Del Taco

There always seems to be delays here at night. This time, the poor girl who worked was apparently the only one there. She was unloading the truck at 11:50 at night. She asked me to wait for a few minutes. I drove off 13 minutes later. This location is poory run, given this type of service.

Usually very good service. This particular night was disappointed. Employee was rude. Said thank you and ignored me. Said thank you again and walked away… Oh well.

Blech. I got food poisoning from eating here, I contacted the management to let them know and was brushed off and treated rudely, twice. They practically accused me of lying, while acting annoyed with me that I was wasting their time with my complaint. Ive never experienced such horrible customer service coupled with horrible food. They then lied and said they’d mail me a refund. Weeks later and no refund. Avoid this place like the plague, its pure evil.

I hope the manager cares enough to read this review. I am a fan of the food, however the late shift folks I feel are lazy and not providing the service the company provide. Twice in the past 3 weeks I have been on my way back in town from traveling and stopped by after 11:00 PM because I was craving a breakfast burrito. 2 weeks ago I was told they can’t do breakfast because they it takes 45 minutes to fire up the stove top and I could wait… so I went to Waffle House. Tonight I went by again, and was told «we ain’t serving breakfast right now» to which I responded… well the sign said 11:00 PM to 11:00 AM… her response. «Oh…um…we are out of eggs» I do not buy it for one second, and I think I was just flat out lied to. So here I sit in the Waffle House parking lot again. I am 100% calling corporate to confirm this was the case. Way to ruin a solid place with lazy people who don’t care.

I never ate anything but that other taco place… what’s the name? Well, I am glad del taco was the only thing open. I’m not easily swaded… but the taco shell was crispy, lettuce fresh and cold, tomatoes were ripe, meat was juicy and hot, and cheese finely shredded slightly melted… I was happy! A definite try for anyone who is stuck in some old habits…

Not bad for a little fast food joint. A little more upscale than Taco Bell with fresher ingredients in my opinion. They don’t skimp out with loading up tacos. I personally enjoyed the 8 layer burrito. Give it a shot.

This has to be the worst location and I’ve been to a few. The food is thrown in a paper wad and the wait is always about ¹⁵⁄₂₀ min for drive through. Today I had to ask for my drink and the kicker… They forgot two tacos. Not sure how they can forget two out of three.

NOT QUITE!
Today was m first visit to this location. I arrived at this location shortly after 11;30 am and there were about five people in a line that was not moving. One gentleman who appeared to be on his lunch break just turned and left. The kitchen seemed to be overwhelmed with this small amount of people and I began to wonder what would happen during a real «rush hour».
After visiting the Kennesaw location, this location leaves a lot to be desired and was definitely a disappointment. I ordered the chicken quesadilla which was delivered dry, with no sauce and did not take as fresh as what I had received in Kennesaw.
My friend ordered the beef tostados which was too heavy on the beans. She did scrape some of the beans off but felt that there was not enough meat.
Unlike the other location, this location did not have the nice sauce/​salsa station. They have the packets of sauces displayed in baskets on each table.
They still get three stars because the food was not a total disaster, the place was clean and the staff was nice and friendly.
Would I return? No, because I really appreciate quality and the other location is just far more superior and is worth the extra drive time.

I typically don’t review fast food restaurants as they are what they are. But my trip to Del Taco this weekend was bad and this place needs improving. The food itself wasn’t horrible, but we waited 20 minutes from the time we walked in the door until getting our food… and there was only 2 people in line in front of us. (The drive thru wasn’t busy, as I thought this was the culprit)
The lady working the register had no clue how to do her job, the 2 people behind her were equally lost and management was nowhere to be seen. For «fast food», this was a fail. I will probably go back one day, but will make sure I have ample time to wait.

For a fast food taco place it was surprisingly good. Better than Taco Bell for sure. Tasted fresh. Great price. I will definitely be going back.

Originally from SOCAL, I Just moved to the ATL and was ESTATIC that I stumbled across a DEL TACO IN WHICH I nicknamed DEL FLACO (MY BUDDY). I wasn’t even hungry because we had Taco Mac earlier and I still had to get the cheesburger, double meat taco and YES! Crinkle Fries! Gorda!#! Going back for their SHRIMP TACOS!!! YUM!

Dont eat here. Worst food i have ever had. Slaw on fish tacos was old and tasted bad. Stopped at next exit and git real food. Dont waste your money here like us.

Not sure if they’re having a bad night or what but this is the worst meal I had a long time. Lettuce was extremely bitter and french fries were a salt lick. Blah.

Not bad enough to complain. Not good enough to feel satisfied or come here again. Very much so «meh».

Oh Del Taco, how do I love thee? Being a So Cal native, Del Taco is my go-​to fast food joint, but alas there aren’t any here in ChattTown. Luckily there are a few in the ATL area and even luckier that I had an appointment in town so I made sure to stop on my way back home.
Del Taco is 100,000,000,000,000 times better than Taco Bell. No comparison. They use real beans, not reconstituted, and real meat. They offer lots of different options, like the great drunk food eats of nacho fries with jalapenos. MMMm mmmm. They even do street tacos and carnitas. Whatcha got to say to that TB? Boo yah!
I buy several bean & cheese burritos to go and warap them up and freeze them so I can get my DT fix when I’m craving it.

The people here are always nice. They hand shred the cheese daily so it is not the wax coated preshreded stuff other places use. They make things to order so it takes a couple of minutes but never much of a wait. I always eat breakfast here on Sunday with my family. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Food was fresh and hot. That’s where the good ended. Cashier rung my order up wrong even though I clearly ordered large hash browns instead of small. When someone says large instead of regular, ring up the larger size not the smaller one. duh?
Food was hot but you need to change your fryer grease because the hash browns looked burnt even though the did not taste burnt. That is a sign of old grease. Salsa packets on the table is a good idea. But I like the salsa that is at the store on Chastain Road. I had to use 14 packets of salsa to add flavor to my food. It’s easier to use the pump version at Chastain Road to get the salsa I want (and need to add flavor).
I may be back to see if service improves. I doubt they will add salsa pumps.

Awesome food and the staff here was very nice! Forget taco hell… will definitely be back!

Went to this chain for the first time. Nice /​clean looking inside.
Ordered a dozen soft tacos and a couple burritos.
The burritos are small, but tasty.
A marine gas girl noticed my Del Taco packaging and said «Del Taco is the bomb»
Need I say more?

Remember this is fast food. If you want gourmet Mexican then this is not the place for you. Move along.
If you want Mexican fast food that is 300 times better than Taco Bell (literally just up the street) then welcome.
First positive. It is BRAND NEW. I can’t remember the last new Taco Bell I went to.
Next it does taste like most of the things are cooked in house. Again, not filet mignon, but it tastes fresher.
Sauces at the tables instead of having to hunt for them near the drink dispenser? Brilliant! And convenient.
And amazingly the soft corn tortilla tacos (carnitas, fish, chicken and shrimp) are great! They come in foil with two tortillas and a lime. Better than some sit down places I have been.
Last…everyone here is nice. Genuinely nice. I got complemented in my sweater by the person who called my number.
Del Taco you were missed. I am happy you are back in my fast food rotation!
