Not only did they have a large selection of pies but they also had cannolis! Like could this place get any better?! Well it sure does because the seating was fantastic. Great views and great food, what more could you ask for. Definitely a good way to end the day after having a shitty dinner at the 4170 down the street.

I’m going to up my review of Pie in the Sky because of their ability to make a great egg sandwich… on a popover. The rest of my review stands. It is a little expensive, but getting a really good egg sandwich when you’re traveling deserves an extra star.

The best place to get breakfast in all of Falmouth! Their bacon egg and cheese popovers are to die for. Additionally, the chocolate croissants are the best I have ever had, but ask for them to heat it up so that the inside gets all gooey. Their wraps and sandwiches are also delicious– a great place to pick up a big breakfast or lunch order to go. You can’t leave woods hole without stopping here. Tip: There is always a line on weekend mornings so get there early or late, but they do move quickly and it is absolutely worth the wait!

Be sure to try the bread pudding if you have an appetite and an urge for dense sweetness. It’s delicious. Not so keen on my spinach and feta croissant which had the consistency of bread, not the light flakiness of a traditional croissant. Still, this place is so worth a visit. Love it.

Scrumptious coconut macaroons. Toasted brown and crusty outside, moist and cheery inside. Think bagel only a coconut macaroon. Cheese Danish wasn’t so good. Filling was kinda like cheese soup.

Arrived around 7:30 on a Tuesday morning in May, it was busy, but the line moved faster than we could decide on what we wanted. So many delicious choices! The pecan rolls are loaded with pecans & so amazingly delicious! The coffee & espresso was better than Starbucks! The inside is small, but there is a good amount of outside seating. I’d definitely come here again!

Have you ever been to the same place 3 times in 24 hrs? Well, you’ve probably never tried the goodies at PITS… it started innocently enough we had a cookie and a lime bar. Those delectables are good enough to blow donald trump’s toupee back. So we we went back later that day and robbed their bakery case of brownies, cannolis, more cookies and lime bars. Woke up in Falmouth and decided we had to come back for breakfast. Ham egg and cheese croissant later we are stuffed and cant wait to return. Berkeley crunchy granola vibe, love it so much for restoring my chill.

The name says it all. It’s the best place in town for a sweet treat, and coffee.

A must stop for me every time I’m on the to or from the Vineyard. Everyone is friendly and accommodating, never rude or snobbish.

I wanted to love this place and really what is there not to love? A cozy and quaint little café right by the sea off the docks. This place is lovely inside out and I can almost spend endless hours here just right by the harbour. These guys are the very definition of overachievers! Everything made in house from pastries to sandwiches to even roasting their own coffee beans. Every corner you look in this tiny space there are always interesting tidbits and items that catches your eye; anything from housemade oats in a cup to even having their own ceramic cups for sale as a souvenir. I absolutely adore this space! Unfortunately, I wish I can feel the same way about their coffee and almond bread pudding. I have the utmost respect and admiration for folks that love the craft of coffee making; everything from sourcing, roasting and ultimately cupping. However, my latte as with most in the Boston area is way too hot; the milk is scalded. I went with one of my favourites the Yirgacheffe and it felt too light on my palate, really lacking any flavours and/or aroma; perhaps this may be a dosing problem. Latte aside, the pudding was way too heavy with almond extract. I like the caramelized crust on the outside but the almond was way too overpowering which ultimately overshadowed all other flavours. I hope these folks read this review(and work on some of the things I’ve mentioned) as I will reiterate that I have the greatest admiration for what they do. Still, I would recommend anyone to stop by this place on their way to Martha’s or perhaps just a cruise around the harbour.

Here is another year-around eatery spot in Cape Cod. This one is located just a few minutes walk from the Martha’s Vineyard ferry terminal. They are more of a café and bakery, this means that they are open early. In their case, they are open super early(from 5 am!) which is really good if you are taking the ferry really early in the morning, and you need a little coffee fix with some freshly baked item. The inside is rather small, I mean, really small. Since the outdoor space was nice, I somehow thought that the inside would be a good size too. Getting a seat can be a quite the challenge during the Winter. They offer handmade croissants, pies, cookies, popovers, and breads, all baked from scratch. Since we were there for lunch, we decided to get some sandwiches and coffees instead. Their coffees are all 100% Organic & Fair Trade, and sandwiches are made to order. They also offer homemade soups, quiche, and salads. Pretty good selection of quick lunch menu items. The lattes and sandwiches were quite delicious, more so than I expected. Fresh, tasty, high quality. After we finished with our sandwiches, we decided to get some pie. We were at «Pie in the Sky» after all. The girl who prepared the pie slices was very sweet, she didn’t realize we were going to eat them there, so she had them in the plastic container. When she realized we were staying, she apologized and offered to put them on the plate(with a nice smile), but then the manager/owner(?) said«just give it to them like that, you already put them in the plastic container!» And he said this right in front of me(customer) in a mean, rude manner… The other staff there were all friendly and sweet, except this guy, who never smiled or greeted a customer… So, other than this one rude guy, it was a nice experience. I would go back their again for quick bites and awesome coffee. You can read my full review of this restaurant and food on my food blog, foodlovergirl.

