I have gone to Amy at The Salon for extensions for the last 3 years. She does an incredible job, and I constantly get compliments on my hair. I love the extensions and I will continue to get them. Most of my family sees her too — She specializes in Balayage, Extensions and Ombré.

Amy uses Cinderella Extensions, which is a brand that requires the stylist to get licensed to use them on clients, plus it’s 100% real REMI hair. She’s totally on point with color matching my hair to the extensions — You can’t see the difference at all. People are always surprised if they find out I have extensions because they look so natural.
I’m super busy with work, and Amy is fantastic about working with my schedule.

Amy Donovan at «The Salon» is not only a fantastic stylist, she is also so very considerate. I work at a very busy office and have very little free time Monday through Fridays. Amy is always willing to schedule me early in the morning for my hair cuts, so I am not late to work. Thank you so much Amy Donovan! You have a natural talent!

I recently went and got my hair done at The Salon by Amy Donovan. I wanted a change and something that was subtle but different. She suggested I do an ombré dye job and so I took the advice. I was very happy with the results and highly suggest that if you make it to The Salon, Amy is a definite go to person! I love my hair and I loved having someone young and fun to talk to while I was there!

Everyone is really nice and helpful. Heather, my stylist, is always welcoming and she does an excellent highlighting job. She doesn’t rush but takes the time to do it evenly and finely.

The Salon really came through when I was in a serious pickle. I had an up-​do appointment at another hair styling salon to get prepped for the symphony opening gala. The hair stylist called in sick and I was notified mid day that they had to cancel my 3 pm appointment. I called The Salon in a panic and they assured me that they would «take care of me and make me look pretty.» I can assure you they did! Debbie Garriga did a fantastic job on my hair while Gaby SIMULTANEOUSLY did my nails in a color that perfectly complemented my gown. I arrived in a panic because I was late from another appointment. I showed Debbie some pictures of hair styles I liked while she prepped my hair, and she showed me a couple of different ways she could style and I loved how communicative she was to ensure she created a look that I loved. She was super accommodating and worked quickly yet paid attention to every detail so I got out of the salon on time, looking great, even though I had arrived 15 min. late.
I can’t recommend these ladies highly enough and will go back to try their other services soon.

I saw Tina at the Salon and she was great! I had my hair done for an event I attended recently. I was worried about trying a new salon, but, she did better than I could have imagined! She tried a new color and up-​do, added some extensions and it was perfect, better than I could have described or asked for. The salon is also very nice and private and in a beautiful area in Woodside. I’m so glad I found her, I have my new stylist and any woman knows. thats hard to find!

Tina Diamos did my hair for prom. It was absolutely amazing. I had two proms and each night I got compliments for my hair that Tina worked so hard on. I would go back to her any day she is fantastic. I highly suggest her to anyone who wants their hair to look amazing. She is so professional and hard working. She is also a good person to have a conversation with while getting your hair done. Ask for Tina!

Great men’s haircut!
I was very hesitant to have my haircut a shorter style after three years of growing it but once Debbie was through, I was very pleased! Thanks Debbie! I will definitely be coming back!

If you want a consistently great men’s cut go see Amy Donavon. I’ve been going to her for over two years now and can’t be happier. She knows what she’s doing (curly/​wavy hair) and her easy going, friendly personality is just a bonus. Amy is also great about fitting me in last minute since I have a busy schedule and she’s willing to stay a little late if I’m coming from the office. Amy is a great stylist all around and I’m glad I found her!

I can only rave about Rita. She is an expert hair colorist and so very pleasant, and even funny. I love visiting her every 6 – 8 weeks. She has always given me great highlights and lowlights, consistently providing results that look very natural. She educates herself continually by traveling to Paris where she takes classes on color and is constantly improving what she does, taking a fresh approach to each appointment. Prices are reasonable as well. Oh, she also is gives great, professional haircuts — she really observes the way the hair grows, asks questions about how you care for your hair in terms of how you routinely style. She takes the time to analyze and this is appreciated. It’s not typical to get service like this, ever.
As for the person who does facials, she too is very nice and professional but the room in the back is not ideal to conduct those types of treatments. I understand she has a loyal clientele but it was distracting for me to hear the background noise of the salon and unfortunately, will probably not get another facial there again.

The Salon is a lovely and professional salon in the town of Woodside. The receptionist and shop owner are warm and welcoming. My stylist, Amy Donovan does an amazing job on highlighting and cutting my hair! A bonus is that she is easy and fun to talk too! Go see Amy for your next color or cut!!!

I’ve been coming here for almost a year & have never had a problem until I decided to dye my hair blond here. I showed the stylist a picture of the color that I wanted. Before she started she said the color might be a few shades off. I thought that would mean alittle darker or lighter than the picture. (the color that I wanted was light blond my hair is dark brown) After the first round of bleach she dried my hair so we could see how the color came out. It was GROSSLY UNEVEN. The roots & tips of my hair were significantly lighter than the middle. Because of the inconsistencies she had to rebleach my hair it looked better but it was no where near the color I wanted it looked light brown almost blonde but not quite. I didn’t think it was a big deal because I figured I could come back. When I went to pay the receptionist said my total was $ 235. $ 235 to bleach my hair the wrong color & the stylist expected me to come back? SERIOUSLY?! I got charged $ 235 for 2 dye jobs a slight trim, blow dry & the color that I wanted hadn’t been achieved. I’ve bleach my hair before at other salons Iam ok w/​paying $ 235 IF the color I want is achieved. I talked to the stylist & she refunded half the amount of the color $ 95 out of $ 235 so I ended up paying $ 145 to bleach my hair an ugly light brown. Before i left asked the receptionist what the salon policy is for a stylist messing up on a dye job she said I had to deal directly w/​the stylist so «The Salon» has no way to protect there company standards or ensure quality. Don’t dye ur hair here
