This is not a review of the gallery but of them having an incorrect Unilocal listing. They aren’t open Monday’s. Which — you know — isn’t fun when you drove an hour to check out the art and it’s closed.

Surprised there hasn’t been a review since 2008. Almost thought they were closed. Thankfully they’re not. Is the entire gallery in a vault? No. Does the gallery have a vault? Yes. Inside that vault is very little but outside is a lot, including local, national and international pieces of ceramic, wood, home décor, Christmas décor and antiques. The antiques you’ll find in the very back of the gallery. Not the greatest or most valuable but definitely worth looking through. The true treasures are in the front where you’ll find Russian Matryoshka dolls, or nesting dolls. Also beautiful ceramic and wood pieces sculpted and carved by Ohio artists. It’s hard to describe everything so I included a lot of photos to give you a feel of their every evolving selection. Definitely worth a visit when i town.

Gallery in the Vault was one of the first upscale establishments to open in downtown Wooster since Buelah Bechtel’s closed, all those years ago. Gallery in the Vault is more than just an art gallery built into an old bank(and of course, vault) It’s a framing shop and place to buy the most unique, creative gifts I’ve ever seen. The atmosphere is top notch, and the sales staff is helpful and polite. My only suggestion is that they need to get a better(much much much better) website, but that’s really outside the scope of a Unilocal review. Five stars!
