I have been here several times now and every time is a unique menu item prepared and served perfectly. I’ve never had anything here I didn’t care for. Everything is always top notch.

Love going here for brunch on the weekend! Their 15-topping Bloody Mary bar is the best. Great Bloody Marys. Great food. Great atmosphere.

The beef Worthington was delicious. The only problem was they simply substituted A bit of spinach for the regular brussels sprouts and mushrooms. No explanation, price adjustment or anything. The spinach was fine, but I would have expected a more suitable replacement for the price. The calamari was perfect. I still really like this place, but it is not nearly as tightly run as it once was or the prices suggest it should be.

Went there for Thanksgiving and it was awesome. Lavish buffet and exceptional service. Wish that their crème brûlée was a part of the dessert offerings This is also a great place for a romantic dinner.

Visited Worthington Inn for dinner with my parents recently. Unfortunately the overall meal really missed the mark. My father comes here at least once a month for lunch and says it typically is much better. The round of appetizers(soups) came out quickly enough and were quite tasty(five onion soup). My folks and I got deep into conversation and before we knew it 30 – 40 mins had past and our entrees were not out yet. We inquired with the waitress and all see said was«I’ll send the manager over». Ok, well I’d prefer if you just checked and let us know it would be out soon… but ok. A little while later, the dishes came out(the manager carrying one). No real apologies for the delay. The manager came back to check and my fathers steak was rather undercooked(medium-rare vs medium) and not hot. Sent it back for a little more time on the grill. The manager did take off the steak and gave us one of our drinks for free. That was a nice gesture, but certainly an odd experience for not being an overly busy night for them. Perhaps something was just a little off that night…

Worst experience ever. Waited for 1.5 hours for lunch. Apparently the kitchen lost the order… And the waiter did not think to check on the order for an hour???

I have been meaning to write my review for awhile now but what can I say about a place that now has so much meaning for me? We had our wedding and reception here last weekend. If you are looking for a reception place this is the perfect one. The staff is amazing! They take care of almost all of the planning and make the process fun. I can’t say how much I loved working with Vance! The service at the reception was spot on. Our guests were not left wanting for anything. I have never been to a reception where the servers had drinks ready for you as soon as you’re current was finished. The food! Wow the food is just perfect. Ever single part of each dish was wonderful. I highly recommend the crab cakes. We have also had dinner here before booking which was also great. Try any food here and you won’t be disappointed. The Worthington Inn had paid close attention to detail and makes a great impression. If you want just a few small plates and drinks sit at the bar. I love the atmosphere at the bar; relaxed but nice. I can’t say enough here! Just make sure you go.

Dinner on Thursday night and it was fantastic. More atmosphere than a Hyde Park with better cocktails and excellent food. Steak was the best I’ve had in ages. But this place is about being transplanted old and new at the same time. Really unique for Columbus.

