I’ve had a few misses and hits with this restaurant. The owners and the workers work very hard to make sure customer satisfaction is at its high. Definitely go here for bun bo hue!!!

Ahh… If I wanted to eat msg I will go eat at Chinese restaurant. After I eating anything here I need to drink 10 glasses of waters. I almost went into a comma after eating their soup. Please stop putting too much msg in your soup. I will stick with Hien Vuong if I wanted to eat Phở.

If this is the same owner of Anh Thu2, I’d suggest concentrate on one. This place is a tat better in food but the service is no different. Slow like molasses. If you have time to wait, this is the place for you.

They changed this restaurant into a sandwich shop! The sandwiches are so delicious and fresh. I don’t ever have to drive up to Dorchester for banh mi anymore. The bread is great, while the meat and veggies are greatly portioned as well. The lady that works/own the place is so sweet and so kind. I’m just so ecstatic that it’s a sandwich shop now and I can definitely just come during lunch for a quick bite. The sandwiches are about $ 4 each.

Sorta hard to find. You would drive right by this place normally. Set back from the road in a run down building. The inside is a little dingy(the bathroom sink was overflowing) and seems a little dirty but the food was good. I ordered the shrimp and pork fresh rolls and the grilled shrimp vermicelli bowl. The pork in the rolls was dry and the shrimp in the bowl were small and not deveined. The flavor of both was good but not outstanding enough to make me come back. Kinda scared of the cleanliness of their kitchen to be honest.

Best phở in Worcester! They have recently opened a second resturaunt in Webster square across from dental dreams! It is a lot more appealing place to eat! I love this place!

I ordered the phở tai(beef noodle soup) at Anh Thu 2 for takeout and the service was great. Quick. The girls there were so nice. I was pleasantly surprised when I assembled the soup together because the meat portion was more than generous. Unlike the Vietnamese place down the street which gives you 3 pathetic slices of meat. Will be coming here again!

The place is a little run down and looks a random building on the side of the street but the food inside is delicious. Well, at least what we had! We ordered the spring rolls that had boiled pork and shrimp with noodles and basil. It came in 4 and a dipping sauce on the side. I ordered phở #27 and someone else ordered #26, the larger portion of the same dish. The broth was delicious — not too salty and a bit of sweet. The noodles were the best I’ve ever tasted consistency wise — just enough chew and not soggy. A friend ordered the grilled pork bun which is noodles, pork and peanuts on top of salad leaves. There is a sweet and sour sauce to go with that. Quite delicious and filling for the price you pay!

I don’t know how I felt about it. I had some kind of Phở(I don’t remember which kind). I’ve never had phở before so I wasn’t really sure how the quality was, but I felt it was rather bland and unsatisfying. The service was a little slow but the staff was friendly and the prices were good. I’m definitely more partial to another restaurant down the street. I would give it another try, but I would be hesitant.

I would probably give this place a 4.5, but I’m bumping it up to 5 solely because the food is soo good. If you’re looking for atmosphere, this is not the place to go as the outside looks kinda shabby, but generally that means the food is going to be good. The inside is pretty neat and clean. Now onto the food! I love phở and Vietnamese food in general, and at Anh Thu the phở is fresh, homemade, and the portion is generous. Usually my family and I get the one with all the fixings. The broth is really good and they give a lot of meat. Also, the bean sprouts and basil are very fresh, and I really love just eating raw bean sprouts. I also occasionally get the rice dish with pork chop(#51), and the vinegar sauce is really good. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good rice plate. And I recommend the dish that comes with seven different toppings if you’re looking to try something new, also a rice plate. Tonight I just tried the vermicelli with pork(#42 I think?), and all the ingredients were fresh and tasty. Normally I don’t like carrots, but I think the carrots they put in the bowl had been marinated in a vinegar sauce and they were so good I ate them haha. My mom finished her bowl of vermicelli, as well as the rest of the veggies in my bowl. All in all, probably one of the best, if not the best, Vietnamese place I’ve eaten at. Haven’t had any of the smoothies or many of the appetizers, so I’d refer to a different review :)

