Chicken satay was tender and flavorful. Pad thai and beef noodle soup were both good. They spice down for the area so if you like spicy ask for 5 star :) full menu is here:

It’s our first trip to Cape Cod and so glad we found this restaurant. After having so much amazing seafood for a couple of days we decided to have a American seafood timeout. Basil Thai was a great fit. Their fried rice is the best I’ve tasted in the east coast. The service was quick and pleasant for a take out order. I can tell the other patrons were enjoying their meals as well when I came to pick up our food. We also had the chicken satay, red curry, and steamed dumplings. My family will definitely come back here again before our trip ends this week.

I really enjoyed the food here. I ended up getting take out and it was super fast. I got the Spicy Pad Thai and Tom Kha soup. The Pad Thai was pretty good, but maybe a little less sauce and a tad bit more spicy. The soup was probably the best I’ve ever had, super flavorful. I would definitely recommend if you’re on the Cape!

We have eaten there four times and each time it was very good. My favorite meal is the Red Curry with shrimp. The shrimp are always very flavorful and delicious. You can order the curry on a hotness scale of one to five, five being the hottest. I like spicy, but played it safe by ordering spice level three, which was a good thing… the dish was perfectly spicy and so darn good! Tonight I had a bowl of wonton soup, which was the best I have ever had. A bargain at $ 3.95. My husband had the Crispy Pad Thai, which he said was wonderful. The spring rolls are great, but the peanut sauce that comes with them is not so great. It’s thick and pasty. The waiter is an odd ball. He never smiles and sometimes seems very displeased. For instance, I asked him to leave the glass cover on the dish of Red Curry so it would stay hot and he acted as if I was asking for the moon. He is efficient and a good waiter, just not very friendly. This place is our favorite Thai place. We used to go to Pocasset for good Thai… now it’s easy and affordable to dine locally. Just so you know, this place is in a divey run down mini strip mall. Once you get inside you will see that the dining area is very clean and well kept.

This thai food is pretty amazing. I always try something new here and am never disappointed. There are a lot of thai places on Cape Cod and especially in this area but this is by-far my favorite.

Wasn’t expecting cape cod to have good Thai food, but I was wrong. Their pad Thai was incredibly fresh and tasted better than some Thai places in NYC. Also, their take on scallion pancakes were really impressive. Nice place in Yarmouth to check out if you enjoy Thai.

Great, fresh, affordable, friendly service in a clean restaurant with a great location with plenty of parking. That’s my definition of a five-star restaurant! If you’re in the mood for a good Thai food I would recommend you check out here!

Charming! Fresh«yammy«food. Love the family owned and operated environment. Their soups and crab Rangoon are my favorite. My family loves their fried rice. Perfect for a casual intimate dinner date. Just don’t forget to bring your own wine. i also notice the high traffic for pick up order.

Probably the worst«Thai» I have ever tasted. Not authentic, tasted more like Chinese food. The appetizer was cold inside. My entrée, noodles on the beach was decent enough.

This is the best place thai place I’ve seen on the cape. I’m relatively inexperienced with thai food but I know that this place tastes good, has good portions, good prices and friendly staff!

I love this Thai restaurant! Having travelled to Thailand and eaten my way all over the country, this restaurant gives it best effort. They make delicious American/Thai offerings, with the freshest ingredents at the best price. The restaurant is clean, the staff is very friendly and the food is always nourishing.

