When I think of Mexican Food and Establishments, I always imagine a full spectrum of Colors and a full assortment of Flavors. This place was dimly lit and there wasn’t much vibrant décor as I’m used to at other Fine Mexican Establishments. We were seated almost immediately by the friendly staff and then handed nice looking menus with a broad selection of Meat, Seafood, and some Vegetarian dishes; they even contained a brief history of Xochimilco Mexico which was quite interesting. We ended up starting off with 2 Tostadas de Ceviche, a Vibrant Mexican staple in most coastal states. When they arrived we received 2 huge portions of very dull seafood salad that not only tasted old but had little flavor. The Tostadas were soggy by the time we got them and frankly as much as we tried we couldn’t eat them($ 6 each). After that we ordered drinks, I ordered a Beer(Great Beer Selection btw) and my girlfriend ordered the Xochimilco Margarita and she loved it, one of the best Margaritas she has ever had, it was prepared beautifully and came with its shaker on the side which contained more of this Margarita. After a couple beers I gained the courage to try another dish, so I ended up ordering a Cóctel de Camarón y Pulpo aka La Campechana, a cold seafood soup/cocktail with shrimp and octopus. I was able to finish this one but it was also lacking flavor, the octopus was rubbery, and most of all it was lacking freshness. I knew I should of gone with my gut instinct to never order Seafood when you’re nowhere near the Ocean but my Girlfriend is a Pescatarian so I ended up taking the risk and lost out because she wouldn’t eat any of it. I also noticed they serve store bought tortillas opposed to making their own which is usually a great rule of thumb for identifying Authentic Style Mexican. This was my 1st experience here and I don’t plan on coming back unless it’s for the Drinks, and Maybe, just Maybe to try something on their menu that isn’t Seafood.

Xochimilco in the Glenwood Square Is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town. They have a great atmosphere and really good Carne Asada and salsa.

Awesome service, Margs delish, salsa was awesome. Queso fundido was awesome! Food good. Only complaint is chips have colored dye in them! Recommend getting plain corn chips. They don’t make tortillas, but should!

This restaurant was fantastic. Friendly staff, yummy salsa and my favorite, the xochimilco margarita. Served in a shaker and made with fresh ingredients — it was the best margarita I’ve ever had! We also ordered supreme nachos, a taco salad and the arroz con pollo(which was delicious). So excited to go back! It was pretty busy and it took a few for us to get served but it was totally worth it.

This is our favorite Mexican place to go in town! The food is delicious(I recommend the chicken macho burrito, it’s enough for 2 people). The drinks are huge and amazing! Great service, very friendly people. Love the atmosphere!

We came here last night for a «farewell to Yakima» dinner. After 22 years, we are moving the family to Colorado. What an amazing way to conclude an important chapter in our lives. I’ve searched around the country for good Mole. I thought I had found the best in Sante Fe, but the Mole Oaxaqueno from Xochimilco is probably the best I’ve had outside of Pueblo and Oaxaca in Mexico. The spicing is perfect and has the important feature of lingering and changing flavors as your taste buds absorb the creativity of the chef. My brother had the Molcajete, which are similar to fajitas that come out in a sizzling hot lava rock bowl. The cactus adds a sweetness to counterbalance the perfectly seasoned and spiced steak strips. The chips and salsa are dangerously delicious, try not to fill up on the spicy salsa and fresh guacamole. The margaritas are fantastic, but I can never turn down a Yakima Brewing Top Cutter(Alto Cortado!) on draft. The staple fare is just that, staple fare. If you really want to test the culinary talent of the cooks at Xochimilco, ask your server for his or her favorite dish. You cannot go wrong.

Good food and drinks! Nice atmosphere in a really cute building. We are visiting from Tacoma and have a place similar to this at home… The staff is friendly and service is fast. The portions are HUGE– including drinks!

The margaritas definately pack a punch, part of one and I informed my husband that he would be driving us home. His drink was the red wine sangria, which he enjoyed. +1 The chips were hot and fresh but not greasy, +1. I selected the mole enchiladas. The mole sauce was both spicier(hotter) than other moles, and chunkier. Moles I’ve had in Peubla were smoother and not as hot. It was packed with chicken, no skimping here. +1 My husband ordered the camerones diablo. He said if the corn tortillas weren’t made in house, they were made close by and today they were that fresh. His dinner was so good he ate almost every bite off of a huge plate. +1. Service was friendly and speedy. +1

The service was prompt and friendly. I love the look of the restaurant. The tall tables look like a fun place to sit. I don’t think it would be great for a HUGE party. They had some really awesome appetizers. The Mexican mocajete is a must! My margarita was delicious and hey brought a shaker so I could fill it. We all left full and happy.

Prefer this location to their Nob Hill one. They make a great traditional margarita and their mole is really good.

Beautiful restaurant with relaxing and classy environment. Food was delicious. A little pricer than other Mexican restaurants in the area but worth the extra buck or two. Got the enchilada and two taco meal and was stuffed afterwards. Need to go back and try out the huge collection of tequilas.
