I recently had a party for my 9 year old daughter at Sur La Table in Yonkers. Chef Karyn is terrific and kept things moving to keep the girls engaged. She is so friendly and outgoing, putting the kids at ease with the project. In 2 hours, the girls made an entire meal, including fresh pasta and cupcakes. I would recommend this location for kids parties in a heartbeat, be sure to ask for Chef Karyn!

This was the first time I’ve done cooking classes but I will say me and my fiancé will be back very soon. The instructor was amazing and personable. and the food was super good. Really impressed with this place. I’m a big foodie so I was really happy when the food I made turned out amazing.

If customer service is your pet peeve, then skip this store. Staff are miserable and have no clue how to treat customers. The dude with the guitar is ridiculous. Hes into his guitar more than helping customers with their bags. I bought over 800bucks worth of stuff at 1 go and instead of helping me with my bags, he was busy hugging his stupid guitar n wouldnt even atleast hold the door for me. I think they have pretty cool stuff most of which are over priced definitely. But its real good to be buying stuff not made in china! My mortar and pestle, used it onceand it chipped the whole portion on the bottom. The ceramic knife i bought which was very sharp, just broke into pieces after the 3rd use. I was kinda shocked and disappointed at the same time. Well from the way it looks, if they keep it up, they probably be looking for a job by end of the end. Smh. Definitely not cominh back. Ill take my money elsewhere.

Customer service? The woman behind the desk didn’t even acknowledge us. When she completed our transaction I commented«have a better day» and got a dirty look. No words from her were ever exchanged.

I enjoyed being consumer racially profiled here because i walked in wearing jean shorts accompanied by my semi-dark skinned wife. We’ve been looking for a perfect coffee machine forever and wanted to check this place out because it seemed like it would have a great selection, and it does, however, it seems that we didn’t fit the requirements for their clientele. We walked in and were completely ignored by the staff and were also stared at by security the entire time. We were there for a good five minutes when we walked by the area where they have the coffee/espresso machines. We stood there for about a minute, the lady making espressos looked at us about three or four times, said nothing, so we walked away. An older white gentleman walks by, doesn’t even stop and she’s nearly jumping over the table for his attention«DOYOUWANT A CAPPUCCINOORESPRESSO??». At that point, we just left the store to take our business elsewhere. Whether the other stores in NY are like this, I have no clue, but I wouldn’t even acknowledge the existence of this specific location anymore. The job of a customer service representative is to give the customer a fantastic experience whether you believe they can afford the products or not. You never know who is shopping there and how much someone makes based off their looks(my old boss is a millionaire and walked around in dirty pants and socks with holes). And yes, I could have purchased any number of items there because I am fortunate enough to have a really decent job but I will make that purchase elsewhere where people aren’t bigots. There are no price tags on class.

LOVE this place! Absolutely no pressure to buy anything despite the very attentive service, but somehow in the past year I’ve acquired a Vitamix blender and came home with a Cuisinart ice cream maker last night. Quality inventory. Sign up for their email blasts to notify you of their specials. This weekend was their Memorial weekend ice cream social complete with tastings, and thus my new ice cream maker(on sale)! Just wish they would validate parking…