This was my first time trying this place and it was great! We wanted to switch up from Phở Dakao down the street. Glad we did. I mean the ambience is your typical Asian family owned restaurant but it’s also where you find the best food. I ordered the Bun Rieu and it was just as I expected-delicious! And a lot for the price! My guy got the short rib rice dish and he likes it a lot! Thought it was a big greasy but no big deal. We went around 11am on a Monday so it wasn’t busy and service was quick! Overall, great food, service, price and authentic! Recommend it!

This is my go to spot for phở in Wooster! It is the closest I can get to being back home in Cali! I usually get the bun bo hue or #38 because it is really delicious, a touch of spicy, and full of meat. For those who are still new with Vietnamese food should be weary since it can be an aquired taste. There are some stuff that may be a turn off for you. Those who knows what and how to eat bun bo hue though, should definitely try it! All my friends love the eggrolls! It’s always a must for them here. Spring rolls are pretty good too, but it is wrapped in rice paper and not fried so don’t get those confused! Com tam suong is good and a good portion size but not comparable to home though. Overall great viet food for wooster. Authentic home made food. Wish they would get another server though since it can get packed there and things tend to get forgotten like our waters and etc. Anyways, when people ask for recommendations for Viet food in Wooster, this is where I recommend people to go to!

Just a small place, nothing fancy but I Got the Phở soup today as a take out order. Really good. I have not had anything else from the menu but if you are looking for good Phở, this is a decent spot.

OMG. The phở here is just… just. really, really, really good. Probably the best in the area. Now that I’ve moved out into the sticks it’s really hard for me to get some phở whenever I’m in the mood for it(which is all the time). My boyfriend and I usually pick some phở place off Unilocal in Worcester and then drive there to try it out. So far we have never gone back to the same place twice… UNTILNOW. Now phở is like pizza to me… sometimes it’s not the best but I wouldn’t ever say I’ve had bad phở or bad pizza. But what makes the phở at Anh Thu really good is there are different flavors within the broth that most phở places don’t bother to develop. You can tell that a lot of places just use MSG to flavor their soup but there are some real complex flavors going on at Anh Thu. I normally never order the phở ga(chicken) but I got it that day because I was super sick… it came with wontons and shrimp and dare I say it was even better than the beef phở that my boyfriend ordered. The spring rolls were rolled fresh for us(we requested no pork) and were amazing. We even got overambitious and ordered a pad thai that we weren’t able to finish but boxed up for later. That was also good. Not like Brown Sugar good but hey, it’s not supposed to be a Thai restaurant. We shared a jackfruit smoothie which was refreshing and made fresh as well.(You could taste the pulp in the juice as you drank it.) The ONLY reason I am giving 4 stars and not 5 is because I found a long black hair in my soup after I started eating it. Now to be fair, I am also Asian with long black hair so I can’t say for sure it wasn’t mine. But the two waitresses who served us also had long black hair. But honestly I liked my food so much that I preferred to think it wasn’t mine just so I could justify coming back. So let’s just say it wasn’t mine. Oh AND I’m not sure if someone was pregnant or not feeling well but the first 15 minutes of us sitting in the quiet restaurant was spent listening to some woman projectile vomit in the back. How could I tell she was projectile vomiting? Because it sounded SOVIOLENT. I mean there’s throwing up, vomiting, and then just straight up puking with a vengeance and that’s what we were listening to. I felt bad for her but I also felt glad I wasn’t one of those people with a sensitive stomach cause that sound definitely didn’t get me in the mood to eat stuff. Anyway, COMEHERE, you won’t regret it, and hopefully you won’t have to deal with militant vomiting and questionable hair in your soup.(But if you do, the food is so good it’ll be worth it. Maybe.)

