Boomers Pizza Sub & Deli

Where do I begin…
This is a small place great for salads, pizza, and calzones. The problem is that they take FOREVER! We’ve ordered an hour in advance either by phone or the website but it doesn’t matter. We’ve even called to check to see if our order is ready and they’ve said yes, only for us to show up and you guessed it… our order wasn’t ready! On another occasion we’ve had our food delivered… took an hour and 40 minutes… and they forgot to include a burger and an appetizer which I had already paid for. So I had to wait another 30 minutes for them to bring that…
Bottom line is this place is on the way home for me from work so I repeatedly get it in spite of their inconsistent service. Its alright food but stay clear if you can.

Boomers is the best food for the money I have every experienced. When I first ate at Boomers I only got their calzones (if you like meet get the texan) but have since tried a variety of their foods. Highlights are the Rockin Moroccan Wrap, Gyro, and their Burger. Honestly you get so much great food always under $ 10. Plus discounts for local students who pay with cash.

I love this place! The sandwiches are huge and served on a half loaf of bread and always fresh. We just tried the pizza last night and it was great. I’m not normally a fan of Greek style pizza, however this was really tasty an unique — spinach, caramelized onion, feta cheese and no red sauce. The salads are always fresh and delicious — no woody tomatoes or wilted lettuce ever. It’s not fancy — order in advance and take it to go. (The employees are always friendly too). Try the Italian Stallion or the Turkey and Bacon sub — amazing.

BBQ King Calzone is awesome. All of their calzones and sandwiches are HUGE and loaded and delicious. I have had the tuna which is huge, enough for two meals. I ordered the mushroom swiss burger with side of fries the other day, 10 bucks bug huge burger and curly fries were decent. Have also had the italian stallion, remember it being huge just like every other thing. Chicken fingers are huge and tender and fresh. The guys on phone are always nice and helpful. Delivery is decent and friendly. It’s one of our regular places.

One of the best sub shops in the area. They have a great variety of subs, pizza, salads, and pasta dishes. We’ve had the Super Italian Stallion; which is an Italian sub on steroids served on half a loaf of Italian bread, the Chicken Happens is another great choice and has grilled chicken, hummus, veggies wrapped in pita, the Turkey and Bacon Club is very good and also served on half a loaf of Italian bread, the Chicken Caesar Wrap was great and we’ve also tried the Hampshire Calzone which is filled with artichokes, broccoli, eggplant, garlic, roasted peppers and mozzarella. The prices are resonable at about $ 7.50 for the calzones and around $ 8 for the sandwiches.
This place is a little bit hidden on Highland Street but has several parking spots in front and worth finding.

I order from here on a regular basis and usually everything is great. But the last three times I have ordered there have been issues.
The first time the driver forgot the drinks, which happens, but when he said he would be back with them, I had to call, after waiting an hour, to find out what happened. And the woman who answered was extremely rude when i inquired where the drinks i had paid for were. Telling me «they will be there» before hanging up on me.
The second time I had ordered a sub, small pie, and a brownie. I didn’t realize until I got to work about an hour later, that I had the wrong sub and no brownie. The most recent time the small pizza I ordered was completely overcooked. As well as it took well over an hour (I ordered about 2:45 when I normally order) and the food was cold. I don’t mean room temp, I mean it was as if I had taken it out of my fridge. I’m gonna be staying away for a while.

We ordered delivery for a large group. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. If you are getting ‘wraps’, just be aware they come in pita bread unless otherwise specified. It was all good food, just need lots of napkins! Delivery was on time, and I had no issues. They even gave us something for free!

Wow ordered 3yrs from here and served me the worst sloppy mess tonight i have ever witnessed from here. What is going on. It was light pink with like 20different chesses all blended together lookn and smelling like VOMIT. ALL I ASKED FOR WAS BAKED ZITI WITH SAUCE AND MELTED CHEESE ON TOP. MY DOG WOULDNT EAT THIS. COME ON GUYS. WAITED 50MIN FOR THIS!

