Went here on a Saturday night. It was crowded and we waited about 15 minutes for a table. We ordered the chicken dumplings as an appetizer. They were really good ~ crispy, flavorful and with a delicious sauce. The bread was foccacia like and very good too. For entrees we choose the swordfish which was excellent and came with an amazing potato croquet and the hangar steak which was cooked perfectly medium rare. Both were large portions and plated very nicely. The swordfish was one of the daily specials and came with a salad. For dessert we had tiramisu which we also highly recommend. Overall it was a great experience and we’ll definitely go back.

We received a gift certificate for Café Amici and were SO happy we did. The food was incredible the Rice ball was just like my grandmother used to make. Our server was great he kept our drinks filled and made sure or meal was perfect. We can not wait to come again. I would defiantly recommend Café Amici to everyone.

I’ve lived in Wyckoff my whole life but have only recently tried the food here. I ordered a burger with a side of fries and a slice of cheesecake for dessert. The dessert was a bit expensive for 7 dollars a slice. The quality of the food was great and the waitress was attentive without being intrusive, coming over only when she saw my glass was empty to offer a refill. I would return.

Delicious brunch place! I’ve been here a few times and their food never disappoints. If you go around lunchtime, it’s pretty packed. Their margarita pizza was great and they have so many options for salads.

Had a chance to drop in to Café Amici this past week while in the area to see a client and we came here for a lunch meeting. Pretty decent American/Italian style resto with good service and tasty food. It’s a nice little surprise of a place as it’s in the corner of a strip mall area. Simple menu with a diverse selection of salads and entrees. Bright and pleasant décor with a mixed crowd of those on lunch breaks to locals chatting over a meal. The noise level gets a bit loud in here as the tables fill up but not so bad that you can’t hear yourself speak. They offer around ten different«signature salads» and all looked pretty solid. I had the Ahi Tuna — Seared ahi tuna, avocado, fresh mango, cherry tomato, mixed greens, wasabi, pickled ginger, soy ginger vinaigrette for $ 17. Pretty delicious actually and the tuna was seared and crusted just right on the outside. The service was also friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back again if in the area.

It’s not the food that’s bad(the food is usually good,) but the atmosphere and the price is the main problem. It cost me and my friend $ 30 for two meals(they got a sandwich, and I got pasta.) The food was very good, but it was hard to hear each other because was it me or was the sound from all around the restaurant traveling, is there was bad acoustics? I don’t know. Anyways, restaurants are for the food, not the building.

It’s a loud and crowded at lunch. Their salads are good and decent sized. Just have a problem with paying their prices for salads. Pizza is really salty. People seem to like it. I find salt is a cover for low flavor ingredients. Service is spotty. Some days it’s OK, some days it’s bad. I never had exceptional service here. If you want a substitution be sure to saying clearly and in at least two ways. Otherwise your on your own. You’ve been warned.

Was here for dinner last week and maybe it was an off night but the food wasn’t bad… wasn’t very good either. Waited for a while to get our order even for drinks taken. Started out with the zucchini fries. oh my god were they greasy. Like. fine if you’re having one or two bites but definitely don’t get them just for yourself or one person to share. I felt SO disgusting afterwards I wish I could take that meal back. Maybe I will go back when I am extremely hungover to cure it The turkey burger was okay; I’m convinced it would’ve probably been better if my taste buds weren’t tainted by the greasy zucchini. I hear such good things about this place though(and have had many a good meal at the Ho Ho Kus location) that I would definitely be willing to come back and try something lighter on the menu

If I opened up a restaurant, it would be like Café Amici. The food is fresh, the menu is full of familiar, simple, straight forward dishes, and done well. The atmosphere is casual and easy going. The menu seems to be separated into salad, burgers, sandwiches, pizza, and pasta. While I’ve not tried their pasta, I’ve heard good things from others who have. I love their salad options but recently tried their turkey burger and I was also impressed. I especially love the kale chicken salad, which is newer addition to the salad menu, I think. Based on what others Unilocaled, I have to try their pizzas next. If I could, I would have lunch there once a week, but alas, I can’t afford to lunch outside of work, time wise.

We’ve been here twice in the last few months and really have enjoyed ourselves and our meals. First off it’s BYOB so major points for that. The atmosphere is cozy but not so tight that you can’t have a private conversation. The staff is super friendly and helpful as well which is always nice. We’ve all pretty much ordered specials when we’ve come so I’ll talk about those… the Sunday gravy so tasty, not my meal but I got to taste. I had a crabcake appetizer as my meal which was fantastic and crabmeaty with a light and flavorful Asian slaw. The last time I got the ribs which I couldn’t finish but again absolutely delicious. We started our meal with the pork belly appetizer which was also to die for and, I had a cream of asparagus soup-light and tasty. Their fries are also a must have, handcut and super crispy. All of our other guests were also very happy w their meals. Being that this place is so close to my brother and sister in law it’s a great place for us that offers dining options for everyone.

