I love a good independent hardware store but Roberts Hardware & Tack is so much more. The mix of country life supplies, hardware basics and urban sophistication housewares makes for a super fun browse.(Although I prefer to spend my entire visit in the excellent housewares section!) Most importantly, they have everything you need in a hardware store. Plus the buyers do an excellent job of stocking this small to medium sized store with best-in-class products, which saves everyone time.

great local hardware store. It’s the only hardware store up in this area, and they have everything you need!

This place has everything! You wouldn’t know it from the outside, but this place is huge and has everything. It’s worth browsing through and getting ideas for things to fix or improve around your house. The prices aren’t competitive with say Home Depot, but it saves you time, gas and hassle to buy here.

I really like this hardware, i stop by for emergencies while im at work when im in need of any tools or irrigation supply. I do have to say, the guy that works in the morning hes around his 50’s, he allways opens late, not at 7:30am. This is woodside and people like me work early and sometimes are in need of tools at 7:30am. One day i had to wait until 8am until he opened. Also i have a fealing he dislikes hispanics/Mexicans even though i speak fluent English, he always gives me a bad vibe, but the rich people with Mercedes get treated very well. Other than that its a good hardware store.

This is a great local business! Perfect location for me. I like that is not in a crazy, crowded shopping center. I especially like the tack section of the store. I have visited many tack stores in the area and this is definitely in the top 3. I wish I would have known they sell muck boots here because I would have definitely bought them there. They also have a good variety of other tack such as leather care equipment and nutritive products for horses. Definitely coming back soon!

Robert’s is a great resource for folks who are further afield than Lowes or HD. You pay a little more for the enhanced value, folks — get over it. (I’m happy to pay a little extra to not have to schlep all the way across RWC to Lowes, to support a family-run and long-standing business, and to park 5 feet from the front door.) They always have what I’m looking for, including good advice.

Get ready to be thrown back to the 1950’s or 1960’s. This place is exactly what you think of when you think of an old fashioned hardware store — in the best way. The selection of 1000s of different items is curated well. Even if there are only 1 or 2 varieties of each item, they are the exact item you would choose if you went to a store that gave you a choice of 10 or 20. Just browsing the shelves you think, «Gee I didn’t come in for that, but I sure could use it /or/I sure do want it!» The gentleman behind the counter knew where everything was, and was pleasant and helpful. It was a genuine pleasure to come in. I’ll be bringing my husband next time. That may take hours… but that’s OK.

Fixing a toilet is very unglamorous thing. But if you think about it, the toilet is a technological marvel. If you run a continuous stream of water the toilet never gets full. If you dump a whole lot of water, it drains magically, then refills to where it was. The bowl structure, the siphon behind it and the water level device in the tank take care of that but we mostly take that for granted. Until my water level float broke. So I hit up Roberts to find a new one to discover there’s a whole crazy world of gadgets. My old device was an old balloon with a chain and a stopper. The new one I got has a mini water meter, it’s extendable/collapsible, and everything is now light polymer. I never though the choices in a hardware store would be so fascinating. Go Science!

Robert’s Hardware & Tack is such a hybrid of a store that it’s worth a visit to try to figure it out. It caters to the diverse clients who make up the historic village of Woodside. Locals come here for actual hardware — the screws, pipes, fluids, tools, nails, paints, plasters, etc. — needed to fix, maintain, and mend, while higher-income shoppers pick up chlorine for the outdoor pool, tack for their horses, or new additions for their ultra-sleek patio gardens. I picked up a bottle of Gorilla Glue to replace some loose stones on our fireplace and to repair an outdoor table where we grill, read, and enjoy the redwoods. I was very, very pleased with my purchase. Paid for with cash, not credit. In the end, I realized that Robert’s Hardware & Tack is part of the community, and deservedly so. It’s been here longer than most and is run by people who care. Everyone needs a place like this in their neighborhood.

Your such a tool, complaining about not having a price on the bbq’s. How about saying something about the hardware store, which I might add, is awsome. Nice one Phillip W. wish you didn’t have money envy.

Always been very helpful when i have been in. My husband would say the same. They don’t always have what you need but often do.
