To my surprise, such an elegant salon turned out to be an unpleasant disappointment. I felt that I was taken advantage of as a groupon customer. I was charged an obscenely expensive fee for having «long hair» and I was not taken seriously as a client. By the end of the appointment, I had basically paid full price for sub-par service. I will not be returning to Shear Perfection Hair Studio and I advise other salon seekers to look elsewhere.

I visited here using a Groupon, but I don’t think that should have an impact on the service. I just wanted a subtle trim and was very specific about my wishes. After the trim and blowout I thought I was done. The next thing I know she combs out the front and chops off 3+ inches. Now I have short short bangs that look ridiculous– Frankly I was speechless… I cried when I got home. Hopefully my review will serve as a PSA. Beware! I hate my hair and am looking into getting extensions — that’s how awful it is!

Walking through the doors of Shear Perfection I was greeted by the friendly receptionist. Next I was offered complimentary coffee and light snack. I then settled in a chair in the cozy waiting area with the latest issue of Vogue. I had my color, highlights, cut and blow out done by Jack Pagliarello, the salon owner. Now you can imagine how long I was there for however being in the hands of an experienced stylist I was very comfortable and more then pleased with the finished product! I highly recommend Shear Perfection in Wyckoff overall it was a great experience!

Being blonde, I am very particular who does my hair. When my regular hair dresser moved to Hawaii, I tried to find someone who could do blonde highlights… harder than you would think in the tri-state area.
Stumbled upon this little salon close to Boulder Run in Wyckoff.
If you want your highlights done right, and a great cut, I would highly recommend this salon. Deana is a true artist and sweet to boot!
After trying various salons in the area, I’ll only go back to Shear Perfection.