In a corner of a small shopping center, you walk into a sleek modern décor and many staff members ready to help with a great smile and courtesy. Lunch hour is the trendy place to come dressed to impressed it seems like, especially for the ladies. The menu is simple but always consistent. Turkey burger with spread is a must have and their specials never disappoint. Desserts seemed all homemade and fresh. Don’t get their during lunch, try to be early or late on the hour otherwise you might be standing the entire time as everyone socializes and takes their time. Never feel rushed and the more you order and talk, the quicker the time flies by. A must try if you are in the area.

I’ve been to Café Amici twice, and both times have been pretty decent with good service and generally good food. I’m a vegetarian so I’ll admit I can’t give as good of a rundown on their food as others, but I’ve always enjoyed their Margarita Pizza. For the price range and quality, the place has a nice ambiance. BYOB like most places in Wyckoff, and they don’t take reservations. Overall, it’s a good place to go out for dinner.

This review is based on one visit for lunch. Ambiance: Lovely décor, pleasant dining room that gets very noisy when the place fills up. Some fabrics or acoustic cloth somewhere would help a lot. Dessert case seems kind of bakery– or diner-ish for an establishment like this. Food: My companion and I had the spicy Thai chicken salad and the Bianca pizza. The salad was very nice and tasty, if unexciting. It had whole Spanish peanuts, which was a nice touch. The Bianca pizza is incredible. Every pizza I have from now on MUST have shaved roasted brussels sprouts on it! This is a sauceless pizza with the sprouts, fennel, grilled onions, and scallions — and BACON! A bit too much olive oil, but incredible flavor. My only gripe — it’s served on a board and you have to ASK for a plate. I would definitely try this again; the pappardelle with what looked like short rib pictured in the newspaper clipping in the entryway looked intriguing.

Was in Sat and the service was terrible. It took 10 min to get asked if we wanted water. When the server finally made an appearance all she said was are you ready. The salad I odered was dry and I asked for more dressing and the server just laughed and said our salads don’t need more dressing. My husband got pasta with vodka sauce and it was not enough sauce, but at this point we weren’t going to send it back. We will never go back our friends were wrong about this place.

While visiting my family in NJ we came in on a very busy Thursday night. Host was friendly but I noticed he didn’t quote anyone a time for their wait… just said there is a table that just go their food so you can have the table after that. Most people do better when you give them a time frame. Anyway, our server seemed very busy and/or not paying too close attention but she was helpful after we asked to get bread and oil for the table and have our wine opened. For the price of the place you shouldn’t have to ask for these things but again, it seemed they were busier than expected. I’m giving 4 stars for the food. I live in the Pacific Northwest so I’m used to great salmon and I felt the salmon here was excellent. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned excellently. The brussels sprouts it was served with were also phenomenal. The quinoa could use a little more flavor but it was ok. The bread for the table was delicious(please tell me you bake that in house) and the margarita pizza was also very yummy. Little brothers had the penne with vodka and the sauce was wonderful, I made them take their leftovers home so I could eat it the next day. Overall: Service could be better, host should quote a wait time, 4 stars for the chef and BOH, the food was worth coming back for!

Love Café Amici! The staff is super friendly and the restaurant is neat, clean, and beautifully decorated. A bit pricy, but large portions. Their Veggie Burger on the 7 grain bread was great the first time I went, but just ok the second. It’s super filling and healthy and doesn’t make you feel gross! I get it sans chipotle mayo or on the side, but choose sweet potato fries as a side when I want a treat. They are delicious. Usually get that and split it with the Spicy Thai salad with my sister. Amazing and exactly as described. Dressing on the side perfect(see below). Have also tried The Kale salad. I judge my salads on how they taste without dressing, and this wasn’t great. With the dressing it was ok, but who knows what’s in a creamy dressing :/. All their salads look great, along with the entrees and specials. My cousin loves the Penne Vodka and the Pizza. I will try to branch out next time!

Was visiting from out of town, and came here on a Monday night. There was no wait, and we were attended to promptly, the bottles of wine we brought, quickly opened and poured. This place is BYOB. Started w the zucchini strings, which were tasty, but they could’ve used some kind of dipping sauce or aioli. I added salt to them and squeezed fresh lemon on them, which added some more flavor. I had the turkey burger w sweet potato fries for my dinner, which was delicious. The burger was seasoned so well and the mango chutney on it added the perfect amount of sweetness. I was between this and the short rib burger, which also looked great. My bf, who is from the area and has gone here often, got his usual meal of the taglitelle fungi. I had a bite, and while very rich, was quite delicious. A great meal and a place I would come back the next time I am visiting!

Omg we came here today after reading some of the bad reviews about the service. John was our waiter and he was just a step above fabulous! So attentive and sincerely NICE. Seriously, I just wanted to hand him my wallet when our meal was over and just tell him«take what you want» As far as the food Beef barley soup was good(did not expect tomatoe base) We also had the fried zucchini and 2 salads. More than enough food! We will be back!