Know how you know you’re having an awesome fine-dining experience? When you drop the pretense of proper table manners and start tearing into your food like a kid at Applebee’s. Okay, it didn’t quite get to that point, but somewhere in the middle of our Ploughman’s charcuterie platter, I forgot to switch back and forth between meats, cheeses, and spreadables, and I might have used my fingers to pop the pickled green beans into my mouth. Worthington Inn popped up on our«gotta revisit» list this year, and the spouse chose dinner here as a birthday treat. I made the reservation via Open Table, and we were seated in the quiet north dining room. Paintings on the wall depict various Old Worthington houses, and although formal, it does seem warm and cozy. Our waiter was polite, quick and unobtrusive, which fit the mood of the room. The drinks menu is varied, and their locally-sourced ideology extends to alcohol. We ordered Rockmill saison to pair with our charcuterie — duck foie gras, soft and hard cheeses, preserves, mustard, proscutto, and the pickled green beans along with toasted foccacia. I could come here for that plate alone. The menu is varied and comfort-food focused — pork chops, chicken, potatoes, roasted spinach, etc. — locally-sourced and«elevated.»(Please excuse the pretense.) It did take time to make a choice, because the entrees had unique and interesting pairings with each protein. Ordering one dish meant leaving off the tempting side included with another. The chef was smart to include an a la carte menu of the various offered sides. I ordered the salmon, which came with pine nuts, black sesame seeds, shaved cucumber, roasted spinach and a soy-crusted rice cake. Our waiter suggested a salad, and I got the farmer’s salad. Blistered tomatoes are my new favorite thing, paired with fresh croutons and blue cheese. Crunchy, sweet, salty, creamy, and savory — salads are not supposed to be that good. ANYWAY. The spouse took a chance on the short rib gnocchi, figuring Worthington Inn would do it justice. Definitely a balance between rich flavors and textures — a dish that wants to be heavy and dull, but in the right hands turns into a hearty balance of textures and flavors. Unfortunately, food this good fills me up fast, so I had to take about 2⁄3 of my salmon entrée home. Fine-dining faux pas. The bar side of Worthington Inn is much more casual and definitely caters to a wine-bar crowd. It was super-loud when we came around the corner to leave — but we had not heard a thing during dinner. Best of both worlds — fine dining up front, wild saloon in the side bar.

Slow service… I’m so sad, because I used to love worthington inn, and I think it has a ton of potential. But, the service was slow, they forgot my sangria, and the halibut cheek entrée was skimpy and slightly overdone. And when the sangria did show up, it was way too sweet(says the sugar addicted girl). On the plus side, the Blackberry Molly dessert was good, as was the ploughman’s platter app. So come on, worthington inn — you can do better!

My wife and I recently went to the Worthington farmers market and decided to get some brunch. It was the best decision of our day. We snagged an outdoor table for great people watching. It’s a really nice atmosphere outside, with tables either on the front porch or on the side patio with a few spilling over onto the sidewalk. It’s likely pleasant out there any time, weather permitting, but it seemed especially nice with all the commotion of the farmers market. We had what was one of the best brunches I’ve ever had. I got the french toast, which involves banana, pecans, and mascarpone, as well as a side of sausage(or bacon or fruit, I believe). It was unparalleled as far as french toast goes. However, it paled in comparison to my wife’s eggs benedicto, which was poached eggs over spicy black bean patties with a side of chorizo, all covered in an avocado drizzle. It was intensely flavorful and absolutely perfect. We live on the other side of town, so I haven’t made it to the Worthington Inn for dinner, but based on the strength of the brunch, I will make it a high priority.

Came for brunch today. Have always wanted to check it out since it’s always rated one of the top restaurants in Columbus, I must say, the food was amazing. I had the Seasonal Vegetable Plate which is basically a bunch of little delicious veggie side dishes on one plate. It’s beautiful and everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The best broccolini I’ve ever had. My husband had the Crab Benedict and he, too, cleaned his plate. The service was OK, definitely nothing spectacular. We ordered coffee and the server came around to refill a little more infrequently than I would have hoped. Also, the acoustics in the room made me feel like we were screaming when we were talking. Probably would have been better if more people were around. All in all, I’d for sure go back for brunch and would like to try for dinner too.

