Mane On Madison

My daughter just had her prom hair done there and it was fabulous! Jacqueline did her hair but all the stylists are great. They salon is beautiful and offers a lot of services. A lot of the HS girls go there because they offer new color services etc. I also did my Brazilian blowout there. Very happy.

As always, Brazilian Blowout came out AMAZING. I cannot emphasize how great this salon is down to the people, the products and the service. You really feel like family. I’ve now been coming here for quite some time and It continues to amaze me. Keep it up girls!

My stylist of 14 years recently retired, so I went to Mane on Madison based on the good reviews hoping to find a new stylist. The person who cut my hair spent less than 10 minutes cutting, but about 20 minutes styling into a beautiful, wavy look– so I didn’t notice until the next day the my hair was completely lopsided, with one side about an inch shorter than the other! It was so apparent that even my brother noticed. The «layers» were also very bluntly cut with no blending, almost as if I had done them myself. I ended up tying my hair back every day until I finally got it fixed by someone at another salon, who also mentioned that my hair was a disaster. I couldn’t bring myself to give these folks one star because they are really nice, but I’m surprised by all the positive reviews and figured I would add my experience to the review pot to maybe save someone else from an experience like this.

I bought a groupon here for microdermabrasion and I loved it. The service is friendly, and the salon is quite adorable. Microdermabrasion is quite similar to a facial.
I would recommend coming here if you want to try it out.

Loveeee this place! I’m extremely critical of my hair and who does it so I was so relieved when I made an appointment with Jacqueline for a haircut to find how amazing she is! I’ve been to Mane on Madison at least four times now (for Jacqueline) and each time I’ve left beyond happy! First off, it’s the cutest place since it’s literally in a house setting. Everyone there is sooooo niceee and they also put out bagels and cookies for their clients. Jacqueline is also ridiculously talented; when you explain something to her that you would like done, she immediately knows what you’re talking about and does it! I had her cut off 8 inches of my hair for a lob and I got so many compliments! Then the next time I went back I told her I was growing it back out (of course haha) and told her my vision of what I want my hair to eventually look like, and she explained to me how we could get there which I really appreciated. That day we added some balayage to my hair and I love it! I’m going back in soon to continue with our plan! Definitely request Jacqueline! She’s not only super talented cutting but also with color!

I’ve been looking for a good, not too expensive, hair salon ever since I moved to Bergen County 5 years ago. Now, I must say, I finally found my hair salon! The place is a cozy, comfy, shop where I felt right at home and not in an assembly line.
I found the place through Groupon and did the Brazilian Blowout special. I never had one done before and it absolutely rocks! My unruly, thick, frizzy, wavy hair is now manageable and styleable (whereas it lived in a ponytail or a flipped-​up bun).
Amanda, who is also their makeup artist, washed my hair and boy did it feel awesome! And Lisa was my hair stylist and she was awesome and enjoyable! I hope to try out a dye or highlight job at some point.

I’ve been looking for someone to do my hair in Bergen county for a while!!! Lisa is amazing!!! She does my base, highlights, and keratin. I get compliments everywhere.(seriously everywhere). My hair is in so much better shape ever since she started doing it. Pricing is the most reasonable in Bergen county. So happy I found her!!!

I have been a long time customer. I have always had great outcomes. From color to cut to up dos to all the services all were top notch. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The place is festive. Prices are very reasonable. Enjoy your pampering!

I can’t say enough about this place! If you r looking for fabulous service in a comfortable environment this is the place for you. The salon is in a renovated older home and everyone just gets along so it has a really neat vibe. Lisa and Paul are current with what’s new and are always up for trying new color and cuts. I initially went to correct horrible over processed highlights and Lisa added just the right color to soften the look. Liked it so much I have become a loyal customer. I have never used the upstairs salon but it seems to get a lot of business also.

Bought a Groupon for a partial highlight and cut. They squeezed me in which was so nice of them, and gave me an option to upgrade to a full highlight (which my hair needed). I met with Jacqueline and she was so perfect! I’ve mainly been going to the same hair person for about 10 years and have had a really hard time trying to find someone who I felt I could trust with my hair like I did her… I’ve moved around a bit, and my hair has struggled due to my lack in finding someone who wouldn’t turn my hair a shade of yellow or worse, orange, or give me one of those choppy cuts… Jacqueline did such an AMAZING job on my highlights and cut, I already booked my next appointment with her. She’s so friendly, as was everyone there & my hair couldn’t have come out better. Highly recommend! I’ll post pictures when I can to supplement. :-)

I had the Groupon for the Brazilian Blowout. I desperately needed color help also because I had bad highlights, so after reading a review that Jacqueline is a color goddess, I figured I would go for that as well. I was not disappointed! She did an amazing job and the blowout was great as well. Also, I must say she was super professional and she even complimented my haircut and said she liked it. I feel like anytime I try a new place there is inevitably a comment about how bad my cut is or my color and I need additional services, etc. Jacqueline didn’t have anything bad to say (even about my color, which I knew was awful) and she made me feel good about myself the whole time. The salon itself is charming and clean. For some reason, I was imagining a salon in someone’s house a la Steel Magnolias lol — not the case! Also, don’t be deceived by the website — it’s not that great and does not list all the services that they provide and everything is a reasonable price (yes, even though it’s in Wyckoff). When you go, they will give you a complete price menu for the salon and the spa upstairs. All staff that I encountered were friendly and the girl who washed out my hair was so nice and spunky (I feel bad I forgot her name but I thiiiiink she is the daughter of one of the owners). When I went to pay the bill, the owner gave me a discount on the additional color service and I was so suprised at how thoughtful that was. Definitely going back for my color!

Mane on Madison came highly recommended through one of my in-​home clients who has been a customer of theirs for over 5 years. I told my fiancé about them and they came to her rescue by fixing years of unhappy highlights. I can tell you that she has never smiled more since Paul gave her the look she finally has been waiting for. With that being said, I was looking for a new look and style and if you want the best, you go to the best!
Paul and his extended family operate out of a house turned salon. They made me feel like one of their own from day one. He sat with me first to discuss what would look best and the vision he had instead of cutting away and showing me the results later. I was extremely happy with the results as I am very particular about the look. I have since recommended their services to friends, family and clients alike. I am confident you will get the look and the salon quality feel you are after. Home is where the heart is and Mane on Madison is definitely where the hair is as well…

I am giving this salon 5 stars for compassion and kindness. I have not had my appointment yet however when I do I will update this. I just felt the need to post a review based on my consultation. I came here because it was highly recommended to me. I knocked on the door and the owner Paul and his wife welcomed me in after hours. I was in tears telling my story of my hair nightmare. They made me feel much better by validating my feelings and assuring me they could help. I am very excited and feel very comfortable here.
