Dollar General Store

Boy what bummer this visit was!
I had just finished eating at the Casano’s down the mall from here, and decided to get some cold meds, as I felt a cold coming on. Dollar General has a nice selection of $ 1 items in these meds. Those products were not available in this store, Sad.
Well this location does not have an all dollar isle like most DG’s have now, I asked, and was told no by someone stocking in the back.
I went ahead and bought a few other items, as I was browsing, I heard a lady at the checkout say: HELLO! anyone one here to check me out?” I continued on looking for stuff another 5 minutes or so, and I heard a man say the same thing.
Finally another 10 minutes more or more of looking around in the back, I made my way back to the checkout, and I was shocked to find both people still standing there shaking there heads. I briefly made small talk with the guy in front who had a cart full of stuff, I had 3 items. I simply put my basket down and walked out.
Not sure what was going on, but 2 people were stocking shelves, and not one bothered to see if people needed checked out in nearly 20 minutes. Sad!
These workers are underpaid and overworked in my opinion. I don’t at blame the workers. They have to stock and run the registers from what I understand.
