Regret my decision to check it out. Expensive, low quality. Employees are friendly though, they have that going for them at least.

Old timers like myself will remember Chicken City. This place is the only location that cooks up fried chicken in the style of that old beloved Rhode Island chain. Pressure fried chicken. I’ll take that any day over KFC’s greasy fare. To be fair though, this place is hardly recommendable. It’s dingy at best and they have cut back immensely on their offerings. I travel all the way from Coventry to get my fix but I would never suggest this place to anyone. We all have a dive that we can slip into once in a while. This is my guilty pleasure.

It’s a very good place if your looking for home cooked meals. I always go there and I always enjoy it very much. The food is cooked well and the sides are very delicious and they taste like home food. There are new owners now and I still like the place. The new owners and very kind and welcoming. I really recommend this place! Very good

The Food Is Very Bland And The Prices Are Expensive For A Chicken Dive. No Flavor At All. Worst Fried Chicken Around. Stuffing Tastes Like Cardboard. KFC Is Better For The Money!!!

Yuck yuck yuck! We ordered fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn. It all tasted horrible… it actually tasted like NOTHING! We had to ask for the cranberry sauce and corn muffin which is supposed to come with the meal. I will not be returning to this place.

The key to getting good food is the owners ability to communicate. After waiting 90 minutes for a delivery of our order, I called back. They didn’t even make the order. They had my phone number, but didn’t even attempt to call us. I’ll wait for the next proprietor of this place to take over before ordering again, which shouldn’t be long. No business can stay viable the way they do business!

Delivery guys kid pee’d in my front yard. After receiving my mediocre food, I heard giggling I looked out my window and the delivery guys short chubby kid had his pants around his ankles relieving himself in my front yard, my girlfriend saw much more than she needed too. we yelled out the window the kid jumped in the car and they took off. I called and complained and nothing came from it. More than disgusted with this trashy place, I’ll never order from here again

When Chicken Power was located in Cumberland, I would have given it five stars. Since relocating to Woonsocket and changing ownership, the quality of the food has steadily declined to the point where it is unacceptable on all fronts. Eating inside the restaurant is not visually pleasing and the food appears at times to be nothing more than day old leftovers sitting under heat lamps. On my last visit, the fried chicken was under cooked and the potato wedges were cold to the touch. The entire tray was discarded into the waste basket and I was out the door.

I have been to chicken power several times. I usually get the roasted half chicken dinner & it is ok. The last 2 times I went, I ordered a whole rotisserie chicken & when I cut into it, the chicken was still bleeding as in RAW! I disregarded it & jus stuck it in the oven. The next time I went, I ordered a 12piece fried chicken dinner, the chicken was DRY& underseasoned. I do not recommend this place, although I do have to say the sides are homemade tasting & delicious. The chicken not so much.

I would like to give this place another try. I feel that it has more potential than I experienced. I called ahead in advance and it was difficult to understand the man on the other end, his accent was very thick and he didn’t understand me either. Eventually got my order placed. Despite ordering at 5pm on a Friday, one of the peak take out times, my food was barely warm and they did not have any mac and cheese. Chicken bites were good, made with real chicken, no fillers or gritty bites. I ordered buffalo bites but they came plain, man asked if I wanted sauce and I said buffalo, so it worked out in the end. I ordered the dinner, which, according to menu, comes with 2 sides, cranberry sauce and corn bread, although I did not receive the cranberry sauce or cornbread. Instead of mac and cheese I got potato wedges(I think they are called jo jos) as well as mashed potatoes with gravy. Both sides were lukewarm and got cold quickly and there was barely any gravy on the mashed, which were quite lumpy, which I know some people like but I prefer them smoother. I figured before I left there was no cranberry or corn bread as I didn’t see them in the takeout container but didn’t feel like the hassle of trying to tell him, due to the language barrier. I feel if my food was hot I would have had a better experience, and my drive home was under a minute, so it wasn’t as if it cooled in the car. Man at counter was friendly but his accent was so thick it made communication for us difficult. I will try this place again when I am in the area. Chicken bites were some of the best I’ve had, as far as takeout goes, even despite the temperature. Took discover card w/no minimum purchase, which was nice.

I love me some chicken. Fried, baked, grilled whatever. I also love options and lots of ‘em: side dishes, flavours, sauce choices make me tingle with joy. I do not like gastronomical disasters or fried chicken soaked in layers of grease. In particular, a certain Colonial usually induces all types of stomach issues within like, 20 minutes of consumption. This is where Chicken Power comes in. A simple concept: chicken, with a twist: Chicken Power has everything from cranberry sauce, mashed sweet potatoes, cornbread, veggies, stuffing to chicken chunks, chicken pot pie, chicken breasts, hot wings: you name it, they serve it. I especially love how two combos(which include the chicken cut of your choice, two side dishes, cranberry sauce & cornbread) set us back a cool $ 15 smackers which considering their gracious portioning, is seriously a wicked good score. I freakin’ love their juicy, tasty chicken chunks and their rice is pretty banging(they seem to rotate between rice pilaf and a spanish yellow rice). I LOVE their stuffing and gravy while their mashed sweet potatoes have just the perfect balance between savory and sweet. Don’t let the old fashioned interior frighten you away! The dining area is very small and pretty minimal but it’s still comfy and does the job when we stop in for a quick lunch after laundry. I do recommend calling ahead if you’re picking up hot wings as it can take a hot couple to cook. Can you feel the power? Cause dude, I totally do!
