Hidden gem… Great service, food, staff and drinks. This place is clean and well run. The manager will always say hello. All walks of life. Great bar all around.

Back about 2 years ago the people I was friends with would want to go out to «clubs»(I use quotations because perfect game is not much of a club) and I was on a quest to find chill, lounge style venues so that their want of public alcohol consumption could be reconciled with my want to not go to sketchy places with Worcester guys. This was before I used Unilocal for reviewing, but I used Unilocal to compose a list of places to check out, finally after years I went to Beatnik’s last Friday. And as the five stars above this may have given away I loved it, I don’t really hang out with that group but I wish I had convinced them to go. It is(as I hoped) a super chill joint with a decent selection of foods and drinks. It’s just everything you could want in a low key venue, I recommend it highly.

I love this place! A quirky little place with a full kitchen and bar. The menu is fairly straight forward and often features weekly specials. The prices are reasonable(for food and drink) and the staff is super, super-friendly. There isn’t’ a ton of seating if you don’t want to sit at the bar. There’s always live music. Unfortunately, if the band is charging a cover, all patrons must pay upon entry whether you’re there for the music or not. Even so, this place is definitely worth checking out.

You can be yourself here. Friendly people, places and things. Mozz sticks good. Watch out for old drunk men. I like that.

One of the coolest bars with live music in Worcester. Good food(homemade chili on a cold Wormtown evening is pretty awesome) great drinks and a very charming owner/operator. Lots of parking too.

Great place! Owner is rad. Perfect place to over 30 and still hip and engaged in the music scene in Woostah

It’s nice that Worcester has a bar showcasing local bands. It was very chill in the«stand around and drink because the music is too loud to hold a conversation» way. Cover charge for the music; not sure if it was totally worth it.

I came here for a night out with my dad while I was in town. This place is artsy, funky, and offbeat. The service is good, the bartenders friendly. I came on a night that they had a live band and it had a great atmosphere! Having been a Bostonian for about a decade now, it feels like a place in the city rather than Worcester. A rare gem! I would highly recommend it :) P. S. Order the sliders. They are delicious!

Visiting from out of town and heard about Beatnik’s being great for live, local music. It was and it is. Plus, major bonus is the place has really good food, too. Chris behind the bar is a great guy and mixes up crazy different drinks. Friendly vibe all around. I almost don’t want to post about it as the place is kind of off the radar and cool because of that.

If you do your drinking on weeknights, this bar is perfect. THe prices are reasonable, the owners are fantastic people, and the kitchen serves some of the best bar food you’ve ever had. They have ample seating at the bar, booths, and tables. Their bathrooms are surprisingly clean for a bar, and are covered in chalkboards so you can leave messages and drawings. It seems like a quirky feature, but it is a nice touch. If you are coming in on a weekend, however, you find yourself facing cover charges for whatever bands are playing to a much larger crowd. It is nice that they showcase local artists, but it would be preferable if the cover charge could be limited to the side room where the bands perform. This room does have a separate bar, so it would be a nice way to accomodate both the music crowd and the drinking crowd.

Drinks are strong. Beer is good, and cheap-ish. Bartenders are friendly.

We went here for New Year’s Eve and had a blast. The place is funky/retro, with creative drinks(my fav-the root beer float) and good live music. The owners run the bar and are so friendly and accommodating. The bathrooms are pretty clean and the best part about them-the walls are chalkboards! The space is good too. There’s a bar area and then a separate room right next to it for the music+dancing. Very open with lots of options for standing, sitting at the bar, or dancin to the music. Can’t wait to go back here.

New bar/venue on park ave near Clark. Nikki the owner is a total sweetheart. There is always live entertainment(bands, comedy, open mic) and drinks are reasonably priced. The inside is a little dark, but nice and clean. Booths on the side to sit and talk privately. The one time I went in, the crowd seemed to be more of a 30’s single scene rather than the college age.
