Yep, stay far away!!! I bought a gift certificate from because we live nearby. We were the only ones there on a Thursday night for dinner. The menu is printed on one piece of paper with few options. The dinner rolls were the pillsbury from the tube type rolls deep fried. Gross! I ordered the chicken($ 13.50!) with stuffing and gravy and it was terrible! The chicken was overcooked, the stuffing was stove top and the gravy was straight from the jar. My husband had the fish and chips which wasn’t worth $ 13. When I told the owner that we had a gift certificate and the information was on my phone(all he has to do is take down the certificate number and phone number), he was extremely annoyed. After our $ 15 gift certificate, our meal still ended up costing $ 30! What a waste! The menu I saw on reflected cheaper prices but that isn’t the menu they use now. Save your money and spend it on a hungryman!!!

Love this place. The owner isn’t the most verbose, but he does take gift certificates, happily. Good homemade food and a great atmosphere!

Stay far away! I walked in and the bartender looked at me as though I had just walked into his house without knocking. When I asked if they serve lunch he said, «That’s why I’m here.» So I asked for a menu and he begrudgingly gave me one. Then I showed him a $ 10 gift certificate that I had from for the Deer Run Tavern and here’s how the exchange went: Him:(tossing it onto the counter) «We don’t take those.» Me: «Didn’t you partner with them?» Him: «We don’t take those.» Me: «What do you mean, ‘you don’t take these?’» Him: «You didn’t buy it for me did you?» Me: «No. It was a gift. Him: «Well, I don’t know what to tell you — we don’t take those.» The guy was a complete A-hole — he has absolutely no customer service skills and seemed genuinely annoyed that I was even there — stay as far away as you can, especially if you’re a tourist — I’m from Maine and I would hate for those of you from away to think this is how we all behave!

Nestled in the heart of Yarmouth Village this little bar is a great spot for a beer and light fair. Food: The fries and onion rings are made on site. Hunt’s ketchup — so bring your Heinz with you. Bottom Line: Great in a pinch and the PBR is always cold!
