Christina is amazing. She styled my hair for my wedding. It was so beautiful and lasted the entire wedding/​after party. During my consultation, I told her what I was envisioning and she FLAWLESSLY pulled it off. I cannot say enough good things about her. She also did my bridesmaids hair, and everyone looked so beautiful. I highly recommend her for your event and ask for Julie if you are having your make up done!

My sister, mom and I have all been getting my hair done by Christina for over 10 years. Always does a great job and faster than any other colorist! Does a great job with the boys too. The salon is ultra cute and she always makes me feel like family. Highly recommend. :)

This is a long overdue review of Velvet Roar. Christiania has been keeping my mane manageable and hip despite the times I go in there and ask her just to ‘shave it all off’ b/​c I’m having one of those days. The salon is nicely decorated and Christina gives off a lot of good energy that you can’t help but fall victim to. If it wasn’t for Christina I’m sure I’d be sportin’ a Sinead O’connor look now under a variety of hats. Go to Christina if want a quality cut, color or just to stop in and say hi (sometimes she makes cookies).

The absolute best! I drive almost an hour just to see Wendy. If needed I would drive 2 hours. Love the atmosphere and the girls. Wendy and Christina are so much fun, beautiful and best of all… Really talented!

Velvet Roar is the only place I will get my hair cut, since first walking in in early 2012. Christina is an artist and always makes me feel like I’m a model when I leave. I have extremely difficult hair to cut but she never makes any mistakes. The ladies are all outgoing and very friendly so all newcomers are sure to feel like one of the regulars. The salon is also very modern and beautiful just like the stylists :). I recommend this place to everyone I talk to and even put their business cards in my place of work. Keep up the great work ladies!

After just recently moving back to Illinois, I have been in search of a good hair artist here. I came to Velvet Roar and had Leticia dye my hair recently and it turned out exactly how I wanted it. Thank god I found the perfect place. She also gave me the best deep conditioning of my life! A month later and my hair is still silky smooth. The salon is beautiful which makes the experience even better. I will continue to visit Velvet Roar for my hair needs and I fully recommend them to everyone in need:)
