The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory at the Woodburn Premium Outlets is not of much use. They have chocolate store items, including chocolate covered apples. Ice creams and some soda is also up for sale. As a major chain, I had not been before, which surprises my own self. I got a milk chocolate truffle for $ 2.75. It was pleasant to eat, but not of much sophistication at that price. For the record, I could have done better within the familiar comfort of Portland. This place is just a normal collection of atoms in the world.

My five year old picked out a caramel apple($ 5.50) with candy its like three bucks more. But HOLYCOW… so good. Granny Smith apples are unreal they almost taste like they were injected with watermelon! So sweet and yummy… They also offer to slice this little piece of heaven for you if your heart desires. Which my son declined. My friend bought Almond Bark overpriced nothing special, I picked out a Chocolate Covered Twinkie($ 3.25). The chocolate on the outside was very good, however the twinkie was hard spongey eewww. My son also got a hot chocolate(best I’ve ever had). They don’t sell esspresso I was slightly disappointed. They do have reg coffee available. Of course I will return. So many odd things to try hehe…

This is my boys favorite chocolate shop. They make a beeline for the chocolate covered marshmallows. I tend to head toward the peanut butter puddles, haystacks and caramels. And they have one of the best selections of caramel apples dipped in so many varieties of sprinkles, nuts and other goodies. Nice variety of items at the Woodburn Company Stores, but I don’t think prices are discounted. My boys blow their whole allowance at this place.
