Customer service is a little sketchy sometimes but what can you expect for a meal under $ 10.00

Had the Chicken Avocado Club; it was very good, albeit quite greasy. I also enjoyed the Smash Fries.
Decent service and the food was prepared very quickly.

Dirty. Floor grimy feeling under shoes. No one cleaning off tables. Dusty. Greasy finger prints all over. Gross lights need cleaning too. Only one worker smiled or even tried to act friendly. One worker was drinking pop as she took our order. Food was not good. Over priced.

This was my first visit to Smashburger and I wasn’t impressed with the cashier, the food or the cleanliness. I gave the cashier my order and he got it wrong. He said it was my fault because I didn’t give it to him right. Then I went to get a table and they were all dirty.
Regarding the food, I order a side of sweet potato fries. They needed more flavor. The black bean burger was smashed so large, the bun was half the size making my burger hang over all the edges. The flavor was ok.
I might give it another try but I wasn’t impressed.

The food is good, and my whole family enjoys it. The last few times we’ve come here we’ve had to wait for a table or booth to be cleared. The avocado burger is the star imo. The burger alone gets 5 stars. Their bussing needs some attention during busy times.

Came in for a burger got s bacon cheese burger it was average fries too thin. When walking to table the floor was greasy slippery would not return to this smashburger

I can’t imagine anyone who would give Smashbirger a bad rating. I love this place they make the best hamburgers ever I would trade in and out any day for a smash Burger in California.

Soooo delicious. The egg bun is amazing. Smashburger is now my definite most favorite fast food. Just excellent. Workers were very nice and the service was good!

Outside eating area was very dirty! Yuck! Food smeared on tables, plus trash area looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days. We had to change tables because the ants we’re so bad around one table. Also we had to both be inside to place our order, because we ordered two beers, & they HAD to see both I.D.‘s. We are over retirement age. Additionally they wouldn’t give our kids glass malt glasses, as we’ve always had in the past. AND delivered one child’s malt 5 minutes before the other child’s malt! :-(

Are you kidding me $ 1.29 for 1 slice of avocado. This is absolutely ridiculous. Chicken sandwich was tasty but way too salty. No chance of ever coming back.

Meh. Don’t understand the hype. You can order your burger lots of different ways, none of which is better than Culvers. Skinny Shoestring potatoes, not my fave. Good service.
At best, it’s ok. Really good ice tea though.

Excellent grilled chicken, avocado on gluten free bun. Fries, of course, are excellent. Someday, want to share a milkshake with the hubby!

Try not eating at food chains when we are traveling so that I can get a good representation of local fare, but since I keep avoiding the ones in SD, decided to give this a go while running errands in the mall. I was very pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Truffle Mushroom burger and added blue cheese to it. It was FABULOUS, and the truffle flavor was very evident (which I love). The string fries were also very tasty. This may just be my new favorite fast food hamburger joint.
By the way the egg bun was very reminiscent of a brioche bun, so soft and flavorful.

Love the black bean burger with fries with rosemary. Make it with baja spicy on chipotle bun. It’s very good. Worth of visit

Don’t ever come here at 3:00 in the afternoon. Horrible service. Waited a good 15 minutes for my food and they didn’t even have to order correct. Then had to wait another 15 minutes for fries.

For fast food, this particular location always wows me with their OUTSTANDING customer service every single darned time!!! Literally. Like WOW! They always go out of their way for me when I come in and honestly it makes me feel kinda special!
Good salads! I love their Cobb with the fried egg on top. Was somewhat disappointed that they got rid of their wedge salad, but oh well… That’s life! Great burgers and I love their Rosemary Shoestring French fries! Very excited we just got a Smashburger in Hudson WI!

25−30usd for two burgers with drinks. Not that the money I was spent for burger in such fast casual places. Burger is ok and place is fine.
Just personal preference.

Went here recently, food excellent, servers good, prices decent. Had the Twin Cities burger, very tasty! Enjoyed the fries with rosemary, garlic, oil. Do try it!

Well let me explain…
Wednesday night was National Burger Day, in which fellow Unilocalers celebrated at Smashburger (St. Paul). It was my first introduction to Smashburger, and just like that, I found myself back there as a paying customer the next day.
Since the previous night was such a success, featuring perfectly executed service and food with attention to detail, I was actually skeptical that another location would uphold the same standards during my spontaneous lunch visit. Well, they totally met my expectations! And the fact that they were even met my expectations, means that they totally exceeded them (does that make any sense at all?).
Anyways, I was greeted by a very cheerful older woman, with beautiful pink hair. She was my burger angel. She addressed my order with such cheerfulness and shared some of her favorite food combo suggestions with me. I wanted fried pickles, which weren’t on the menu, but she was able to easily (and happily!) submit my order. She opined how much she loved them as well, and described how they’re prepped. The man who served me my meal was wicked friendly as well. He asked if there was anything else I needed, and then he promptly brought me a side of my truffle mayo. He came by a second time to make sure everything was going well for me. I want to say he was a manager but I’m not positive. I noticed that he was efficient and content with cleaning the tables after each guest had left. As I walked/​waddled out, he bid me a great day and thanked me for stopping in.
My order was filled exactly to my specifications and within a few short minutes. I don’t have a single complaint about the taste, and I could tell the ingredients were fresh. For quick and fresh food for a good value, Smashburger delivers. The best part was that even after finishing my whole meal, I was not induced into my expected food coma. I believe in miracles.

SmashBurger rocks my socks off. It makes me drool in anticipation. I dream about SmashBurger burgers and fries. Whenever The Man says «where do you want to go?» and we have less than an hour– I cry «SmashBurger!» I’m telling you– if heaven has a fast-​food burger chain, I guarantee it’s going to be SmashBurger.
In slightly other news, I want to share that I have to work ridiculously hard to say SmashBURGER. My brain and mouth always want SmashBROTHER to come out. Like the Mario game?
The burgers are so good. Guys, I’m not kidding around here. They’re like, totally amazing!
Lots of options for toppings, but not so many that it gets overwhelming. The burger patties are so soft and flavorful, and the bun is the right size, and soaks up the good burger juices. You do have to keep a pretty tight grip on the whole thing until you’re done eating it, or you will probably lose pieces or end up with too much burger/​bun ratio– but isn’t that the hallmark of a good burger? You pick it up, grasp it firmly, enjoy the hell out of it, and don’t let go until you’re done. That’s how you enjoy meat, right?
The rosemary garlic fries are way better than the original ones… so just save yourself the trouble and get them already.
I really, really, really, want a SmashBurger NOW! Wonder if I can con The Man for going here for supper instead of making the chicken that looks so boring in the fridge? Wish me luck!