Four stars because nothing beats homemade authentic Vietnamese food(I cant help but be a little bias!). On that note, Anh Thu is my go-to place for Viet food. I have gone to pretty much every other Vietnamese restaurants in Worcester, but Anh Thu has always been consistently fresh and delicious – yum-o! The phở broth is full of favors, instead of just full of grease or what most place put in, msg. Good portions, as well as a reasonable price tag. The egg rolls and spring rolls are also very good. The 7 color s rice dish however, lacks in good favors(though the short ribs is an exception). Overall, the majority of the dishes are lovely, unlike Dakao where it lacks in putting out the complex favors that goes into Vietnamese food. So dont be fool like the decors!

What a happy accident! Headed back to western mass from north of Boston one evening, we spontaneously decided to stop in Worcester for dinner. I had a phở craving and did a quick Y-search for a Vietnamese restaurant and navigated us there. However, we didn’t see our destination until we had already driven past it, so we pulled into a nearby parking lot to turn around. That parking lot happened to belong to another Vietnamese restaurant, Anh Thu, and it looked like it was hopping… and since we were already in a parking spot, we decided to give it a try. So glad we did! It was un-fancy and crowded with a fair number of Vietnamese diners and others awaiting take out. I took this as a good sign. We looked over the menu during our short wait for a table, and watched a single young woman take care of the entire dining room by herself, all while handling a steady stream of take-out orders… and if that wasn’t enough, she also had several blenders of freshly-made fruit shakes going at once. She never stopped moving. The phở was really, really good. Unfortunately, they were out of tendon as well as jack fruit(for shakes). I was tempted to get the creamy avocado shake after watching her make several of them, but ultimately played it safe with coconut. I love avocado, but… couldn’t quite imagine it in drink form? Anyhow, we’ll definitely be going back. Very close to five stars for me.

I’ve been eating here for years and years. Depending on the server, the day can go successfully or it’ll be a trainwreck. I personally liked one of the waitresses, I don’t know her name but she is a fast worker and makes sure that everything’s in top shape until the food gets to the table. However, once everything’s all set, it’s really hard to get their attention after that, despite it being very quiet and with only two tables around. So you would have to get up and walk to the counter to speak with them. The other waitresses always seemed to forget the tea… or to refill my friend’s cup of water. l: So you might just get a bit thirsty. I really believe that they should serve water/tea regardless(once customers are seated) because anyone would expect that in every viet restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing! I ordered com suong nuong(pork chops) and the dish appeared stunning and juicy. It tasted great as well. I order this a couple times and it was always delicious. Now. for the drinks, it seemed like they always ran out of boba. even during the middle of the day! Which I didn’t understand. But it’s fine I still order the drink without it. The other foods are just as good, such as the beef with mixed vegetables with a side of rice. I love the sauce, it’s very different then what my mom cooks at home, but it’s VERY tasty and wonderful :) Oh and the Phở is also very GREAT. The atmosphere seems very claustrophobic and narrow. The space is small but it’s really uncomfortable especially with the mirrors all around. I can see other customers just glaring at me just from looking in the mirror. It’s distracting.

I was surprised to find decent phở in Worcester of all places. Coming from the SF Bay Area, I’ve come to know good phở, and this is pretty good! I always get rare steak and brisket, and theirs was delicious. I’ve tried their fresh spring rolls which was also very good.(I don’t recommend the fresh vegetarian rolls– — not sure if it was the tofu or basil, but it had odd taste to it compared to the rolls with shrimp and pork). This is not a place you go to for a fancy dinner– — it’s a hole in the wall, family run, restaurant, which I love! The service is decent and the price can’t be beat.

Walked in to Asian clientele… always a good sign. Were promptly served with hot tea. Fresh rolls were loaded with the good stuff. Phở broth was reasonably rich. My only complaint is that I got the chicken and veggies and the veggies were slim and lacking in variety. It’s really 3.5 stars… but I’m giving it the bump.
