Food is gross, atmosphere needs a make over, and every person in this place is rude! You won’t see me back here!

This is a towny bar which is by no means a bad thing. Usually you’ll get a good drink and some good convo but the minute I walked in I smelled gas and got a little uncomfortable, I probably should have walked out but I convinced myself all these people couldn’t be here if it was a gas leak. I must have been imagining it, but the beers ok and the bartender seems like a pretty good guy. Just not my kind of place…

I’ve been here about 5 times, and each time was a little worse than the previous. I heard they got a different cook shortly after our first 2 times going there, and perhaps that’s why the last few experiences suffered. I haven’t been here in almost 2 years and I’m not coming back. Beyond the food quality degrading, one of the waitresses really turned me off the last time. Some dark haired, tattooed broad with a little attitude that decided to set her tip higher than she should have(we had a certificate that automatically pays them a 18% tip on the bill). When I questioned her about the random amount, she«corrected it». After looking over it again after she«corrected it», I noticed she gave herself 18% of the total bill, which included tax. You don’t tip on the amount of the tax, just on the subtotal! She knew what she was doing and should be fired.

Yeah… umm…no. They had home made chips which were good, the service was good, but the food… not good. My wife and I got roast beef sandwiches, which I kid you not looked like they were made from the leftover scraps of the prime rib. I literally could not find any actual meat. It was all fat, I could not believe they served that. My daughter got the chicken tenders and fries which were good. We ended up sharing hers.

We went last night even though we read the negative reviews. We liked our prime rib and fish and chip dinners. Even better were the appetizers. We had the home made garlic potato chips and and the soft pretzels with beer cheese sauce. They were both delicious, I wonder if that’s what my Dr. meant when he referred to «good carbs»

I don’t know what the previous reviewers are talking about. This place is sketchy. I went last night for dinner and my salmon was under-cooked. The waitress legitimately seemed like she was on something; she kept stalling out and repeating the specials. «There’s linguine with… feta…and…garlic…there’s linguine…» Whoa. The crowd seemed like all locals, with most of the people being around the bar. The bathroom was clean, I’ll give them that. Service was fast enough until the food was served. We waited half an hour, no exaggeration, for her to return after she brought us out entrees, though. It’s safe to say I will not be going back.

Was a big fan, but had a not so great dinner a couple weeks ago. First the volume in the place was overwhelming in the dining room. Food was not very good and the bar seemed to be out of some key ingredients. I guess it was an off night. I would recommend sitting at the bar. Its more fun and you don’t have to be around tables of children running around the dining room.

Best drinks in Rhode Island. If you order a martini or Manhattan you get a side car! Good spicy(free) soup! Sandwiches are very good. Clams and scallop special is enough food for 2 people

I’ve been here a few times and wouldn’t mind going back to try more items on the menu. The sandwiches are decent but not WOW worthy. The calamari would be amazing if they added more«sauce»(I’m not sure if it’s white wine or what but it is tasty). I saw another customer ordered the prime rib and it looked amazing. I wouldn’t suggest ordering the French onion soup it just wasn’t amazing, the free soup/bread bar is always delicious.

Call me a townie but I really like this place. Food is excellent and the portions are huge. The specials are always great and they have free soup and bread by the bar. For a small place they have a great selection of beers on tap(usually around 12 – 15) and they have more than your standard Bud and Bud Light. I recently ordered a Wachusett Blueberry(bonus they put blueberries in my glass) and my boyfriend was able to order a Brooklyn Ale. Service can be a bit slow but it’s appreciated that you aren’t rushed and your meal doesn’t arrive right as you’re eating the appetizer.

Great for locals at the bar. We’ve been a number of times and there were absolutely no problems. The soup cauldron is great. Big problem last time though. My wife ordered chicken parm and the chicken was rancid. We won’t go back now. I’m sure that it is probably a one shot deal, but now my wife is afraid to go back.
