Can anything compare to a first love? Mine was BCBG Final Cut at the Tilton outlets in New Hampshire. $ 400 dresses marked down to $ 20… and all in my size! I would buy everything in the store and leave with bags and bags, having only spent $ 300… Ah, those were the days.
Now that store is closed, gone forever. The girl who helped me at Wrentham told me there used to be a Final Cut here as well — Final Cut, why have you forsaken me?
The deals here are certainly much better than what you’ll find at a non-​outlet store, but when pretty things are $ 300+, I need more than 50% off (the little math I can do tells me that buying frivolous things for 50% off is still not in my price range).
I left having only bought one tank top! It’s a great tank top, but it’s lonely because of this conundrum: everything in my taste was at the original price; everything in my price range was not in my taste.
Cool: there’s a $ 29 and a $ 39 rack.
Not cool: all of those sizes are not my size — many L’s and 10+‘s.
Cool: some really pretty things.
Not cool: all of the simple, pretty things are $ 200+ — the gaudy, prom-​like dresses are the $ 30 ones. Weird?
My wardrobe is now tragically lacking in an excess of BCBG wear.
Where have all the Final Cuts gone? Long time in passing…
Final Cut, I would keep you in business. I promise.

You may be wondering, why is a guy writing a review of BCBG??? I believe that I can provide a different point of view. Interested? I have been in the BCBG stores in the city, and they defininitely have this great look and provide a high level of service to their customers. One often does not expect to see it in their outlet stores. It indicates to me that management gets it, and that the staff are into it as well. This is what makes this store great for shopping as well as successful. It has a nice layout inside, but not overbearing, it definitely has a very obtainable feel to it. I bought a gown for $ 41 that regularly retailed for over $ 200! I’m all about finding a deal and this is about as good as it gets!
