Ciro’s Tavern

Decided to go after watching the Phantom Gourmet segment on YouTube. Our friends were thrilled we found an English-​themed pub run by Italians with great food :-) Two of us got the steak sandwich and it was terrific; cooked exactly as we asked. My wife got a crusted chicken dish. She liked the meat but the pasta comes with a whole lot of cheese so she left most behind. Another friend got the squash ravioli; she liked the flavor but notes that the sauce is really sweet so she didn’t care for that so much. The bartender served us on a quiet afternoon and was very pleasant. The atmosphere was unique and the prices reasonable. We didn’t try the outside patio but we’ll plan on that next time. Definitely will go back.

Travelling home from a Somerset softball tournament (too early) and stopped for lunch in Woonsocket. Unilocalers helped direct us here and we were not disappointed. We had the lobster BLT, and steak sandwich. Both were great! The patio was awesome, and the servers were super friendly and attentive. The bathroom was also very clean as well. Totally recommend lunch here.

Ciros is usually a hit or miss for me, as far as customer service goes. However, the food is always phenomenal. Lobster flatbread pizza is my favorite. Wings are amazing too. Love the outside patio/​bar but it’s hard to get service out there sometimes

Decent food, horrendous service. We were the only people seated at a table other than the bar and our waitress and other employees seemed more interested in texting and gossiping than covering their sections (we sat for ten minutes before anyone even came over to our table.) Coming from two people in the restaurant industry, this place was very lackluster.

what a surprise this place was! sat outside on the patio. the food was something. I never order nachos but got the pulled pork nachos with coleslaw on top… a full meal listed as an appetizer, I could not finish it. real pleasant place to visit. I was going to a show at Chan’s but would come here again just for the food. highly recommended

The only reason I’m not giving this 5 stars is that I haven’t had everything on the menu. But I plan to. Will go out of my way to come here. The flatbreads alone are worth it. Friendly, attentive service.

I went here last night for a bite to eat and drinks. I enjoyed the outdoor seating area with the fire pits. It was a beautiful night and this was a huge plus. The food was pretty good. I had a steak sandwich with French fries and enjoyed it. It was very busy so it seemed service was a bit slow but it didn’t bother me. This place is very cozy and I would definitely return, especially to sit outside.

Came here for dinner before a show across the street. We didn’t have reservations on a Friday night, but the hostess was able to find us seating upstairs. Our waitress was extremely nice, very attentive, and working hard. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. The steak sandwich was very bland, and the fish and chips were so heavily battered as to seem like one big Chinese food chicken finger. The batter was so overwhelming that the fish was very soggy. The highlight was the service, but the food was very underwhelming. We’ll grab dinner outside of Woonsocket before the next show.

Came here today on the recommendation of a friend who said it was «the ONLY place in Woonsocket» that is a good restaurant. I was not disappointed. We came in as a party of 6 in the mid afternoon so we were seated right away.
They seem like they have a pretty decent beer selection, I ordered a Revival IPA because they’re local. For food I ordered the lobster BLT and it was delicious. Nice pieces of juicy lobster over smoky bacon on a buttery pretzel roll with seasoned mayo and lettuce and tomato… you really can’t go wrong. I would totally order this again. The fries that came with it were just regular pub fries — nothing special but they’re fries– so they tasted good.
My friend ordered the poutine and was disappointed because it was not made with authentic cheese curds — it was like cheez-​wiz and then topped with gravy. So, don’t order the poutine if you’re from Vermont or Canada — you’ll probably be sad if you do.
The bathroom also smelled like urine. I thought maybe it’s because there is a urinal in addition to a toilet, but my friends commented they noticed pee all over the floor. This is an easy fix though.
I would come back here again if I’m in Woonsocket.

Ciro’s is definitely worthy of a stop; the tavern ambiance is quite nice with a darkly lit, wooden paneled interior, bar seating and high top tables around the perimeter. Table service was quite good but I think the cooks in the kitchen pulled the wrong order sequence as a table that came in after me received their meals before I did. No matter, my cheeseburger was tasty, cooked perfectly and fries were very crispy just as I had ordered. I would definitely return as the food coming out of the kitchen looked exceptional in every case.

Food is always been good the many times I’ve been there, I’d recommend the fish and chips. If you get to sit upstairs you are lucky to very unique experience

The place is really nice, the drinks are reasonable, food is delicious. Also, there’s an outdoor patio in the warmer months. The owners are always there, making sure things are running smoothly with good service

We started with the Asian chicken wings. They were very good. I had the old fashion burger with fries. The burger wasn’t anything special. Plain roll, topped with onions and tomatoes, no lettuce or pickles. The fries were tasty and flavorful.
My better half had breaded chicken with pasta Alfredo. Which she enjoyed.

Adore this place. Cozy, perfect bar for a drink anytime. Delicious Moscow mules & dirty martinis made by friendly bartenders. The lobster asparagus grilled pizza is out of this world. Tried the stuffed mushrooms as well as the calamari for appetizers, equally delicious. Recommend this place to everyone. The outdoor patio & firepits are a great addition.

I am quickly becoming a regular here, great food, great drinks and awesome service. I had the lobster roll here which was one of the best I’ve ever had. I also had nachos and their caprese salad. The salad was disappointing because the cheese was warm (like why?) so if they just make it come out actually cold it’d be a lot better. Other than that I have zero complaints. I’ll be back soon. Josh is our favorite bartender.

I just moved to Cumberland and have probably been to Woonsocket twice in my life so when one of my friends suggested going to Ciros Tavern I was a little hesitant. I was surprised to see what a great little local place this was. I like how they have the outside area during the summer. I would definately go back to try some other items on the menu because this time I only had a salad. I will say the staff were very friendly!

It’s a local gem! Some friends and I visited for lunch on the weekend, so it wasn’t busy, but I’ve also been here at night where it’s been super busy. I love the wide-​array of available brews on tap they have throughout the year! During this visit, I had a really good Augtober beer which was an end of summery Octoberfest sort of beer. Based on a friend’s tip, I had the steak sandwich. Hands down, this has got to be the best steak sandwich in the state. It’s a good size piece of steak cooked to your liking with cheese, onions, and other other toppings you prefer on it. I saw the outside eating area, and I will have to go back just to sit out on the patio to enjoy it.

Ciros is awesome especially when they just opened up the back patio. They have live music now so it makes it that much better. The whole staff is awesome and very friendly as well. The food here is great.

The honey bbq wings be deeelish as well as the mushroom burger.
Seems like lots of locals like to convene at this spot and relish the fact that they live in the Woon.
I was just passing through but I’m glad I came here to get mah food on.

This review would get another star but the our visit was when the place was packed. I guess it’s good for business but not necessarily for my experience.

We had great apps and a massive pizza. All great and the bartender was very helpful with draft beer selection. The place has a cool medieval vibe to it.
