Can be pricey but worth it. Staff is always friendly and steaks are just as good (if not better) than you would find at a high priced steakhouse.

I have stopped in for thanksgiving, Christmas and for just small orders. The staff is always on top of things, always smiling and most of all the place is clean. If you are looking for quality meats I suggest you stop in.

Yes. indeed I am a ranting, raving and screaming fan of Emerald Meats. I actually stopped in here completely by chance on my way home from the grocery store and had forgotten to get cold cuts. I was more than pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a place in Tatanuck. Haven’t experienced many other butcher shops sadly but this has made me regret that I hadn’t. It goes without saying the staff here is incredible… super friendly, informative, helpful, knowledgeable and the greatest part? Most of them are so young and it makes my little heart swell to see kids working so hard and so professionally. Score 1 point for humans. The owner of this place must be the kindest person ever, if you get the pleasure of speaking with him you’ll see why this place is so popular, its got a solid foundation!
Had a super bowl get together an ordered up a platter and wings last min. They had it all ready earlier than quoted and with everything I needed with a smile. Even after I called them a hundred times during such a busy day for them. Just outstanding. Deli meats are all boars head. All kinds of items available to take home and bake/​fry/​grill up and great house seasonings! Try the garlic herb spread — MMMMM! This place has a traditional irish background so you will see some imported condiments and items on the shelves.- including the butter from Ireland… If you haven’t had it you don’t know what you are missing.
If I ever move from this area I’ll miss Emerald meats more than anything!!!

I would highly recommend this meat market to anyone who visits Worcester or lives here. The staff is always 100% professional and they dress the part two. All of them wear shirts and ties, which is hard to come by these days. Everything I have gotten from there, including sausages steaks chicken is very fresh and delicious.

THE BEST! This is your local, family-​run Butcher Shop, and the owners sell Premium Quality, Fresh Meats here. Believe me, the difference is noticeable. I would never buy any meat from supermarkets again.
The Owners are also super friendly and helpful, along with all of their other employees. The place is run like a tight-​ship, very well disciplined (just as it should be in the good ol’ days when Americans were disciplined workers), and I want to very much congratulate the owner for keeping this Tradition alive, which is inherit of the hard-​working nature and family-​oriented nature in the Irish Spirit and ways.
The owners go above and beyond to try to accommodate what you like, even if you need things marinated by letting them know ahead of time.
Institutions like these are what made America great many years ago, and they are very few and far between these days, because the people who ran these kind of businesses have pride and love in what they do and who they serve.

I love Emerald Meats! Besides having the best meats around, their customer service is second to none! I leave there with a smile on my face every time — because, truth is, you just don’t get good customer service anywhere anymore! They go above and beyond! The shop Is also very clean! Best butcher shop in Worcester! The workers are friendly and extremely helpful. We love the meat quality (especially the filet) and the killer pepper rub they have there!

Emerald Meats is the best there is! Owners, Robert and Joan are great and I have never dealt with more polite young men that they have as employees!

The Best! The Cuthbert family aims to please and it shows. Old fashioned manners and service to your car. Wonderful cuts of meat and they will accommodate special orders.

Fantastic service, and I mean like it’s 1946 full service with uniforms 1946, back in the day when clerks called you sir, people actually wanted to wait on you, and maybe they even carried your groceries to your car.
All of which is commonplace here. The quality of the meat is stellar too, there is no reason to go to a grocery store and get sub prime quality, this place is first rate.

Great selection. Always helpful staff. You can never go wrong with Emerald’s!!! If you are looking for custom cuts or mixes they are always happy to assist and make recommendations. If your in a hurry the meatloaf mix and tips are great.

What a cutie pie little meat shop. It’s clean and neat. There is plenty of parking and the owner has the brogue. I bought fresh lamb for my family’s pre Easter dinner. Fair prices and small family owner business will bring me back. Plus, they sell Irish food items… score!

The customer service here is amazing, and if I were rating this place on that alone it would be 5 stars. But the quality and variety of the meat they sell isn’t impressive for the price. I mean, it’s basically the same selection as you’d find in Stop and Shop.
I’d really like it if they worked out something with like, John Crow Farm or somewhere similar, and offered a delivery point for the CSA or just sold more specialty /​organic meat products. But… I still go in at least every other week because in the end, the service is just amazing and I do like supporting a local business.

I always have a great experience here. I do tons of cookouts and grilling in the summer time and this is the only stop. Steak, dogs, burgers, chicken, and kabobs are all fantastic. My personal favorite are the marinated steak tips, I have yet to fond anyone better. The owner is a wicked nice guy and has been a butcher his whole life, he used to work at Hadwen park market.

I’m usually not picky about what I eat, but I make an exception for cold cuts. I’m a Boar’s Head fan, and the lack thereof in Worcester was gastronomically depressing. Then I found Emerald Meats. Cold cuts aside, this is one of the finest butcher shops in Worcester. The staff is beyond friendly, courteous, and helpful. Their meats are top quality, and their kabobs are out of this world. They also have a nice selection of stock imported from Ireland and the UK. Parking and hours are convenient. All in all, it’s a great place to shop.