My favorite place around this part of the galaxy. We’ve tried their pies, a variety of them and they’re all great, rich, and tasty. Staff is super friendly and kind, with great attitude answering all questions and putting up with us. This is our main destination when driving down from Boston.

Tasty lunch spot if you want a break at the end of the bike trail. Hubby and I stopped here after accidentally taking the«short» part of the trail first(rather than the longer part first). But we were happy to have lunch before riding the rest of the way. Sandwiches were good, and my husband said their bread pudding was to die for :) They have nice outside seating, which served us well during the summer when they were very crowded. Also would have been a convenient place to eat if we were taking the ferry, so I think a lot of the crowds come from that.

3 stars for a good pie but store was not the cleanest. We came on a weekend day and there was a small line in the small store. The people are overall friendly but the store itself isn’t clean. There was garbage filled in the store and some of the pastries had flies flying around landing on them!!! Huge red flag! Regardless, we got a slice of key lime pie :) Key lime pie — Soft on top, very tangy. Highlight was the crust which was crunchy and thick. Coffee — Average tasting, nothing special here. They have a bunch of syrups if that’s your thing to flavor your coffee. Overall, I’d try another pie shop since their pie was ok but not amazing and the lack of cleanliness is concerning.

100th review, woo! I went to Pie in the Sky years ago for lunch with a bunch of fellow college students. Fast forward to now and the place is almost exactly how I remember it, in a quaint New England town that also never seems to change. On this visit we had breakfast sandwiches, the ones with ham/bacon, egg, and cheese, packed into buttery, flaky popovers — heavenly! I’m not sure if the not-very-good food at MBL cafeteria we had already been forced to eat for days biased this review, but thank goodness for Pie in the Sky!

All of the expectations set forth by the previous Unilocal reviews that enticed me to try this place out were satisfied. I came in here hungry and hopeful for a really good breakfast sandwich while waiting for the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard — it’s only a minute walk away from the terminal. That quest was accomplished when I walked out, happy and plump. I stepped in around 9:30AM and the place was pretty busy already, indicating a good constant rush of previously satisfied customers. The inside is pretty small, but not uncomfortably so. There is still a good amount of seats. It’s the kind of place a lot of people would find cute, eccentric, or even hipster-ish. They have their own coffee roaster chilling in the middle. There’s definitely a different feel to this place, but it’s very great. The whole staff is extremely friendly even though I saw that this place opens at 5am every morning(how they can manage to stay peppy is beyond me). My family and I managed to get one of the only two tables inside. There is more seating outside, but it was just an extremely brisk morning. We ordered a different breakfast sandwich, one for the each of us, and one small coffee(which unfortunately was not photographed, but really, it just looked like coffee). All of the breakfast sandwiches were delicious and filling; I have no complaints. The bacon was pretty big too! The coffee was also very pleasing. I took it black and it didn’t have that awful sour or bitter taste that could occur wih black coffee. It was just right. After finishing sandwiches, I tried their renowned key lime pie, and it was delicious. Perfect graham cracker crust, delicious, gooey, and tart lime filling. All in all, an absolute must-go.

Pretty nice place. The location and the building itself are awesome and fun but the food and coffee is just average. Got the turkey rueben and was not impressed. It took a long time and wasn’t that great. If you do want something quick id come here.

I just introduced my wingman to Popovers and hot dog, they do not disappoint! This seaside bakery can be mistaken for your mothers kitchen when you first walk in the door. Sure, it’s a little light with a few stools and tables, but the aromas, chalkboard menus and bustle of the bakery(keep up the great work Krista!) and barista team is impressive. They take obvious care in their ingredients and execution, with multiple pastries proudly on display. Popovers with egg, with jam, plain or your choice of fillings is an unbeatable combination. Not to be missed!
