At long last, I finally made it to Café Fiore after longing to try this place for months. My expectations for Italian restaurants have been pretty high since my trip to Italy this year and my experience here most certainly did not disappoint! Service and food were both spectacular creating for a perfect well-paced date for my fiancée and me. I definitely recommend spacing out your orders so you can relax and enjoy your dining experience. Our server recommended a delicious full-bodied red and let us try it out first… their wine list is great with prices all across the spectrum. I insist you try at some point their Risotto con Pollo e Fungi — it melts away in your mouth and is unlike any risotto I’ve ever tried. All their pasta appears to be freshly made which is a must for me. I’m sure I’ll have more recommendations on dishes as I venture back here and try more but one last tip: leave room for their Tiramisu! You can thank me later.

Hidden gem. Great service, food and atmosphere. Happy Hour, deli, cooking classes all wrapped up in a great Italian bistro. Nice private outdoor patio area too. Definitely our new favorite place.

I have been here many times. Just want to reiterate that each time food and service is outstanding. I have never been disappointed. We have brought many new people here who also have enjoyed the spot. I highly recommend. Had pizza last night. Every bit as good as what you get in Rome. Parking is easy. Staff is attentive.

This is not my first time here and I’m still a satisfactory customer. For tonight, we were here for a friend birthday and ordered: –calamari, always good –beef carpaccio, delish –pork chop is a lifts disappointing since it was very dry –the pasta w/sausage, mushrooms and pink sauce is amazing –the fungi and sausage is on point –very happy with the veal and truffle potatoes –the shrimps over grits is also good As you can see, we ordered and share so we can try a little of everything. I’ve been here and tried other pasta and they are also good. The atmosphere here is always cool and intimate and they always have a great live band/singer. I love all the free parking with validation. The staff is always nice and friendly. The only downside is that the location of this place is a little hidden so not a lot of people know about it. Hope More people will come. It does looks fancy on the outside but really down to earth inside. Will definitely be back.

A very nice experience was had at Café Fiori. This was our second visit to this local Resturant and we enjoyed it again. This time I ordered there Cioppino and it was fantastic. The sauce was rich and had all of the qualities that I have looked for and enjoyed over the years. The dipping bread was charred and a perfect component for soaking up the sauce. In the bowl was an array of clams-mussels-shrimp and octopus. What was missing and should be noted was a flaky white fish or some shell fish which would of completed this experience. My wife had salmon with roasted potatoes which she said was perfectly cooked and yummy. I strongly suggest that a white fish and some shellfish be added to the Cioppino and I guarantee it will be received with rave reviews. The wait staff was attentive and enjoyable. We surely would go back and enjoy another wonderful evening. Irwin Went back last Saturday with friends and looked at the menu and decided we would have a pizza for the table only to be informed they had no dough to make the pizza. I was floored to hear that a Italian restaurant that had pizza on the menu would have that excuse. They apologized etc. they were gracious and brought over a plate of calamari which was very good. Everyone ordered there entrees and were completely satisfied with what was ordered. Earlier in the day one of our friends ordered in advance Crème Brûlée and a chocolate cake because we were celebrating two birthdays. When it came to getting the Crème Brûlée they told us they were out of it. When we reminded them it was ordered earlier in the day they came up with some other excuse. The owner was embarrassed and brought over a couple of deserts on the house. While this did not resolve the problem it showed class on the owners part. Even with the bumps in service the evening was enjoyable and we would go back. Irwin Z

We frequent here and love the food, music, and ambiance. Ordered the Gnocchi and it was delish. Tried a new salad with chicken, beets, avocado, almonds, and more called the Anetta. Highly recommend. Only downfall tonight was they were out of the fluffy bread, so 4 stars tonight.

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants. I come here whenever I can talk friends into it. Love the waiters/bussers. My friends always have a good laugh with them. Great place for a business lunch. I’ve never needed a reservation for a small group although the hostess can be a little«you don’t have a reservation *scoff* «. No I don’t. Because I’ve never needed one… My favorite dishes: Linguine Frutti DiMare Tortellacci Di Zucca Caprese Di Bufala Vera — One of the very few times I’ll eat tomatoes. I don’t know why I like theirs so much. My only complaint, and maybe this comes from me having been a hostess for years is they need to get it together at the front door. Twice now I’ve gone and the girl behind the counter was cold and rude. One time no one was there and we were asked by three different people if we needed something. The concern was appreciated, the disorganization was not.

