I bring scrap gold to Billy 2 – 3 times a year from my auction business(I don’t sell gold/jewelry at auction). He’s always given me an honest appraisal and fair price. Old fashioned, family run, neighborhood store. The store is clean and the team is professional and courteous. I walked in Saturday afternoon around 2pm with a small zip lock of gold scrap, a bag of unlabeled gold and a high end item. I walked out 15 minutes later with cash, an acid test on all my unlabeled scrap(actually found gold) and an honest offer on my 18k item. They’re the only jewelers I trust and I’m 10 years in the auction business.

I went there to get two watches repaired and while I was paying for the repair I saw they had a HUGE selection of Alex and Ani bracelets. I could not resist and I brought 2 Alex and Ani bracelets lol… I will definitely be returning :)

You know, I’ve heard horror stories about jewelers and how people get ripped off unless its one of those chain stores. Not here. A small but reputable business, you can allay your fears. Billy and his staff will work with you and give you the fairest shake in the business, be it purchase or repairs. They know their stuff and know how to treat customers. I’ve never purchased anything here that was less than spectacular with service to match. Any time I need repairs or cleaning, I ONLY go here, as I have built trust and reliability with this store for past seven years. In fact, I just purchased my wife’s birthday gift here, scoring a beautiful watch at a beautiful price. I recommend friends and family here constantly. If you have ever had a negative experience here, you may just be a negative person.

Don’t bring your gold here. I brought a beautiful, one of a kind, vintage 14k solid gold Movado watch in mint condition with 10 brilliant cut diamonds with an appraisal I had gotten just the day before at a local jeweler for $ 4950. The watch weighed over 26 grams of solid 14k gold and has about a ct. of VS D-F diamonds. The girl behind the counter took my watch to her boss, who was in his office. That was the first thing I didn’t like. You are supposed to appraise it and look at the item it in front of the customer. She came back with an offer of $ 400. Don’t think I was expecting any where near $ 4950. However I was expecting an offer that at the very least covered the scrap gold. This is not a scrap piece by any means and has received other offers at pawn shops much higher than this. No thanks!