Stopped here for brunch. Had to investigate their bloody mary. Let’s just jump into that. They have a Bloody Mary bar, but they make it for you. I hate bloody mary bars because I hate doing it myself for the same price. It’s just… odd. Anyway, they give you a menu that has around 15 garnishes. You mark what you want(which, BTW, can be ALL15 garnishes. And NO, I didn’t pick 15 garnishes, thank you…) and they return with a lovely decorated bloody mary with local Watershed vodka. Yummy yum it was tasty. NOT the best in Columbus but worth the $ 9, compared to others in town(but not in the same neighborhood.) Food. I got the overpriced Eggs Benidicto for $ 14: two poached eggs, black bean cakes, avocado, tortilla chips, grilled chorizo links, colorado & cilantro sauces. Not great, but fresh. Left me hungry. My friend got the overpriced Buckeye Burger for $ 13: lettuce, tomato, red onion, cheese, locally baked sesame kaiser bun, house-made dill pickle and fries. It was cooked medium well, so good job on that. Décor. I think the fact that this place is a historic inn is why I don’t like the high prices, and the décor. The carpet definitely needs removed-makes me kinda itch. I wish I would have sat outside on the patio for some fresh air. Inside you’re surrounded by antiques, dark wood, dark pattern carpet and… history. Perhaps that explains the ratings it gets. It’s getting surrounded by more and more modern Worthington restaurants with updated décor, better Happy Hours and brunch menus, inspired dishes and inventive seasonal cocktails. Everything needs an overhaul.

Amazing food with great service. A little fancier fine dining than most breakfast places. They have a Bloody Mary bar as well. b

Went here for brunch the day after Valentine’s Day — they had a «sweetheart brunch» special going, even though our group opted to order from the traditional menu, it looked great! The food was incredible, something for every taste & dietary restriction & appetite size in our group. The garlic-rosemary bread was a perfect start to our meal and excited everyone at our table. The mimosas and bloody marys were a great addition to our brunch! Service from our waitress, Leigh, was impeccable, she was friendly, accommodating, & funny!

Went today for Valentine’s Day Brunch. I thought the place was really cute. We were the first there and had the whole place to ourselves, but it filled up pretty quickly. I had a strawberry bellini and even though I claim I don’t like fruity/sweet drinks, this WAS pretty delicious. They garlic-rosemary bread with the some sort of creamy butter(?) was an awesome free starter. I had the Worthington Benedict… Corned beef CAKES with hollandaise, perfect home fries, and even some spinach to make me feel healthy. We were offered a box of sweets from Sassafrass bakery next door(hooray for local collaboration) due to Valentine’s Day, but I was already stuffed so we passed. Furthermore, my fiancé is having her bridal shower here, and the hostess was nice enough to take us up to the room she had reserved so she could see it after breakfast.

The food always is consistently good at The Worthington Inn. It’s always a joy to dine here. I am a little let down that they did away with their Sunday brunch Buffett. However I will be back again to order off their brunch menu. Overall I loved the service, food, and the ambiance.

I actually give it 5 stars for what I would consider«the best burger I’ve ever eaten» and 3 stars for the service. The manager was great and made some special accommodations for our small group of 5. The waitress seemed put out that we were even there. Now, we all have bad days and when you’re in the service industry(especially at a higher end establishment) that needs to be put aside to serve the needs of the guests and at a minimum I expect a smile and being cordial. That’s not what we got. I’ll definitely be back to eat the Lights Out Burger and hope to receive service that is at least somewhat close to the quality of that burger.

My husband and I have started making this one of our regular stops every month or so. We love the ambiance and the olde timely feel of the Inn. This is my first actual review of the Inn because I always freaking forget to do one but not this time! Anyhow we started out with cocktails I had a Cosmo and he had an OYO vodka martini up. Next up was the calamari and so far we think they have the best we’ve had in central Ohio its soooo good and tastes fresh with a Thai sauce that’s yummy. Next up I ordered the Veal Milanese with arugula and oven baked tomatoes. I stepped out my comfort zone with this dish and it was good but not as good as other dishes I’ve had there love their Beef Worthington or the pan seared scallops. Anyhow my husband had the salmon with sautéed spinach and risotto which he’s had before and he loves it. Overall we had great service and a nice time and we will be back again!

I only come here for their Sunday brunch buffet and it’s quite delicious. It’s 24.95 $ a person, it might sound pricey but the food quality is really good. The food feels fresh and you can build your own lox sandwich– smoked slamon, with cream cheese, capers, onion, egg. HEAVEN! There are plenty of other dishes equally as good so try a little bit of everything and save room for dessert! They have a loooooot of choice too!
