West Valley Nails

I went to get a new shellac manicure. Removing shellac is usually not an issue elsewhere, but they removed it with the spinning file instead of the standard acetone soak. I have extremely strong and healthy nails, but this made them so weak and almost painful. Then they took forever to actually do the the manicure, working two nails at a time in and out of the UV, which they kept on the entire time, putting on several coats, which always causes the polish to peel and look terrible after a week. This was by far the worst shellac manicure I’ve ever had.

I’ve been going here for a few years now, and have noticed the last 3 times or so it’s just going down hill. I just went this week, and I decided this time I’m not going to go back. I will find a better place for the money. The massage has decreased every time, and they pick hard at your toes with that nipper thing, which is not exactly pleasant. They rush through now, I was done in 40 minutes. What happened to the hour pedicure? I wouldn’t describe it as a nice place either.

Yesterday I came into West Valley Nails and got a full set of acrylics with a gel top coat. I called in prior to schedule the appointment, but it didn’t seem to be an issue. They must have busier times. The place is very clean and nice. The nails look really nice, however they do have some small imperfections such as air bubbles and a small piece of dust caught — but this is true of all salons I’ve been too and no one is noticing it but me. I can’t speak to the longevity of the nails yet, but will update later.
I also observed a woman getting a pedicure and it looked really awesome. Her leg and foot massage lasted for longer than I’ve seen at other places. They also have massage chairs for the pedicure bowls, which is a great feature.

Nice & friendly :) But you should make an appt… Bc when I was here they turned away a few people that didn’t have any, for people that did.

Great price, pedicure is the best I have ever had!!! Make apt is so they take Better care of you. I’m ready for another one;)

Great place for manicures, pedicures and acrylics. She draws very lovely flowers freehandad. A lot of parking right next to Safeway. This is the only place I get my nails done when I’m visiting my family in Yakima.
