I love this place! The owners Frank and Mark are awesome, always happy to help you choose a beer from their vast and interesting selection. The patrons are all warm and friendly, as well. BUT… Last time I showed up there was a sign on the door– CLOSED! There was no indication that it’s permanent, but it’s still closed two weeks later. If anyone has any information about this, please let me know! This is my go-to place every weekend!

Not much to look at from the outside, and fairly small inside, this joint that we went to because of Unilocal has an excellent draft beer selection but uninspired food in dainty portions. My two drafts were fresh even though we opened the place. I had Berkshire Golden Spike and Mad Alexander American ale, both quite good. It was interesting that they had no Newport Storm offerings at all, but so many of Berkshire’s. It is odd that the food does not align with the beer, as obviousy care is taken with the beer selection and delivery. The buffalo chicken sandwich was just a breast with Frank’s splashed on it. The steak and cheese, I make better at home using the shaved pub steak from Hannaford’s, and I serve it on a bigger roll. So it is a 4 as a beer bar, but the food dragged down the score.

I freakin love this bar! The owner Frank came right over to tell me about beers and let me try a few. Moreover, the have a ton of really good microbrews on tap for good prices. One of the best bars I have been to in RI.

Good time for a few beers. They close way too early during the week, but the bartender is nice and keeps the joint open until the place lcears out.

In regards to Beer Bars, Pitcher’s Pub is one of the best in the area. It is nothing impressive to look at, but their beer selection is second to none. Food is nothing special, but honestly, who goes to a beer bar for the food? Don’t miss it.

Pitcher’s Pub is awesome! They are dedicated to educating people with incredible brews — they switch them out EVERY week. This place offers an enormous variety of European beers and U.S. microbrews on tap. The bartenders are very knowledgeable, making it a great environment to go and discuss beers.(I agree with the other reviewer: they have an AMAZING selection of Belgian beers, which are some of the best beers in the world). For beer lovers, it’s a must!

Finest pub in the Blackstone Valley area. No fancy décor, just a low-key local joint to enjoy some bar food and a brew. Unbelievable beer selection, with a couple dozen on tap and probably the best selection of Belgians in Rhode Island.
