We had a good meal here on Sunday. However, the host at the time was extremely rude. It made the experience less than enjoyable.

Tried this place out on father’s day and we thought it was just ho hum. The father’s day special was ribeye steak and eggs. I ordered it medium rare but what I got was a peice of well done shoe leather chock a block full of gristle. To be fair the eggs were done just right. Many of the other dishes that our party ordered were well complemented on. There were rave reviews for the pork chops and french toast. The real bummer about this place was the reservation we made(9:15 am) that disappeared into thin air. I will give it another chance next time I’m down that way.

This cute little restaurant in downtown Wylie is a must to visit. It’s in an old house so I find the interior extremely intriguing and charming. I’ve been searching for a meatloaf sandwich and much to my surprise they had it!!! Not only is their food delicious but the waitresses are entirely too lovely. Although I adore this restaurant, their breakfast needs a serious re-write. When I order a breakfast it usually is flavorless or tastes burned. Just a tip I suppose

Home cooking with style. Personalized service was the best! This was a great romantic escape for me and my wife. They treated us like family. Food was like my granma made and she was GOOD! I love this place and the atmosphere is very personal, and the staff make you feel right at home. Can;t wait to come back.

After months of wanting to try this place we finally did. We’ve now been twice within days of each other and it’s been great each time. The service is wonderful and very friendly. The food is fantastic! I seriously had the best broccoli of my life here. Yes… broccoli. Can you imagine how delicious the main course must have been??? If you’re thinking about trying this place do it.

Fried pickles are awesome. Love the location. Friendly staff with wonderful customer service. Emily has such a sense of humor that made our experience such a pleasure. Home made food at a reasonable price.

Quaint little vintage tea room serving brunch, lunch and dinner located in the middle of Downtown Wylie. Don’t let their small sized location fool you, they serve huge platters of food! They say«everything in Texas is BIG» and that was proven with my brunch plate. I had a «Southwest Burrito» with potatoes and a hot chocolate! Yum. I’m stuffed and satisfied.

They must have hired a new cook because after a year not going there, they have got it together. Everything we ordered is great. Give them another chance it is worth it. The fried pickkes are addictve. We had steak and chicken fried steak. We picked it up and it was hot and delicious. Try it again you will be surprised.

Lovely cute little place with the friendliest staff and decent food. I’ve only been here for breakfast about a couple months ago. Unfortunately, bc the place is older, it shows a bit. My husband and I have bad allergies and it got to us while we were dining. Hopefully, they can redo the the place a little to remedy that.

This place is so adorable! It makes you feel like you are eating at grandma’s house. We sat outside and enjoyed the view of downtown while while we listened to the windchimes. The service was very fast and the food was delicous. I will be coming back!

Good food, atmosphere, menu and service. By far the best food we have had in the area since we moved from Addison.

Best breakfast in Wylie and the wedding cake desert is heavenly. The food is wonderful but the service can be iffy. Be sure to go before church is out on Sunday.

This place is just as the name implies… It really is a taste of home… The inside is VERY intimate with the look and feel of home… But not just any home… but a home that looks like it belongs in rural Kansas back in 1910! Just beware of the gravy… it tend to have to much garlic

Salmon croquettes with grilled mixed veggies and Texas fries. This is a very nice place for a small dinner with your loved one or the family. Second time here and really enjoy it.

You can’t get any more homey than a restaurant in a home. The eggs benedict, potatoes and pancakes are amazing. The staff is super friendly and on the ball about refills and your comfort. There was no wait on a Sunday no less. They were very polite and loved our 7 month old.

So, a friend asked if I wanted to have lunch here. I knew this was one of her favorite places to eat and I thought I would go ahead and give Taste of Home another shot. This time I got the Salad Trio Plate. I chose to get the chicken salad, broccoli raisin walnut salad, and the potato soup. The chicken salad was better this time. It had more flavor and a good amount of grapes and walnuts. This was my first time I had the broccoli raisin walnut salad and I didn’t regret it. It was delicious and the broccoli was still good and crispy and had great flavor. Now, the ultimate test! The potato soup, which I will reiterate that this was my favorite and last time it tasted like pureed baby food with no flavor. This time, the soup far more acceptable. It was not pureed and had more little chunks and flavor. Still needed to had some pepper and salt, but not as much as before. The service had improved from before, as well. This time I did not have to wait for a long period of time to have my water refilled. She was on top of things and my glass was filled throughout. I feel that it will be good to continue coming to this establishment.

Too cute for words and delicious! A friend told me about this place and I expected frou frou and tiny. This place is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside and has a huge men that includes burgers and beer so you can take your man! Got the wedding cake for dessert with a chocolate covered strawberry and it was amazing. Will be going back. Good for girls group or special lunch with little girls 4 and up. Maybe even lunch with husband. Wouldn’t say this is great for a group of kids as it is an older home and probably not as entertaining BUT they do schedule little girl tea parties!

Meatloaf entrée was ok. Nothing special. Not bad. Not great. Mostly like baked ground beef. No seasonings. Gravy didn’t taste home made. And tomato sauce was like it was poured from a can. Grilled chicken salad was delicious.

I absolutely love this place! We have received excellent service and food every time. Large portions and great quality. I love the old home the restaurant is in, kinda makes you feel like you have stepped back in time. After your meal, sit on the large front porch for a while listening to the different wind chimes as the breeze blows.
