Service. Absolutely the worst service I have encountered going back home to enjoy great food from local restaurants/bars. The older lady/manager…, I literally don’t know or understand why she has a job there. The rudest most unhappy grouch and she absolutely ruined the whole peaches experience for me. I will never go back. Had a group of 13 and none of them will go back either. Oh and to top off the horrible service, they add an 18% gratuity on a party of 5 or more, and as one fella who joined us for the last few minutes of our dining experience said«they’re pretty proud of themselves aren’t they». Super sad to not get to enjoy their fabulous food but will not ever be treated in such a poor fashion again! –ticked off in West Virginia

Wow! Loved Peaches. We hadn’t been there in several years. I was worried after reading some of the reviews that the atmosphere and friendliness of Peaches had changed. Not to worry. We entered through the back door and proceeded to the front of the restaurant to check in with the hostess. Doug, the bartender, although he may not have remembered our names, greeted us with a resounding«Welcome to Peaches». Makes one feel like they have returned home. There were eight in our party and we were seated shortly after arriving. The server was quick to welcome us and took our drink orders. Our food order followed shortly. Again, Wow! The food was great. We shared appetizers and enjoyed a variety of foods. I think we all took leftovers home. There was just too much food to eat in one sitting. We have company from Oregon coming to visit in July. We plan on a trip to Yellowsprings and Peaches while they are here. Sorry Peaches, dessert will be at Young’s. Our company has two young children so a stop at Young’s is a must for them.

3 because I like the atmosphere, and the beers are amazing :) I have eaten here 10 times however, and the food is all either frozen or canned. Tonight after a long absence, I tried the chicken parm. Canned chicken, tomato sauce with no spice. The Ciabata was good, as we’re the fries but damn I’m tired of crappy food. The chili burger I’ve had here was a frozen beef patty with canned chili. Someone please tell me a signature homemade dish that they’ve actually put some effort into and I’ll try it. The staff was great as well btw. Just watch triple D once for god sake!

This is one of the best bars around, and the best bar food around. Peaches is a great spot in the heart of Yellow Spings. They have great out door sitting and a great inside sitting area as well. During the day it’s a great place to get a good bite to eat and a good beer from there great extensive selection. You are walking distance of everything in Yellow Spings and you will not be disappointed if you make a stop in.

Peaches leaves a lot to be desired. The food is basic, burgers and sandwiches. Its not bad but I’ve had better for the price. The loaded nachos are the only thing I recommend. They also have a decent beer selection. My big issue has been with service. I feel like the staff would rather be anywhere else. On one memorable occasion it was dead inside and our server was making out with her very hands on boyfriend at the other end of the dining hall. Come for the drinks and the entertainment but make your way elsewhere for food.

Took my family to Peach’s for lunch on a Friday and when we walked in they all threw me that shady side-glance like«You want to spend time in HERE?» First let me say, Peach’s is a little dark and divey for lunch. It’s more of a dinner/bar setting, but whatever — I’ll assume you’re not some hoity toity elitist so it shouldn’t matter. Secondly, the Spicy Brown Sugar Wings were awesome, definitely worth trying. I ordered the Pesto Grilled Cheese w/a slice of tomato and a bowl of Basil and Tomato Soup. Lots of good flavors going on here. Finally, our server, Bill is what MADE this experience. He was working the entire room, and moving fast to give everyone his full attention whenever they needed him. He totally loves his job and made the whole family feel super welcome. I really wanted to show my family what a charming town Yellow Springs is and they definitely got that impression out of this experience.

It makes me very sad to write this review, but I believe it’s important for the people of the area and those considering visiting Peach’s to know what sort of establishment they are supporting. I’ve been going to shows at Peach’s for years. Many local YS and Ohio artists stop and play at their stage and often there is a pretty good turn out. For me, I’ve always had a fairly fond view of Peach’s until recently. My 21st birthday was a few weeks ago and I decided Peach’s would be the ideal bar to celebrate with friends at midnight, a Sunday night. A few of my friends came from out of town for the celebration and it was joyous until we got to Peach’s. Now, let me start off by saying that two members of our group were under 21 and were not going to use fake IDs to drink, but just be there to share the excitement with me as my close friends. I called earlier in the week and SPECIFICALLY asked if people under 21 could be in the building and not drinking on a Sunday night. I was told that was fine. When we arrived around 11:30pm, we were immediately were confronted by Doug, a bartender at Peach’s. If you’ve read other reviews on Unilocal, you’ll see there is a trend in 1-star reviews concerning this one bartender. He asked to see everyone’s IDs and after explaining the situation and saying I originally called earlier, I kindly asked if he could he «X» the two underaged people’s hands so there would be no chance of them drinking alcohol in the restaurant. Let me also point out that there were literally 5 – 10 in the place at this point, most of them sitting at the tables. This is the point where Doug got very cold, told us we had to leave. He used a very passive aggressive technique that was extremely rude and completely unprofessional. He also, while talking to me, creepily stared at my chest and outfit, which was borderline sexual harassment. As someone who has worked as a similar place as Peach’s, it was frankly shocking that he found that it was acceptable to treat customers in such a manner. As told, we left the building and went outside to wait for others coming and to figure out what the plan would be. My underage friends decided they would just wait for us in their cars and then meet us after midnight. While we were discussing, Doug came out and proceeded to harass us, saying that people under 21 could not be near the premises. Now, this is the key reason why I write this review. I’ve investigated the legal implications he was expressing and NONE are true. He was genuinely doing all of this just to be a shitty person. It’s quite upsetting that a place like Yellow Springs accepts this sort of hostility and it’s extremely disappointing that Peach’s continues to keep someone like Doug on staff when there are so many great servers and bartenders there that are weighed down by him.

