King Chef Chinese Restaurant

The lady on the phone rude!!! She talked down to me and then afterwards told me to hold up and instead of coming back to the call she had the audacity to hang up on me never ever ordering from here again.

Placed a large order for delivery. Attempted to call the restaurant after placing the order online, to confirm, as well as pay with credit card. The woman who eventually got to the phone was exceptionally rude, nasty and obnoxious. Her response to my inquiry towards paying with a credit card was «Oh my God… We\re busy!!!»
I told her I would pay cash, simply because I had no intention of dealing with their bullshit. I am simply going to get my food, as well as make my life‘s mission to make sure these people go out of business.
Steer clear…

I was so disappointed when my food finally arrived! I got 3 very simple items: chicken fingers, pork strips, and vegetable fried rice. I asked for extra duck sauce as well. It’s not on the menu the pork strips are in some sort of gravy (I couldn’t eat it); the rice was terrible— maybe it was leftover from the week before, but one bite was all I could do. The chicken fingers were drenched in uncooked batter and grease.
The «duck» sauce was in little plastic packets and was a orange-​yellow see-​thru color. Goodness knows what it was made of. I spent over $ 22 for food and they tacked on another $ 4.00 for the delivery (surprise!)… and the driver got lost. He was good-​natured and apologetic about the wait since he got lost, but unfortunately, the food was so bad I won’t be a repeat customer.

Delivers for my salon even though we are on the other side of Worcester. Food is good, prices are reasonable, and orders are timely. It is definitely one of our regular go to menus.

I have ordered from here for years and was always satisfied with the food. But on more than one occasion I have found hair in the food. This last time was absolutely disgusting as it was a human hair ball with lint. I will not be ordering from here again. The staff could be more professional and wear hair nets and they could be a little cleaner.

The food is nothing to write home about, but its pretty good. I like to go here when you need quick good Chinese food. The combination plates have a pretty good selection and they load them up, very filling. The prices are moderate. The only complaint I have is the duck sauce. They only give you packets and not a little tub. pain in the a$$.

King Chef is seriously one of the best Chinese places in Worcester. The food is cheap and they deliver fast too. The general gous and sesame chicken are always crispy and fully flavored instead of being bland and tasteless like many of the other places around. The eggrolls are only ok here but I’m an eggroll snob so don’t take my word for it. The crab rangoons are sooo yummy though, I definitely recommend getting them. The lady that takes orders is kind of unfriendly and impatient every time I called, but she gets the job done so I’m not really complaining. All in all, a really solid Chinese place.

We love this place. My husband and I go here often for take out.
It is pritty much just a hole in the wall type place with 4 – 5 tables in it.
But you won’t find better chinese for the price.
Their spicy beef fried rice is awesome, and the menu is in both english and spanish.
I will go out of my way to stop here. I live in Oxford, but would rather drive to Worcester (when I can) for their food than to order in town.
The owner is a lovely woman who always remembers my name… so either she is very good… or I go there way too often!

If feeling cheap and desperate for some Chinese food, King Chef should be your top choice. If seeking quality then run for the hills because the rice seems to be a few days old and super dry, orange chicken, general tsao’s chicken, any other chicken… all appear to be and taste the same. don’t expect more than 5 pieces of meat if ordering a beef dish and prepare to wait about an hour for your food if you’re doing delivery, the only thing i can say is kind of satisfying would be their lo meins, the chicken & pork are okay despite the excessive salt and MSG

Nothing spectacular, but good solid take out at very reasonable prices.
Staff is always friendly and the food is ready when you get there, if you called ahead of course.

After eating at just about every Chinese place in Worcester I find myself ordering here the most for take out and delivery. Service is normal but the food is better than the rest. It’s not as good as many places in Boston but good for Worcester mind you. Anyways their sauces have bolder flavors and their food isn’t drenched in MSG and grease so its pretty solid.

Just ok… very cheap

Cheap food, large menu, different style of Chinese food. More like what you’d find at the mall, or at a lot of the little places throughout Worcester. This place has some weird combos like platanos and pork fried rice, but I’d imagine it’s just catering to their clientele. I’ve gone here a few times, not the best location, not the most clean looking place, but they certainly have decent food, and it’s served fast. They deliver, though I’ve never asked them to, so I can’t really comment there. However, if you’re looking for some General Gao’s that’s crisp and a little spicy or some chicken wings that are kinda southern fried but still good, this is your place.
Oh, and they sell cigarettes. Need I say more?

One of the few menus with SPANISH!, and better than a few Worcester counterparts. I recommend this to anyone who wants a cheap dish to satisfy their tummies. :) Doesn’t compare to New York places, but the best I’ve found here. They serve late too (Google says 12am, I say 11:30… either way, call 15 to and they might do it). And FRIENDLY! They remember you after awhile~!