This place is so much better then I thought it was going to be. The pizza is OK (it’s no Boynton) but the subs are the best! My boyfriend has been trying to get me to order out here for years and I always thought it looked so creepy… don’t judge a book by its cover, this place is great! Fast delivery too!

Back when I was single, living on Highland St., and eating once a day, I would eat here every single day. Their entire menu is fantastic and the big guy who seemed to own the place was wicked friendly. I highly recommend the Rockin’ Moroccan, the pasta with vodka sauce, and any one their specialty pizzas. Never had a bad experience.

Boomer’s is a classic college deli. There is a huge menu running from pizza to falafel and pretty much everything is under $ 10 (except for some of the pizzas). It’s a good place to come when you don’t feel like cooking and want a crazy amount of food while spending very little money.
I’ve only ever ordered one thing here; the Moroccan sandwich. Herby marinated chicken, fries, romaine, and a ton of garlic sauce all wrapped up in a good pita. The combo is surprisingly good and will only set you back $ 7. My number one complaint with pita wraps is that they end up too dry, which is not an issue here. The fries add a nice crunch which you usually don’t get in a kabob wrap in my experience. This wrap is big enough to share with someone as well.

The bamm bamm wrap and the Rockin Moroccan are both amazing. I can’t get myself to order anything else.

As a visitor of Worcester, MA I was looking for a «town-gem”-like restaurant in the city. Luckily, I found this place and was very pleased. I ordered the Super italian Stallion with jalapenos and it was very very delicious! Since I am a fan of spicy food, I also liked the «kick» of heat the peppers gave. The sandwich was actually A LOT bigger and more filling than I expected (I expected something like a 6-​inch Subway sandwich) but I was wrong! The half loaf italian bread is big and filled with the meat and vegetables — thus for leftovers. Thus, for about $ 7 I was able to have lunch and food for a later time.
What I really liked was the online website. I was able to log-​in using my Facebook ID — thus I did not have to create an alternate account just to place an order online. (They also respected Facebook privacy which I appreciated.) Ordering online was very simple and quick and the website is clear and not confusing. I liked having the option to pick-​up my food or have it delivered. (Because I was new in town and the weather was nice, I decided to walk there to pick it up so I can explore the city.) I also really liked how they give you the option to track your order if it’s being delivered. If you chose to pick up your order, you are given an estimated time of availability.
I definitely recommend this place for someone who is craving a hearty and filling sub sandwich!

I ordered boomer burger with french fries to go. The fries is good, but the meat in the burger is not good. It tastes funny so I didn’t eat it.

A very conveniently located (it’s next to the laundromat on highland street, the laundromat next to Boomer’s) near school (MCPHS).
Their delivery is fast and they offer both daily specials and a discount for MCPHS (sometimes billed as mass college of farmacy) students.
Their food has always been fairly standard with my personal favourite being their sausage pasta.

Decided to try a new restaurant with my boyfriend a few weeks ago and we stumbled upon this place after reading the reviews on Unilocal.We looked at the menu online and tried to decide what we wanted to eat before we entered — but that was impossible. There’s so many delicious looking items on the menu and the prices were so inexpensive! I got a chicken tender platter with a bottle of soda and he got a buffalo chicken wrap (messy)! The staff was friendly and genuinely concerned that the order was correct and the food was served as desired! Not to mention that the food was to die for! We will definitely be coming back here!

Great food and good atmosphere. Had a reuben and a salad and it was all very good. Huge menu and lots of options. Curly fries are good too.

Love their pizza & Italian Sub. Delivery can be a bit of a wait on Friday/​Saturday like most pizza places but certainly worth it.

I love Boomers! They have the best sandwiches. I love their rockin’ moroccan sandwich. The pizza is pretty good too. It is definitely my go to place when I’m in Worcester!
The place is always clean and the staff is very friendly and quick.

Don’t take order from the new cashier! She took ten minutes to finish my simple order that leads a delay of our lunch and we have no time to eat the food chunk before 1pm’s class!
Furthermore, their grill is very good but we had no choice except carry these delicious to the classroom and can’t eat them !!!
For all you guys who want to rush the meal, order online and eat there! Saves you a lot of chance to getting late!