Been here a few times for corporate lunches… Always been pretty good. But then during my last visit I got a dish that blew me away: The Tortellacci Di Zucca. It is a bunch of giant tortellini in a rich Parmesan sage cream sauce with butternut squash filling. It was the perfect combination of flavors. And definitely in my top 3 Italian pasta dishes. We were also served a complimentary loaf of fresh, warm, and wonderfully soft bread with some kind of tomato salsa that everyone at the table couldn’t get enough of. My one problem: A few hours later I had to use the bathroom 3 times within 1 hour. I spent the majority of the next hour staying inside the bathroom to save time. Let’s leave it at that. And I ate nothing else that day. But let me tell you how darn good this dish was. I plan to go back and get the exact same thing. This time, however, just in case, I am not making any plans for the evening…

Dear Management, So I’ve dined at your establishment several times now. Decided to bring my in-laws for thier anniversary on Sunday May 1st. I was extremely disappointed. 1st your hostess was wearing ripped jeans, which kind of ruined the vibe of taking my in-laws to a nice restaurant. And she was sitting at the host table stuffing her face. Do you not give her a break to eat, or you think its ok for her to eat with the rest of us? 2nd the table we sat at my mother in-law instantly noticed that the floor was sticky and she now had stickiness on her shoes. 3rd the wine glass that was set at the table had dried wine spots on it. The bread plate had crumbs on it. Asked for another plate and the plate that was brought to us was also dirty? Dishwasher broken? 4th the pillowy soft bread that is normally served was no where to be seen. Instead they gave us slices of bread. Eh… 5th ordered an old fashioned drink from the bar. Apparently your bar tender has no idea how to make an old fashioned. I couldn’t even finish it. You’re not supposed to muddle the orange. Kept getting chunks of orange. And it was frothy. Its not a martini! The food was fine, desert was good. Service was ok waitress didnt ask us if we wanted appetizers, which we did. Super disappointed. I wanted the night to be special and it felt mediocre. So manager this looks poorly on you.

The manager contacted me after my previous review and we discussed what happened with my experience getting ill and then having a lack of follow through on communication. While she didn’t quite believe me on the lack of communication at first, it was absolutely the truth. I was almost put off by her insistence, but I put my foot down and we recovered. Believe me, I know when I’m being followed up with on these things. Anyway, she kindly offered to buy me lunch next time, and I really believe in giving places another shot if there’s an effort shown. Long story short? They did a great job, and I think the food is quite decent. I brought a co-worker there and since then I’ve gone a couple more times and re-recommended it to my fellow employees. This time, I got the spicy penne, and it was just the right amount of heat. My companion thought they might have changed the portion size, but we were assured it was just an illusion since they had recently changed their stoneware. I personally felt like it was more than enough food, and I don’t think anyone would leave this place hungry. The staff are generally very nice, and very accommodating. I’ve now come here another two times and the food quality has been very consistent. Thanks for being responsive in the end, and for those of you wanting a decent Italian lunch in the area, look no further!

They saved the night! We were at The Village on a Saturday @ 6pm, planning to have dinner in honor of our girlfriend’s bday but there were no reservations available at many spots for our party of 10 and the wait time was super crazy. I called up Café Fiore whom we’ve dine with in the past and was advised their was a spot open but we had head over quickly! The hostesses greeted us upon our arrival and we were seated near the back with a view of the open kitchen area. The table décor was cute with fresh flowers, citrus fruit and candles as the centerpiece. Décor was cute and rustic, atmosphere was nice and cozy and there was a gentleman playing live music in the bar area. Staff was friendly and our server was amazing who multi-tasked as our bartender as well by making our drinks. Service was a bit slow but it was because they were understaffed. They started us off with fresh bread and bruschetta. We ordered a variety of dishes and enjoyed them, family style :) Antipasto Fiore — nice variety of cold cuts and cheeses Bolognese — creamy and yummy Ravioli — another great dish Burrata Con Bietole — salad was fresh and the citrus dressing was delightful, loved it! Insalata Della Casa — okay Steamed mussels — wasn’t on their menu but they made it! Linguine Frutti DiMare — great There were these cheese sticks they had which the kids loved! Unfortunately the oven wasn’t working that day so we didn’t get to order any pizza I had the Lavender Fields cocktail and enjoyed it! They have a nice drink menu selection :) Located on the south side of Oxnard in an office building and can be overlooked as you drive on the street; Parking is available in the parking structure located in the back 15% off food order with Unilocal check-in! It doesn’t get any better than this :)

