Holy sandwiches! Monster-size, delicious sandwiches with real, quality Italian ingredients. Probably the best sandwich I’ve had in this area so far… And there’s steep competition! Loved the Broadway Brawler and Coliseum sandwich. Cant wait to go back and buy some pork for the grill!

This is a great Italian Market. I recently moved to the Bergen county area and was looking for my local Italian market with really good stuff. Sausage was excellent and I live that they have non fennel everyday. I also ordered a tray of sandwiches for a party and they were awesome and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend and will continue to use in the future.

If you can’t get to little Italy in the Bronx this is a great substitute! Selection is top notch and the service is great! Call early for holidays as the lines go around the corner.

The only issue with A&S is it is very hard to just go in and buy what you were going in for. Everything looks and smells great and it is hard to walk out without buying some of the best home made mozzarella you will ever taste. Fantastic sandwiches, have never had anything that was not good. Just sometimes it gets so crazy in there you need to make sure you end up with everything that you wanted. Staff is great and helpful, never had a bad experience. Just certain times of day, and around holidays be prepared for a long wait.

Great and authentic Italian deli. They literally have meats and pig feet hanging and cheese galore in the cold cut case. Make sure to call ahead or check their Facebook page for daily specials. Well worth it! Here are a few things I’ve had to date: Roast Beef /Mozzarella Sandwich — roast beef was seasoned well on the outside and the mozz was fresh and tasty. The roast beef was a little rare(very red on the inside) for my liking, but it’s cooked fresh in-house so it may have just been super rare that day. Coworkers have had it when it wasn’t so rare. Eggplant Parm — HUGE portions. The sandwich was gigantic. I order sauce on the side because it doesn’t seem to have enough for me. The eggplant is thinly sliced(several layers) topped with fresh melted mozzarella cheese and Italian tomato sauce. Really good, and a lot of food. Definitely enough to share. Spaghetti squash — Interesting. I’ve gotten this twice and it’s delicious, but make sure to get something else with it. It’s a little bland if you’re just eating this. It’s a special and not available every day. It’s spaghetti squash with ricotta cheese and tomato sauce(a play on spaghetti and sauce). Chicken Piccata — I had this today and it was a special so I don’t think it’s always on the menu. I loved it. Thick, juicy pieces of chicken; the sauce tasted much like Chicken Francese but had capers and spinach. On the side I had the broccoli and string beans cooked with bread crumbs and garlic it was a great meal. The employees are extremely welcoming and very friendly and polite.

Absolutely fabulous. Sopressata, salami, proscuitto, salads, eggplant parmesan, ravioli, sauces and cheeses of all kinds, italian snacks and sweets, desserts, and much, much more. I have never had anything here that was bad, or even remotely average. Everything is of superior quality. A hidden gem in north NJ.

I love it so much that I go there weekly for specialty items — or dinner, so I don’t have to cook. And they always call me «young lady.»

A true gem. While there are a ton of Italian deli’s/specialty stores in the area, this is the best! Their italian sub is premium quality and puts those at Market Basket and La Strada to shame. All prepared foods and pasta are incredible and the people behind the counter are always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend checking it out.
