Pug arrived. Built business up. He left. It died. If you are missing his mastery of mixology, visit him at Thornwood Ale House Friday and Saturday.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVETHISPLACE. The bartenders are really nice, as far as drinks are concerned you defenitely get your money’s worth, the music is great, and although it’s on mclean ave surrounded by tons of pubs, it sort of gives you an nyc feel which is a plus because I love the city. Whether is full or completely empty and you and your friend are the only ones at the bar, it’s a great place to hang out. You’ll defenitely catch me there on weekends it’s a great spot to unwind!

Stopped in with my BFF on Saturday around 9ish. The place was completely empty because apparently 9ish on a Saturday is still too early for adults to have a cocktail. Good, more comfy seats by the window for me. The incredibly nice bartender brought us lemon mojitos, yum. Then I had the regular mojito which was also good but after the lemon one just seemed not as great. Not that it wasn’t, I was just really feeling the lemon one. Also, they had a good kick to them. The place is a nice change from the slew of pubs on McLean. Downtown nyc feel, all red walls and original tin cielings, good eclectic music at a volume that allowed for conversation. It was beginning to fill up as we left… like I said, younger grown ups go out much later than old timers like me on a Saturday night. Now that I live in the hood, I’ll definitely be going often. Mmmmm, lemon mojito.

I am new to the area and was looking for a different scene from the packed, loud, and abrasive bars in the area. Frog suits that perfectly. They have a good selection of beers and my friends loved the martinis. Cool music and plenty of parking, too.

I don’t know that much about Yonkers but this cute little lounge was a breath of fresh air for a Manhattanite. My boyfriend and I got seats at the bar, but the place was packed the whole time. They kept the front door open and there were a ton of smokers hanging out there which was annoying. The male bartender hardly put any alcohol in the drinks, my vodka sprite was literally just sprite. The girls was awesome though, she made up for our weak drinks plus some! Also, why this place is called«frog» I have no idea.

In a neighborhood filled with traditional Irish pubs, Frog stands out as a beacon to those who enjoy dark corners and tasty cocktails. Just a few minutes walk away from my apartment, Frog provides a refuge from the loud drunk, sports-watching crowds so common along McLean Avenue. A great place to relax at the bar and listen to fun inde tunes and strike up a converstaion with the fanastically fun bartender. Reasonable Yonkers prices along with a lounge environment you’d typically find on LES. Heaven.
