Located on Main Street in Worcester is a perfect place to satisfy your soul food needs! When you walk in the sounds of motown fill the small but cozy restaurant. Tried the fried chicken, was not greasy cooked perfect. I chose for my sides mac and cheese, cheesy good, and collard greens, also good, with homemade cornbread yum! I got yellow rice instead of white, was the best that I’ve ever had! Tried the ribs, smothered in bbq sauce, fall off the bone, loved it. Had to finish the meal off with a slice of sweet potato pie, tasty! Staff was super nice too! This is the perfect place to warm you up on a cold day, will definitely go back!

I discovered Addie Lee’s completely by accident during the Winter of 2015. I’ve been addicted ever since! The food taste like it was made with love. And the warm family hospitality reminds you of the south, definitely not New England. Stop in or just pick-up something to go. It’s so worth the wait. I highly recommend Addie Lee’s!

Amazing food. Yesterday I came home from food shopping and could smell the food from this place and decided I would stop in today. I got pork ribs, yellow rice, collard greens, and Mac and cheese. It is a ton of good for $ 13. The place is small, family run. Everyone is very friendly and makes you feel welcome from the moment you step through the door. I didn’t wait long for my food and they showed me the plate before packing it up. I am so happy to have this gem next door to my apartment. After just a few bites I know I’ll be back to try each item on the menu

Great food all around. Need some home-cooked tastes with a family friendly atmosphere; this is your restaurant! Sweet Potato pie is the best!!!

I gave this place a chance after reading so many interesting reviews. I only have 2 words ITSUCKS. Don’t see why these people are in business trying to past off that garbage as SOULFOOD. First of all the collards were burnt, the blackeye peas over cook, and oh my fried chicken was so dry and hard I choked. Maybe this was just a bad day but for me NEVERAGAIN…

Don’t let the appearance of this place trick you into thinking it’s not good. The food is amazing! I had the catfish and fries, and my husband had the barbecue chicken with mac and cheese, and everything was delicious! Place is humble and simple, nothing fancy about it, but what it lacks in style and comfort it exceeds in taste! Worth trying!

Great portions for cheap $ Super tasty food Comfortable and bright/sunny dining room Cheerful staff No frills, no pretension, just good food/service I had the ribs for lunch instead of waiting in line at the DMV. Wow. So good. And much better than the DMV. lol

A friend and I were looking to check out a place which neither of us had been to, which is becoming increasingly difficult, however, I recalled another friend had mentioned how good this place was when we were at skymark(which is across the street). The value is very high with the meals being $ 7, $ 10, and $ 13 for meat + rice, meat + rice + 1 side, and meat + rice + 2 sides respectively. On this particular day both of us opted to have the fried chicken which was superb. I had the mac ‘n’ cheese and potato salad as well as white rice. My friend had mac ‘n’ cheese and collard greens along with yellow rice. I think I would go with the yellow rice in the future. The mac ‘n’ cheese as well as potato salad were both excellent. The meal also came with cornbread which was great. The menu seems to be friend chicken or ribs as well as a special. I will certainly be returning to try the ribs. We had their lemonade to drink and the banana pudding for dessert which as you can imagine from the quality so far were also perfection. It’s worth mentioning that they’re closed Sunday and Monday.

Love Addie Lee’s :) First time trying soul food! We really enjoyed our lunch here. It’s a quaint little place with friendly staff. The fried chicken was DELICiOUS. The mac and cheese was very yummy as well! Everything was so good and I can’t wait to go back!

The food here is delicious and the ribs here are legit. Very moist & tender and came right off the bone. A medium meal(main dish + side + rice) is more than enough for even the hungriest patron. Pro tip: opt for the yellow rice. The fried chicken is nice and crispy with not too much spices. Have it with some hot sauce and you’re golden. Each meal comes with a piece of corn bread, too. The yams(sweet potatoes) are super sweet with cinnamon spices. Almost tastes like homemade apple pie. The mac and cheese is always a safe option for those unsure of what to get. Parking in the area is gunna be tough. No bike racks nearby, either. These guys just opened up last fall. It wasn’t super busy when we were there, but I hope that changes soon. Wish them all the best!

Really enjoyed Addie ‘s soul food. This was as good as what we had in Charleston, South Carolina. No wait, Addie Lees’s bbq chicken breast was better! Large all white meat and tender. Collard greens and black eyed peas were yummy. Can’t wait to try it again

This is a place I’m surprised isn’t more busy. The food is actually pretty darn good. I’ve tried a bit of «soul food» and I think they do a decent job of providing that for an area not at all known for such fare. I usually go for one of the specials(Small with meat and rice $ 6, Medium with meat a side and rice $ 10, Large with meat two sides and rice $ 13) I’m a serious fried chicken wing fan. The breading and seasoning is nice. Not greasy or dry, right on. I’ve had the breast and it was juicy, but not seasoned quite as nicely. Collard greens and Mac and cheese are pretty good. The white rice is sooo good. Nothing is overly greasy, a departure from traditional soul food but a good thing in my opinion. Again, I’m surprised it’s not busier here because the food is pretty good.

Amazing food! Everything was delicious and at a good price. Portions are large and come with a side(get the mac and cheese). Would definitely go again if I was in the area.

Excellent food, great portions. The medium plate, which includes a type of meat, rice, a side, and cornbread is always enough for me… at a good price of $ 10.

We just happened to stumble across this place as we were seeing a show at the Hanover Theater which is across the street, down the block. What a find! The family who owns this newly opened shop(they told me it had opened just a couple of weeks ago) couldn’t have been nicer. The menu is somewhat limited(in a good way). Chicken(fried, baked, bbq) and Ribs with a variety of sides(collard greens, mac and cheese, rice, cornbread) and desserts(sweet potato pie, peach cobbler and banana pudding). When you order chicken, you also can choose whether you want a breast, wings, thigh, drumstick. You can get your plate small, medium or large with each larger size having more sides. Three of us ate here for about $ 28 and that included sodas, 1 small and 2 medium plates. The fried chicken was perfect. Incredibly well seasoned batter and crisp but not greasy. The mac and cheese was great, not all velveeta but from scratch good stuff. Cornbread moist without being heavy or greasy. We weren’t going to have dessert but we were interested(all homemade) and the woman who cooks/bakes brought us a piece to try and we were sold. I went back to the counter and bought an entire pie as well as a piece of the cobbler and banana pudding, all to take home. The meals are served in take out containers, even if you’re eating there so it’s not fancy but there were at least 9 two top tables so space to sit and eat if you like. Go here immediately… you won’t regret it!
