Sleepy Hollow Motor Inn

The Sleepy Hollow is a perfect place to stay in Woods Hole. It is clean, conveniently located close to town and has a nice pool. Most importantly though, they have the most wonderful staff who truly take care of you while you are there. Can’t recommend highly enough.

We got two rooms at this inn for a great price (off-​season in early October). The place was very clean, quiet and cozy. I’m not familiar with the other motels and inns in the area but I highly recommend this one. One great benefit is its close proximity to the ferry landing if you intend to go over to the vineyard. We were able to walk to the ferry in 5 minutes. The manager for the inn sold us our ferry tickets at the same price we would have paid at the landing, and despite the fact that we had checked out, let us keep our car in their lot while we went to the vineyard for the day. A big advantage considering they don’t let you park right there at the ferry landing. Overall an excellent stay.

We came for a quick stay in October. Very nice staff, very helpful as we were from out of town and new to the area. Room was clean but a bit stuffy. Bathroom was also clean, keep in mind the shower area is tiny!!! Very good location and price, I would recommend it if you are looking for a good place to crash while you enjoy the area:)
Ps. I wish I had brought my own pillow. Theirs were serviceable, but just barely.

Sleepy Hollow Motor Inn is old school in all the best ways! From the time we checked in, when the clerk served as concierge to the surrounding area, until we checked out, when they allowed us to park the entire day, this place was wonderful. We had a room with a double bed and a twin. The mattresses were both quite firm. The bedding was sparse, but clean. The bathroom was extremely clean, although tall and/​or very large people would have trouble showering in that tight space. The window unit A/​C did all it could to remove humidity from the air. The night was cool enough that we were quite comfortable. Sleepy Hollow is the last place headed out of Woods Hole and is close enough to walk into town, to the lighthouse and to another beach for a great sunset. The Martha’s Vineyard ferry is an easy stroll and is the least expensive point of departure. There is a 3.5 mile bike trail from Woods Hole to Falmouth, with beautiful views of the beaches along the way. I’ll definitely stay here again.

We stayed here over the weekend and really enjoyed it. It is a place that meets all your basic needs for a reasonable price in the Cape. Nothing fancy at all, but we just needed a place to sleep. My only suggestion would be to have do not disturb signs for the rooms, as we had closed the windows and blinds because we had left our laptop in our room while we spent the day in MV, and we came back to a clean bedroom with our windows wide open. We would have preferred just to put up a sign and opt out of the cleaning service. Overall though a cute, clean place.

Just by chance I stopped here to see if they had a vacancy for memorial weekend. They did! Thank goodness, because I left home with no real game plan for my weekend.
Stay here if you can. It is just a short walk to the ferry, and you will save on parking. You can also by your ferry ticket right there at the desk, so you won’t have to wait in line at the terminal.
Very close to town center. Lots of goodies.
The rooms are quaint with homey Quilts on the beds, the bathroom is a nice size, and was super clean.
They have an outdoor pool.
Staff was very friendly, and helpful.
I had over done it on a bike ride the day before my checkout, and I was moving a bit slower that my norm.
I asked for a late check out and they were happy to accommodate me.
Will definitely go back!

We had a great stay here last weekend for Memorial Day. We had to make a last-​minute reservation here because we had been camping in Truro, but got rained out. This location was perfect — right down the road from the Ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. The staff was super friendly and had great recommendations and tips for us. We rode our bikes down to the ferry and took it over to MV for the day. The room was pretty basic, but had all the necessities. It was super clean and we had cable TV. It was perfect for what we needed! Thanks, Sleepy Hollow.