To call the food«subpar» is probably a compliment. The fries were reasonably good. But my son’s pizza was terrible. It looked like the old frozen pizzas that one would find in the clearance section of the grocery store. This child, who eats almost anything, refused to eat more than a few bites, and I had to cajole him to get him that far. The other food looked like it came out of pre-prepared meals. It was edible but not particularly tasty and certainly not worth the rather inflated prices($ 10-$ 14 per sandwich; $ 6.99 for a kids meal) they were charging for such fare.

Have been here twice. Good food and great fried pickles. Just enough spice to give them a little kick

Can’t go to Yellow Springs without a stop at Peach’s! The beer selection is extensive, and the food is excellent. There is no better place for people watching, either! Whether dressed for the evening or stepping off the bike trail, you will always feel at home here.

Significant service issues in Saturday, March 21st. I’ll just cut to the chase, if you don’t mind: we waited about 20 minutes to be seated, had our drink orders taken, then waited another 10 – 12 minutes before our server(J*cquel*né) came back to see us for our food orders. We were seated in such a way that I could see the pass and I recognized our orders when they hit the window — where they met their demises. That’s right, our food died at the pass. The food sat in the window for about 15 minutes! Our server disappeared and didn’t bring our food to us — the manager and another srver finally did. All orders should have been refired(and the offer was made when I brought this to the runner’s attention), but my kids were too embarrassed to ask. They remade my wife’s and mine, and the quality was fine. I was(and still am) a little upset when, after all of the waiting, after the additional waiting, and the poor service that no offer to comp any part of the meal was made. I spent over $ 70 that night, including a bar tab while we were waiting to be seated, and I really feel that I should have received something beyond a sad smile and a head tilt as compensation(take the drinks off, at least). It’ll be a while before we return, and when we do, we won’t have J*cquel*né as our server.

This place is okay. I’ve been here twice, super crowded with local hippies on the weekend. Slow service, yet food is pretty decent. When we went to see a reggae band and waited hours for them to play… they couldn’t get the speakers to work. Therefore there was no band and people were drunk and upset. There was a fight out back of the resturant. Will not be back. Too crowded with kids.

The only reason regulars go to this place is because of the staff. I just got charged $ 5.50 for ONECAN of beer which cost $ 10 for a six-pack. Under that logic, they should charge about $ 4.85 for a bottle of Budweiser. $ 5.50 for something that only costs $ 10 for a six-pack… really?! They are a tourist place but I won’t be back regardless of some of the great staff.

The food is average. Some of the sides aren’t made in house. A little pricey too! The pita chips are amazing! But I would like to pay a little less for them if they gave me half the amount of bread. It’s a huge portion for an appetizer and the amount of sauce they give you does not match it appropriates! Good beer selection and good vibes!

