Good food, plus they’ve added on some new items to enjoy. But the service, particularly my server Nicholas, was EXCELLENT. Very attentive, patient, and all around just good customer service skills. I will gladly return just for the type of service he, and it appears the others, provide. Kudos

Dis my favorite place to eat. I like to order pancakes, biscuts, french fries, mashed potatoes, loaded potatoes and hash browns. #favmeal

This is one of my favorite places for a nice cheap meal. Depends on what waitress or waiter you get, if they’re nice or not. There’s one older lady who is always mean. When going to check out to pay your bill there is ALWAYS a line, no matter what time you go, and there are people standing around but they never hop on register to help get the lines down.

The Food is the usual Cracker Barrel fair so if you’re into CB, they won’t let you down. The thing that lets this location down is service. I’ve been a few times and it seems that during the week the service is ok, but on a Saturday… Forget about it. This might be the case in just about all restaurants on the weekend so I can give them a pass. But it’s the little things that was missed that bothered me. Things like no refill on my coffee, or the missing waitress when you’re ready to go. I feel that this has happened at least twice here where once we get our food they’re done with us. Highlight is that the cashiers are always very friend.

04/19/2016. WARNING! Don’t EVER order their salmon cakes! My daughter and I each ordered a limited time salmon cake dinner. They were just awful. They looked like little pancakes the size of small thin hamburger patties burned on both sides. We had an awful time cutting through them with a fork. I’ve never seen anything like them in my life(66 years). We went shopping afterward and I’m home now and I can still taste them. They looked good in the menu picture and the description sounded correct but they just tasted like charcoal. As usual they didn’t give us refills of ice tea and no ketchup for the fries. Usually you have to ask for tartar sauce when fish is ordered but it came automatically with these salmon cakes even though it doesn’t usually go with them. Next week I’m going to make my own salmon cakes. It’s simple and they taste delicious. I’ll say it again: someone at Cracker Barrel doesn’t know how to cook because I can make most of their meals better than they can and I’m just s retired factory worker. My stomach is burning… 04/20/2016. Woke up in the middle of the night thinking about Cracker Barrel. It seems like a nice place but for some reason they lack cooking knowledge. I wish I could just go there and show them what is wrong.

I love coming here for the ribeye. The platter comes with three sides. I usually get a side salad with ranch dressing,(the ranch is one of the best tasting I’ve ever had), broccoli and another vegetable. The ribeye is always cooked right. It is flavorful and it’s so good I don’t even need to use steak sauce. Easy to cut and just falls apart in your mouth. The broccoli is great. I don’t know what they do to it other than steam it but squeeze the lemon to use the juice and the broccoli is very tasty and good. The service is always good. Our server was polite, attentive and accommodating. If you are craving comfort food at a reasonable price give this place a try. Thanks for reading my review. This review is based off of my personal opinion and experience.

Slowest server ever. Telling each of her tables her life story. But the worst part, THEYRANOUTOFGRITS. What, how does that happen. We’ll be back but disappointed this time.

Couldn’t believe how lesser my girlfriend and I were treated because we aren’t white looking people, isn’t it 2016? I’m half white half asian, my girlfriend has dark skin. We both enjoy food, cooking, and trying new places every week or so. My dad had told me how much he enjoyed the cracker barrel, this particulate establishment was the one he has gone to. So we decided to go for dinner. Cons: To start, we were seated at the only table without a lit lamp, we thought that was kinda funny but didn’t think there was a reason for it. We had to ask our server to refill our drinks, our server was very inattentive and short with us, always seemed to be wanting to go to another table(establishment wasn’t busy), missed part of my order, brought the check out before we could order dessert and of course didn’t ask if we were interested either. Now, we watched as the manager went around to every other table and asked them about their food and how they were doing. But completely avoided our table. The cashier was backed up and the manager wrung us out, he was very short with me, wouldn’t make eye contact until I stared at him as he handed me my receipt. I used to be a server, I know when someone is having a bad night and this wasn’t what was going on. We watched our server and the manager smiling and conversing with others while completely alienating us. The host was polite for the short time we interacted. Food was sub par, she ordered breakfast food and I ordered a mix of country style dishes. 2 things were good out of everything, the turnip greens which were flavorful and the turkey bacon, but that was it. Grits were the worst I’ve ever had, yes worse even than waffle house at 3am after a long night. Chicken and dumplings were bland, chicken tasted like it was boiled without any seasoning. The meatloaf was chewy, kinda stringy, and not at all like any consistency of meatloaf I’ve ever had. Fried okra was ok, bland for sure, but by southern standards it was cooked nicely. French toast was worse than I-Hop, cooked fine just bland and void of any nutmeg/cinnamon/vanilla. The scrambled eggs, I kid you not, some gooey yoke was visible. She didn’t eat most of her food but I hadn’t eaten since breakfast so I was quite hungry Pro’s: The place is clean, nicely decorated, the fireplace being lit gives you a nice warm feeling as you walk into the dining area and can smell it, the gift shop is quite nice. Conclusion: I will never dine at any cracker barrel again. I took my siblings and parents out for father’s day to cracker barrel when I was in High School years back to the one in Lancaster but thought it was just a fluke, how bad everything was. That was before I started going out to eat as an adult.

