One of our favorite places to eat. I’d say the food is more consistent than the service, altho the last couple times we were in, service was very good. Love the pizza, pretty good salads, good soup… good past. There’s something for everyone here, including vegetarians. We generally take some bread home. And love the brick with bright art. Fun place

I just adore this restaurant! The staff are so friendly and the food is absolutely amazing! I want to eat everything on the menu. Also the atmosphere is great for dinner or just relaxing after work. The drink choices are great as well. I highly recommend this restaurant for everyone! My goal is to try almost everything on the menu.

My favorite restaurant in Wayne county. Maybe my favorite anywhere! They seem to make all parts of their dishes in house. The bread is AMAZING! My favorite is the fish sandwich, I don’t like fish sandwiches anywhere else! Service has always been top notch. Great place for a quick lunch or a upscale date.

A Wooster staple. I’ve been to Broken Rocks a few times in the past couple years and I’ve always enjoyed the variety at this inviting café. My most recent visit I had the mussels, which were excellent, especially being in rural Ohio. The wait staff is always very attentive and keeps the fresh-baked bread coming as long as you want. Favorite part: squeezed-to-order lemonade from the bar

Over rated. Sadly though service friendly food was average! Disappointing after long drive and such high recommends…

This was my second visit to Broken Rocks and needles to say was not as good as the first. Went with another couple and we were all disappointed. Bread was cold and tasted stale. We ordered a bowl of the Black Bean and Tomato Garlic soup as starters. The Black Bean soup was below par and could not be finished. Tomato soup was luke warm. I ordered the Cajun Shrimp Pasta which came out swimming in sauce. It was more soup than a pasta dish. Two of us finished our dinners and the others were still eating. The waitress came to clear plates and asked if we wanted desert. We said no and she came back with the checks before two of our party were still eating. This was rude and felt like she was rushing us out. Was not the dining experience we were looking for. Unlikely I will go third time.

Have been there for several times for our office dining. The service is perfect, but I am not a big fan of the taste, which may because I am not a big fan of Italian style bread and dishes. However, I do think this is a good place to hang out with friends and family.

Broken Rocks Café is a definite must eat place in Wooster. With all of the delicious options, it was tough to decide on what to try at Broken Rocks. While checking in to St. Paul Hotel, though, someone was talking about the fish sandwich here, so I decided to give it a try. And I am so glad that I did! The fish is pan friend with their signature breading and is topped with a lemon-caper sauce, lettuce and cheddar. On the side are their JoJo potatoes, which have a great spice to them. Just typing this up, my mouth is watering! The waitress was friendly and the atmosphere was great. I can’t wait to go back!

Great selection of beers. Had very nice mussels and a glazed brisket with carrots for an entrée which were also tasty. Service was pretty good, though the waiter was clearly trying to rush us as he was near the end of his shift.

Nice trendy café with an inviting feel. A little loud when we walked in, but quieted a bit when we sat down as there were sectioned half walls. The menus(regular and specials) had a lot to choose from. It was really difficult to choose as there were several items I would like to try. I ended up selecting the Beet Salad and Chicken Marinara. The salad was simple, portioned well and tasty. Although the Chicken Marinara was very good and was a bit spicy. The waiter did warn that several entrees are a bit spicy as they use white pepper. For dessert I had the Tiramisu. The menu said it was traditional but I was a bit disappointed when the cream had pumpkin purée added. Not what I was expecting and just ok. I should have stuck with my first choice which was the Bread Pudding. All in all everyone in my party enjoyed the experience. We all decided we will come back.

Excellent food. Had the pizza which was tremendous(which for me, being a pizza critic, is quite good). The service was also good. My only complaint would be the beer on tap was only average. I’ll be back.

Some of the best bread in town is made here. Very awesome place. and worth every penny from service to the atmosphere. I cannot wait to go back and would love to see more drink and food specials when I do …

The atmosphere is nice and trendy, however we had not too good of an experience with our dinner. I met a date here for dinner and we took our time chatting before placing our main dish order. We both ordered the Salmon from the menu, but the waiter informed us they had ran out of the typical Salmon,(Not sure what«typical» meant) but they did have wild Salmon. So we ordered this other Salmon, but what we got served was nothing like a Salmon, but more like a whole trout grilled, bone and all… We were both very disappointed and being it was too late we decided to leave.