I am a former Yellow Springs resident who no longer fears reprisal from an awful, vindictive establishment, as such, this is my honest, fair-minded, and thoroughly experienced review. Walking into the dark, dank pit of Peach’s is like revisiting the back alley where you were mugged by a fat middle-aged man who still wanted a tip after stealing your money. The people who give this place positive reviews must either be culinary masochists, or hipsters who enjoy bad food ironically. There’s nothing Peach’s does that Applebee’s doesn’t, and for five dollars more. You want a burger cooked to medium? Sure. Well done. Medium rare? Well done. A restaurant that can’t cook a burger to temp should shutter like a condemned building. Unfortunately, because it’s the only place that serves alcohol past 1 am and the most visible restaurant in Yellow Springs, it’s allowed to survive like a coma patient on life support. All of this might be forgiven if the bartender Doug wasn’t at the helm. Dismissive, rude, and unappreciative of customers with male genitalia, Doug has well-earned the reputation of the most hated man in Yellow Springs. Facebook pages with hundreds of likes have been started demanding he be fired. It’s too bad the owners think of him like family(think Manson family) and refuse to listen to any criticisms of him. Since most of their business comes from tourists they don’t have to worry about coming back, Doug is allowed to be an unmitigated a-hole to anyone he deems unworthy of the glory of Peach’s. Here was my first encounter with Doug: My girlfriend asked him what a particular IPA was like and he responded with a patronizing«It’s an IPA.» No offer for a sample, no description, no report of whether people seemed to like it or not. This is the kind of service you can expect from someone who acts like his position of bartender at Peach’s makes him de facto Mayor of Yellow Springs. Being one of the few restaurants and bars in Yellow Springs, I tried to establish a friendly relationship with Doug. I always tipped him well(above 20%) and was polite and always pre-bussed my table(a habit from being a server of many years.) Despite this, he has always treated me like a hooligan. In my whole life, I’ve never known someone who was so disliked and for such good reasons. There’s a chance if you fit into a demographic he finds appealing, he might seem to be a nice guy. But if you don’t, all the pleasantries and good tips wont keep you from being treated like a homeless wino dancing for nickels. If all of this wont dissuade you from going to Peach’s, Lord help you, you’ve been warned. But if you’re in Yellow Springs for the day and looking for a bite to eat, go to Sunrise or the Winds. A restaurant as bad and poorly run as Peach’s only makes sense in this Twilight Zone town. But you don’t have to take my word for it, just ask almost any resident what they think about Peach’s and Doug, and you’ll hear stories that sound like they should be narrated by Rod Serling.

Good food and terrible cocktails. If you like yummy food but are looking for a drink like a Long Island ice tea that isn’t filled to the brim with soda you’re in the wrong place. The atmosphere is a little loud at times but all in all its fair. The service is usually great during the day but at night the bar staff can be lacking. I watched them pour a really weak drink for me that was a spritz of vodka and a glass full of tonic. I asked nicely for a little more vodka as the drink was not cheap. The bartender did so but said that’s their pour! I’ll be back for sure as I almost always have a great time. Would love to see the Rubi Girls come back!!!

You’ll probably have to wait for a table any time you come here on a weekend, and I’d keep a watch on the door staff as that I’ve been lost in the shuffle a couple times. This is yellow springs, things operate on a little bit looser time schedule here, adjust to it. The patio fills up quickly. The interior is dark and very bar/music venue centred. The beer selection is fairly good with quite a few craft beers available. There are 2 bars, one of which is usually reserved for busy times and nights where bands are playing. The menu is fairly standard bar food with a few Mexican items added on. I enjoy the Atomic Burger and the Shroom Burger quite a bit. The«Chuck Sauce» is pretty much a buffalo sauce, but it has some special addition that differentiates it enough to be unique. Definitely a good option when you’re coming out of one of the parks from a hike or stopping off while biking. Bar service can be a bit brusque, but I think that’s just their style.

This is a really awesome bar and grill! We wanted to watch the Football game and they have a good amount of huge screens. The bar was pretty open and the bartender waited on us right away. I noticed that there was another small bar on the other side. I really like the selections of beers. You can sample them before you get a pint. Nice crowd, clean and excellent customer service. We did not eat lunch, however got an appetizer. Got the Spicy Hummus plate with flatbread. Very delicious! There are a variety of great places in Yellow Springs to eat, this is one of my favorites. The bathrooms are also clean. Located near the bike trail.

Once again, it all depends on when you go(in our case, a GORGEOUS, late summer afternoon @ 2pm) and what your expectations are. As previously mentioned, we tend to go to «crazy youngun» nightlife spots at off hours, NOT because we’re even CLOSE to old farts, but… oh well, you know… wink, wink! DON’T be scared off by lesser than«perfect» service reviews, and if you want«le gourmet deluxe,» this comfy spot might not be the place for you, but there definitely is something for ALMOST everyone here in Yellow Springs. On this particular afternoon, we had an amazingly short wait to be seated(no wait for inside seats, and our outside seats were ready before we were halfway done w/our beers from the HUGE selection @ the bar!!) and suuuuper fast service(the waitress almost didn’t give us enough time to browse the VERY eclectic menu!!) Yummy veg. and meat options, lots of interesting looking apps., burgers, sandwiches, salads, wraps and Mexican-style choices. I’m not strictly vegetarian(I’m the Mrs. of Mr. M&P!!!) but look for good, healthy(not a mysterious green pile of stuff covered in cheese…) choices when I’m out, and my Green Man Wrap with a side of heirloom potatoes(regular, sweet, and purple) were two fine choices. I thought Mr. M&P would go for one of the interesting sounding burgers, but he went for chicken tenders(go figure!) and kettle chips, and it was such a large portion, he didn’t even finish them… We enjoyed our lunch, and plan to go back again SOON!!! Great service, excellent food, and people watching outside on the patio a big bonus! Can’t ask for more!!!
