Wild Ginger China Bistro

This place needs a lot of work. Service is mediocre. Food awful. My egg roll had undercooked cabbage which made it difficult to eat. I waited a very long time to get my General Tso’s chicken and when it arrived it was nothing more than Sweet/​Sour chicken with some red pepper flakes tossed in. The chicken meat was prefab leading me to believe it is a frozen prepackaged product. Won’t be visiting again.

Completely shocked by the service… never been treated that terribly by a waitress before. Didn’t even get to try the food because we were not giving our money or wasting our time on this place. We informed our server that this was our first time here as we had some questions about the menu and she didn’t seem to want answer any of our questions. She came over to our table to get our drink order before we could open the menu, which is fine, so we asked where the drinks were located on the menu, followed by an apology that this was our first time there. She looked at us like we were idiots and told us it’s on the back of the lunch menu… ok, which is where? Then we had another question when we went to order our food and she again, looked at us like idiots and told us it’s on the menu instead of just answering the question. We ordered anyways and then canceled our order soon after, as we were worried they would spit in our food… we did not put it past our waitress because of the way she treated us. Way to ruin someone’s evening out… will never been returning.

When I went in the bathroom it smelled like pee and there was pee everywhere. The food used to be good in 2007 but in 2010 it started to get really bad.

Service is crap. Really slow. Only reason we come here is because it’s half off sushi on Tuesdays, you get what you pay for!

I don’t understand why the management is not aware of the poor reviews and still the food continues to be subpar. Perhaps they never check Unilocal.I have been there three times and was disappointed each time. I meet friends there for a meal so i don’t have much choice. The last visit I ordered vegetable tempura. The plate was large but they brought a ranch dressing sauce and a sweet sour side sauce. Never have I ever eaten tempura without a soy style dipping sauce. Ranch dressing with tempura? Ordered as entrée Singapore noodles with meat. It was ok but should have ordered vegetarian as the primary meat was ham. No pork and a few shrimp. There will be no next time.

I probably won’t be going there again. Been there twice. Both time I order the sashimi wasn’t that great. Got sick the second time. Ask for way too much $ for what they serve. We waited at least 30−40min for our food.

I actually really enjoy Wild Ginger. There’s one waitress in particular who is very rude, but all the others are great. Especially Jan, I always have a great experience when she is my server. Wild Ginger is fairly priced and has the best egg rolls and sushi in town. I come on Tuesday’s because sushi is half off after 5 pm.

My husband and I ate here last night. We won’t be back again. He ordered the Thai Basil — it was mediocre at best, but he woke up in the middle of the night with a blinding MSG headache. I had the Thai Noodles which were described as soft noodles with vegetables in peanut sauce. What I got was spaghetti with a trace of vegetables — maybe a thread of carrot? The peanut sauce was soupy, overwhelming and sour. Fool me once…

Service is always slow. We usually just gets a few apps and sushi. Mostly because the entrees are subpar. Sushi is ok but again until Osaka came in and Beuhlers started making it there was no where else to get sushi.

Came here for lunch after a morning of exploring the shops in downtown Wooster. Seems pretty reasonable. This is not exactly authentic Chinese food, or as good as what you would find at a good takeout place, but it was relatively tasty and cheap. Was also clean and the service was fairly fast and attentive.

I gave this place another chance! I want my money back. Y did I go here? I got take out. It’s all in the trash! Sooo bad! Also I have a picture of the raw fish just sitting out on top of the bar (not under the refrigerated glass), for the entire time I was there. Even the damn egg roll was horrible. I love sushi and Asian food. But this place is the jack n the box of a wanna be sushi restaurant. I rather blend up a feces milkshake and drink it, then ever eat here again. Way to disappoint, how is this place even open still?

Worst service I’ve ever experienced in my life. Not only were interrupted by the our server, we were only visited once to see how our meal was and that was when she brought us our check! Only the dirty plates were picked up until the end of the meal and then when commented about it she complained that «well I was busy». The food was subpar and we ended up going out to get more food to eat. When we asked about specials we were told there weren’t any but that was a lie, soon as you walk in the door there’s a little for the tolls you that their specials going on. super disappointed in and will never be coming back!

Meh, not gawd awful but not good enough to be average. I had the Kung Pow chicken and egg drop soup. I felt the sauce for the Kung pow was a bit on the bland side. The egg drop soup was nothing spectacular. I will probably not go back to this restaurant.
Some positive elements I took from the experience. The atmosphere and décor were impressive. The food did not wreck my stomach and I got to drive through a corn field to get here.