I have eaten here once before several years ago and it was fine. However, we ate here on July 24th, I had the grilled tuna salad, noticed that the boiled egg slices appeared to be drying out, as if the salad had been prepped much earlier and sitting out for several hours awaiting the grilled tuna and to be served. My gut told me to send it back and request a fresher salad. Unfortunately, I did not. This was the last and only thing I ate that night and awoke the next morning to severe food poisoning. I was violently ill for about 24 hours. To be fair, the others in my party had the brisket and pasta. Everyone else enjoyed their meal and was fine. I was not so lucky. This restaurant needs to serve FRESH salads, especially when eggs are involved. I will not be able to eat here again. I cannot recommend.

Was excited to try this restaurant. It is interesting thou that a business is only as good as its employees. Our waiter was hard to find and when I had to get up twice to ask for help he was in the back taking to fellow employees. I even cleared our dishes. I was really looking forward to the food from what I had read. The short ribs where amazing funny thing thou my husband kept running out of tea and I had to constantly ask for a waiter to get him a refill. My corn chowder was medium something I could have made at home but was good. Whenever I asked our waiter for service he always seemed inconvenienced. We had made a special trip to Wooster for a meal together so it was disappointing. The good thing is that there was a health store a few stores down and I got the best yummy and delicious treats for our ride home

I was looking forward to this place because I had heard good things about it. While the ambiance is nice and the service is pretty good and friendly, the food leaves something to be desired. I had the Romano salad and Cajun pasta. The salad was just okay, I mean, it’s pretty hard to mess up some romaine with dressing, it wasn’t anything is come back for. The pasta, however was touted as a Jerk Chicken Pasta, but I think it would be more aptly described as a previously frozen chicken watery bisque with some fettuccine noodles and bell peepers thrown in it. The freezer burnt taste of the chicken was so bad I couldn’t eat more than a couple pieces. They were also devoid of the«jerk» flavor that was promised. In fact, I would say there is nothing remotely«jerk» flavored about this dish except that it has a tiny bit of spice in the watery pasta sauce.

Enjoyed the jambalaya, which tasted fresh with a bit of spice. Andouille sausage, chicken, tomato based with a scoop of rice on top. The grilled salmon salad was good, & the Greek pizza was really great with olives, garlic, feta, and spinach. A good place to take your College of Wooster student while visiting there. Good atmosphere, fresh tasting foods, and a comfortable room.

We have been here several times. We love the food, the friendly staff(only once we had a hostess w/an attitude, but I haven’t seen her there again), the atmosphere… They have a little bar area that a few people can sit at, lots of tables… You can tell the owner cares about the quality/taste of food here. Once we had potstickers come to us undercooked, the owner was very apologetic, figured out that the cooks were using the wrong amount of water to steam them and gave us fresh new ones. We LOVE these potstickers!!! We have to get them every time we visit! The soups are always good, the Cajun chix pasta is amazing. The Brie appetizer platter is also a must!!! My daughter loves the jambalaya. We like most the sandwiches, I had the roast beef once that was a tad bland and I did not care for the potato salad, but other then that the fish sandwich is very good, the blt and grilled chix avocado sandwich is good. The coleslaw here is good. The Parmesan salad is ok, not a whole lot of flavor. The ice tea, lemonade & coffee are good. The only down side is that I live an hour away! I wish this place was in my town!

We were staying near Millersburg for the weekend, and decided to come up to Wooster for a fancy dinner. We’re really glad we came to Broken Rocks! Loved the fresh baked bread and olive oil/pesto dip. Such a simple thing, but very delicious. My fiancé got a pasta dish, which had a bit too much cream. I had the Italian sausage pizza, which was delicious. Always appreciate a place with a good beer and wine selection, since I’m liable to go for either, depending on my mood. They had a local beer on tap(JAFB) which I wasn’t familiar with, but decided to try. It was pretty good.

Here’s what I love about this place: * best place in Wooster to get a nice, relaxed lunch with… * …wine by the glass, craft beer on draft(had a Nosferatu for $ 4.25) and cocktails… *…which are hard to find in Wooster. I had their specialty Caipirinha(Brazilian cocktail made with Cachaca) * has various daily specials, perhaps too many??? I enjoy when there are only a few, not an entire page. Ordered the pot stickers for an appetizer. They were a little over-fried on one side but the flavor was fresh. Had the Wild Mushroom pasta(shitake and crimini mushrooms) for $ 12.25, which was a little steep for me concerning the amount and quality. Overall, a great place for unique cocktails, craft daft beer and a nice(yet slightly pricey) lunch in a warm, friendly environment.