My girlfriend and I were up in Yarmouth on vacation the weekend the Hokies beat Ohio State in football, thus causing me to get really excited for VT’s season until we lost the following two weeks, but hell beating Ohio State was fun! We walked by this place our first night there and it caught both of our attention in a little rundown POS strip mall. 9⁄8 we decided to have a nice night in and order take-out from this place. We order the chicken satay and both got panang curry. I ordered mine spicy as hell, the woman ordered hers the opposite of that. I walked into the place and the size of it made me think«Aww yeah, this is just a little hole-in-the-wall which means the food is probably going to be outstanding. Upon returning to our condo we realized something: This food was not going to be outstanding. My woman opened up the peanut sauce for the satay and was greeted with some wonderful looking mold. I bit into the chicken and, I can’t describe the taste, but it was not good. We then dove into our panang thinking«well, this has to be better than that right?» WRONG! My panang was about as spicy as a glass of milk and as thick as water. The taste of it wasn’t too great either. I ordered shrimp and chicken in mine, the chicken was dry as the desert and the shrimp was that nasty kinda of cooked-for-forty-minutes-too-long texture. The woman’s dish(I think she got tofu which is gross enough of it’s own) was equally as bad. We tried hard to muscle through but to no avail, after a while of sitting there I started to feel like I look(not good) and my girlfriend decided to give the place a call. The people on the phone were really nice and said they’d refund half, which seemed okay to us since we technically ate about half, and that was that. The next day or two we noticed the bank account had the full $ 40-ish refunded. It’s too bad, we both really like Thai and really wanted to like this place especially after reading the other reviews but our experience with the food texture and taste was terrible. On the plus, what everyone says about the people being nice is 100% true, they couldn’t not have been kinder. This place clearly was having an off night, maybe we’ll give it a shot next time we’re up that way on vacation and hopefully I’ll be able to write a more positive review. Remember when the Hokies beat Ohio State? I’m pretty sure I turned everyone in Yarmouth into a Tech fan that night.

Great place. Service was as good as the food! I ordered pad see ew and my friend ordered drunken chicken. Although I didn’t try his, he said my noodles were better. But, he’s a picky eater, so I wouldn’t go by that. My food was great. The level of spiciness just as I asked and the flavors bursting at every bite. The appetizers were different than anything I’ve had a Thai place before, but they were delicious. The golden sacks were filled with corn and ground chicken, served with a sweet chili sauce. I couldn’t tell you what the crazy rolls had in them, suffice to say they were crazy good, ha. Go there. Eat. Enjoy.

If you like Thai, don’t overlook this stunning gem. The atmosphere isn’t over the top and you’ll need to look past the obviously run down buildings surrounding it but the food was spectacular. I came here with two of my friends and we all ordered different meals and appetizers. One of our party even ordered the sticky rice with Mango for dessert. We all ordered our own appetizer. I got the chicken satay. It was amazing. I shared some with my friends. For dinner we all ordered different entre’s. I got Massamun Curry and it was fantastic. Colorful, fresh and piping hot. I’m posting a picture. We all tried a taste of the dessert and it was delicious. The service was appropriately attentive and made sure we had whatever we needed whenever we needed it. If you love Thai, go to the Basil Thai in South Yarmouth. You will not be disappointed. Note: loved it so much we went back 2 days later with the rest of our party and they were amazed with the flavors provided. I tried another entre, Boston chicken, and shared a scallion pancake appetizer. Both were served piping hot and both tasted fantastic. The rest of the gang enjoyed their meals just as much as we did.

Fair variety menu reasonably priced for the area. Should visit if staying in cape cod for any length of stay due to change of pace and different flavor profile offered. Overall 3.5* Fried dumplings 3* tasted like store bought but nicely crispened. Thai rolls for us were 1*, undercooked and the raw covering taste imparted an unpleasant flavor. Curry triangles 4.5*, crispy, tasty, yummy and were free samples Chicken satay 4* well cooked and seasoned, peanut sauce could use come authentic Thai flavor Tom kha 4* not too heavy not too light. Nice coconut flavor and sweetness Crispy pad that 5* like nothing we’ve tasted before yet makes so much sense; crispy thin egg noodles mixed with pad Thai flavoring and appropriate seasoning. Chicken slightly overdone and definitely underseasoned and dry. Crispy squid dish 3* over salted. But nicely balanced with vegetables. Comes with rice Sticky rice with mango 3* slightly over sticky and sweet with under ripened mango, but fit the bill for dessert. Service 4* very pleasant server who forgot some orders, but seemed genuinely helpful and happy. Happy they gave us a free sample. I couldn’t help being distracted however by the unsightly stain on the tablecloth left by another diner. Maybe they should opt for darker tablecloths if they’re not going to change table cloths between meals.

Basil Thai features home cooked food cooked to order. wonderful service, very laid back… chill Thai place… Be aware, food comes out as it’s prepared so not everyone can eat at the same time. If you share food, it will work well. BYOB
