Absolutely loved the alterations woman they recommended. The clerk was also so extremely helpful in assisting me with picking out wedding shoes. We didn’t have time to order them all the way from France so she was kind enough to help me out with something they had in stock. A great experience all around — loved my dress — and they even serve Prosecco!

This is a small shop with super friendly personal service. My daughters and I are all in an upcoming out of town wedding. The bride understandably wanted to order all the dresses together through a shop near her and the rest of the wedding party. This shop was happy to let us come in and try on dresses… bridesmaid for myself and Jr Bridesmaid for my daughter even though they knew we wouldn’t be ordering. After previous experiences trying to get fitted for out of town weddings I was thrilled to find them so close to home. The bride had a very specific list of styles she was interested in and while this is a small shop that didn’t have them all available for us they did have enough for us to be confident in sizes and find dresses that we liked. They pulled them ahead of time for us. They took their time and helped us with style and fit and we never felt like we were second class customers. We went back today to pick out the flower girl dress for my youngest. No dye lot issues with just one flower girl so I was happy to be able to give them a bit of business after they were so nice to us. Again we were working with a specific list from the bride and they were able to work with that and us both. I’m very happy with my experience here.

I had the most amazing experience shopping for my bridal gown at La Jeune Mariee in downtown Columbus, OH. I was a bride on a budget($ 2500 max for gown, veil and jewelry), and I felt that I was treated like a celebrity who was spending thousands more. The stylists were very attentive, patient, and extremely knowledgeable about the type of gown that would suit my figure and my wedding theme. Overall, they helped me to find the perfect gown and made the experience enjoyable. Furthermore, they went out of their way to accommodate me on more than one occasion. The most notable experience being when I decided to visit my parents in Youngstown, OH before driving to Columbus to «meet my dress» at 4pm on Valentine’s Day. Although the the trip from Youngstown to Columbus usually takes 3 hours, it took my family 6 hours on that day because we were driving in a horrible snow storm, which caused numerous accidents. Thus, I didn’t actually arrive at La Jeunne Marie until 30 minutes after closing(90 minutes after my appointment), but my stylist, Anette, was still there waiting for us. She had a positive attitude, pampered my family with champagne and allowed me ample time to try on different accessories. I was not rushed. Overall, my meet the gown experience was amazing even though I made it to the shop 30 minutes after closing. I cannot say enough about their customer service. I highly highly recommend this boutique(and my stylist at this Boutique) and look forward to returning when my my close family members in Columbus, Ohio look for their bridal gown!

Ohhhh, the pretties! I love just walking by here to drool at the dresses. Unfortunately, my wedding timeline didn’t allow for enough lead time, but if it had — I would have been thrilled to shop here for my dress. I’ve accompanied a friend here during her search for The Dress. While she didn’t end up purchasing a dress from LJM, the customer service I witnessed was incredible. Helped her narrow her search.(Well, sort of. That B looks amazing in everything.) No gown for me, but I did purchase my wedding shoes and jewelry here. I received fantastic customer service as well! LJM carries Hey Lady shoes… lots of styles available in various colors and various heel heights. Plus, they’re designed with comfort in mind. I went with a heel height a little lower than I would have liked, but my now-husband is shorter than I am, so… hey, nice to have the option, yeah? They even let me try on the shoes with one of my dresses(bought somewhere else) to make sure we nailed the look. When the shoes came in, they didn’t fit quite right, and the helpful staff arranged for the return. The accessories are gorgeous, and just as drool-worthy as the gowns. I didn’t wear a veil, instead opting for a fairly large sparkly comb. I probably looked at over a dozen sources for just the right comb(even more considering online retailers), finally settling on this one. The piece could’ve been made into a belt or a comb — I’d had trouble finding the right size and shape. Earrings to match! I’ve made a tradition(well, once so far anyway) to wear the comb on my wedding anniversary. Even when I was in the shop nearly a year later, the owner remembered me and my wedding — even though I didn’t purchase my dress from her! She is very involved in community outreach and the vibrancy of downtown. LJM is really one shop in a family of shops with the same owner. My mother found her MOB dress at the Worthington location(find special occasions and bridesmaid dresses here — I didn’t have any bridesmaids). They also bought Big Rock in the ShoNo(these are the even higher-end dresses). For the more budget conscious, check out LUXEredux for pre-owned designer gowns and samples. If I hadn’t found a dress so quickly elsewhere, I would’ve gone to LUXEredux next for an off-the-rack option. In fact, no matter your parameters, I’d start with calling LJM and discussing your general budget/timeline and they will point you in the right direction!

After a less than stellar experience at a big box bridal store, I wanted to go local for the bridesmaid dresses. This location stood out in my mind i think mainly because I had walked/driven passed many times and drooled over the beautiful dresses. The store itself is adorable, with wonderful racks of dresses. An associate helped me find the dress I had envisioned. I was being very picky about the color and fabric of the dresses. Since the shop is small I felt we got more of a personal experience. The associates made suggestions and made helpful comments to help me pick the right dress. The store might be small but there are many color, fabric and length options. Dresses are ordered in the size, color and fabric and then delivered to the store or the client for a fee. The only thing I had a hard time was the price of the dress. It was much more money then I wanted my bridesmaids to spend but I think it was worth it for the quality of dress received.