This is truly a hidden gem in Woodland Hills. Diagonally across the street from PF Chang, in an office building, not really visible from Oxnard Street as you drive by. You really have to know its there. But it’s worthwhile knowing. Ambience: this is a relatively small restaurant. The furnishings are heavy on the wood accents. Mostly booths. Fairly large bar relative to the size of the restaurant. Service: our server, Allison, was at our table almost immediately after we were seated. She took our drink orders. She was able to explain menu items. The food was served at an appropriate pace. Our water glasses never got below half empty. Both the waiter and the busboy was very attentive to our table. Food: right after our order was placed, the food runner brought a basket of delicious bread. I think it was a focaccia bread served in elongated cubes with a tomato based dipping sauce. A great way to start the meal. We started the meal with the caprese Buffalo with prosciutto as an appetizer. Very thick slices of about 4 different types of tomato. The cheese was melt in your mouth delicious. As my entrée, I ordered the tagliatelle with mushroom sauce and giant prawns. The presentation was very impressive. The prawns would more appropriately have been described as huge rather than just giant. An excellent dish. My wife had the Risotto all’ Alpina. Also delicious. Overall, an excellent dining experience in an informal local Italian restaurant. Plus they give a 15% discount for a Unilocal check in! I will return again

Hidden jem in the Warner Center Towers. Décor is cozy with open kitchen area and live music in the bar. The food here is really good. Love the lobster bisque here it’s amazingly good! The calamari with zucchini is delicious. Martinis are always good here great mixology. I enjoy the Burrata con Bietole salad for lunch, the citrus dressing is great. The sandwiches and homemade chips are also good. The boloneges is really delicious here and the lasagna has the same sauce. Service is friendly and attentive. The outdoor patio is nice too! Valet parking is available

We only had one dish here and a few drinks. Will start with the best parts first: The dish: Risotto with braised short rib. It was GREAT! The rice was al dente(yes!) and the short rib was so TENDER! You could also really taste the red wine. Would order again and again and again. YASSSS — go chef! The drinks: They have an extensive martini list. Wish I could have tried all of them!(really wanted to try the AVOCADOONE!) My date had the lavender martini. It was alright… too syrup-y for my taste. bleh. I had the razzel dazzle martini — cucumber vodka with berries in it. LOVED this one. They also serve you bread before the meal. The bread honestly looks like naan, it was very flavorful with the tapenade they give it with but nothing extra special. Didn’t want to fill up on that before the meal. Maybe serve more Italian style bread at an… Italian restaurant? The busser who did our drinks and begginng-of-the-meal-bread, Ernesto, was SUPERNICE! WELOVEDYOU! The ambiance was also nice. HOWEVER… What this restaurant really lacks is great service. Upon walking in, the hostess was really unmemorable. She looked like she wished she wasn’t at work, and showed no enthusiasm. Our server, Nick, was a nice guy, but he wasn’t really trying to offer great service. He would often ask us how everything was, and before we could even respond, would just walk away. This showed us that while he was going through the standard motions of serving, he didn’t really care about the service he was providing, or how we ACTUALLY felt about the meal. Would come back for the food, but not for a while.

Excellent hidden gem. Décor intimate, does remind me of a café. For more intimate setting the lighting could be tad bit darker, at least for dinner. Pizza delicious. See pic. Crust thin and doughy but also crispy. Salami full of taste with a bit of spice which added a nice kick. Gnocchi was also delicious. Good amount of sauce for dipping. Old fashioned could be made not with crushed ice. One complaint is that this should be rated $$$ considering the prices. Would come back to try other pizzas and dishes.

After eating here twice, I’m convinced that Café Fiore is the best restaurant in the area. Unless you are looking for it, you’ll never find it. It’s slightly inset within big commercial buildings opposite of the Topanga mall. Know where PF Changs is? Go down a block south, and it will be on your opposite side. Take Z Gallerie and mix it with all things Italian and you’ll get modern Italian mixed with American accents. A nice looking bar, an faux open kitchen, and lots of booths and tables. Outside, a small patio offers a little extra on a nice SoCal day. I recommend the Calamari E Zucchini Fritti(4.5 stars), Pasta with Veal & Ricotta meatballs(4.0 stars), and the Lasagna Con Ragu Di Carne(4.5 stars). Service is top notch with visible management making sure all is well. I like that! Note: this is the owner second location of Café Fiore, the other is in Ventura mixed with a nightlife and live band.