DON“T SHOPHERE!!! This dress shop has horrible customer service. The owner, Lindsey, has no idea what it means to treat your customer appropriately and she refuses to take responsibility for her mistakes. She NEVER apologized for the mistakes they made but instead BLAMED the entire situation on my family. They ordered my bridesmaid dresses with the wrong color belt claiming the fabric had been discontinued. If the fabric were discontinued why did the shop not communicate this to my family, and why was it still available to fix the dresses? I told a dress shop in California, where I live, of my experience and they were appalled at the way we were treated and even offered to fix the dresses there. I would have taken them up on their offer if my family weren’t in Ohio. I spoke with Lindsey on several occasions trying to solve the problem, at first I tried to be cordial, knowing that my family had had a horrible experience with these people. You know the whole, attract more bees with honey thing. Unfortunately Lindsey made it impossible to maintain any kind of decent conversation. In my final conversations with her she made it seem as though my family and I were in the wrong and her shop was the victim here continually stating that I was trying to destroy her business. That was the furthest thing from my mind considering my wedding was 3 weeks away and I really just wanted my bridesmaid dresses to be fixed. She was so focused on that though that she delivered the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Lindsey finally agreed to ordering the correct fabric and paying for the dresses to be altered. She refused to tell me the fabric had been delivered and would not let my sisters pick up the fabric until I removed my initial review from Unilocal. She made this decision based on a conversation with her silent partner. Are you kidding me? That is a violation of my First Amendment Right to FREESPEECH. I’ve even had multiple people tell me to contact a lawyer because you can’t do that. I have already contacted to request that they remove La Jeune Mariee from their site as a retailer based on my experience. I will update them based on this review. And based on the way that Lindsey treated me and my family I HAVE contacted the Better Business Bureau as well. What I find strange is Lindsey’s accusation of our«erroneous details». Can you say hypocrite? When she said she was on vacation and her terrified employees called her to find out how to handle my mother wagging her finger in their faces, she told me she was in the back office on this occasion, hmm, that’s weird. If my mother was yelling so loudly at the employees how did Lindsey not hear this in a small store? Further why did the employees not come get her to explain the erratic behavior of the customer out front? And if my family was so awful to deal with as customers why did Lindsey continue to do business with them? Oh right, because the store manager wanted to deal with it on her own. I’m sorry but with this much customer dissatisfaction it is the owner’s responsibility to take over for the manager. As far as destroying her business? I don’t need to destroy it, she’s doing a fine job of that on her own. As you can see from other 1 star Unilocalers here we’re not the only family to have an issue with this company. My sister, Jessica H, left a review below, please read. Lindsey decided to respond to that review. You can see exactly the kind of person and business owner she is from her response. Don’t let La Jeune Mariee make you feel taken advantage of, bullied and violated. I say again. DON’T SHOPHERE. Save yourself the time, money, headache and tears.

My friend, the bride, had us go to La Jeune Mariee to try on bridesmaids dresses a few weeks ago. The experience was excellent. It’s cute shop that houses numerous dresses and the consultants were hands and answered our questions with no problem. We were advised of when we needed to order dresses by to ensure they would arrive on time and had no problem getting that taken care of. The shop also offers a discount if 5 or more bridesmaids order there dresses, many shops have a minimum of 7 maids. When I become a bride, this will be my first stop!

I went into the store while I was in town for work from Chicago. I just stopped in to take a quick look while I was killing some time before meeting a friend. It was 4 p.m. on Tuesday(election day) and no customers entered the store while I was there. There were multiple employees chatting in the back. I happened upon a dress I really liked and asked if I could try it on. It was a simple dress that didn’t require any assistance. I was told«no» and that they are by appointment only(in a very condescending I’m-pretending-that-I’m-Sorry-But-I’m-Obviously-Not way) and then she offered to schedule me an appt. I explained that I was just in town for work and that I’d be leaving the next morning. She still wouldn’t allow me to try on the dress. I said that if that’s the case, I’ll just get the style name and try it in Chicago, which I did and have already found multiple stores that carry it. What horrible customer service. One dress. That required no assistance from her. No one else was in the store and there were multiple employees. And I’m there from out of town. Really? Then she offered me her card! You’ve got to be kidding… no thanks, I’ll just go buy the dress in Chicago. I understand the policy of making an appointment, I really do, but in this scenario, I think good customer service should have trumped a policy. There are plenty of other«boutiques» out there.

I have not been in the store as I am a remote bride with a bridesmaid in the Columbus area. She called the store to ask them a couple of questions about the dresses they carried(which were the ones I chose) and her measurements since she is pregnant right now but won’t be for the wedding. The sales lady proceeded to yell at her over the phone, telling her she should have gotten her measurements sooner. Considering the wedding is still five months away and my bridesmaid has been pregnant since I chose the bridesmaid dress, this was totally inappropriate. Needless to say, we will never consider buying a dress here.

Over Christmas I went shopping for bridesmaid dresses with my gals. I haven’t lived in Columbus for years so turned to Unilocal to map out our shopping day. La Jeune Mariee was our first stop and booked an appt for 10AM. The shop is lovely and just the experience I had hoped for my Mom and maids. Beautiful wedding gowns line the walls. A cute vintage love seat is positioned in the back by the wardrobe rooms for your trusted stylists, your friends & family. Aside from it being a charming boutique — there were plenty of bridesmaid dresses to choose from. When I called, I learned they carried a line I was interested in and a few others I had seen from my Chicago legwork. The owner was helpful and probably could tell they found their dresses when we wrapped the appointment. Still, we continued shopping(to no avail), and returned after lunch — ready to order. It was a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to seeing the dresses soon.