I’m not fond of most of their food. When I get their roast beef it’s all fat. When I get a chefs salad(whatever they call it) the turkey is fat and the ham is white. When I get chicken and dumplings some of the chicken doesn’t have the gristle removed(sickening and poor cooking). Their meat loaf and ground beef is full of by products. I like their fried sea water fish! On my last visit I ordered country ham. It wasn’t too good and later I had the worst diarrhea I have ever had in my life but it didn’t last long at all. They made the wrong meal for my guest so we had to wait a while. Not my favorite place!!!

The food was as good as always. Down home southern cookinh with the food that sticks to your ribs. Or ‘a minute om the lips, forever om the hips’ kinda of deal. The service was exceptionally good. My waiter was ever so patient and anticipated our needs. Unfortunately, I do not go to PA often. But, if I did… This would be my go to sppt.

Love hitting Cracker Barrel when on travel. Typical Cracker Barrel. Very clean. I went in the bathroom and someone was cleaning. I loved seeing she really took her time and cleaned thoroughly. Today I ordered the chef salad. First time ordering this entrée. Talk about a great helping of food! Everything was fresh and crisp. The turkey were NOT lunch meat but actually thick pieces of meat. The bacon is real bacon bits. Also has two deviled eggs. Delicious! Our waiter, Jonathan, was very attentive.

I don’t get Cracker Barrel. I can’t for the life of me figure out why people eat there. Is it the kitch, is it the flair, is it the décor? It cannot be the food. People are always surprised that I don’t like to eat here, but I have never had a good meal there. I have been to CB a total of 5 times in my life, and each time was«Meh». It fits my category of Food Trough Style Restaurants. They say the cuisine(and I use that term lightly), is comfort food. But, this food is less than comforting. My recent dish consisted of over-cooked sloppy eggs, grits that were like a brick, extremely salty bacon, and fruit cup that was a slime factory. The coffee is just plain awful, awful, awful! Discomfort food is more like it. Dark dining room, schlocky décor, overpriced Atlantic City style gift shops, and super-extra-mediocre food. I have found for the same price, for better tasting quality food, with a great cup of joe AND outside of the food trough chains… within great mom and pop, local dining venues. Hell, even Waffle House is better. But I continue to go, because my family likes it. They seem to love it. Still scratching my head why. Ick.

This is a typical Cracker Barrel, which has been in operation for about 20 years now. You enter through a gift shop with overpriced junk, where you can pass time if you have to wait for a table. The restaurant can get noisy at times but never so loud that you can’t enjoy your meal. I ate here last week and was impressed with the service I received. It didn’t take long at all for the food to come out. I got the chicken and dumplings, which is available with two or three sides. It didn’t look like much food on the plate when it was put in front of me, but looks can be deceiving, as was the case here. The food was all quite good and very filling, as well as reasonably priced. By the way, there are two menus on the table. One is for breakfast, which is served all day. I looked at the breakfast menu first without realizing it. Don’t get confused like I did!

I’ve never had a good experience here. Today topped it though: the eggs weren’t done, forgot the cheese, forgot the bacon, forgot the hashbrowns… Server filled coffee and never brought creamer even though asked too. She never brought refills that she said she would. The food came out the second time just as bad. Bacon wasn’t cooked it was actually raw.

This is a country themed restaurant with a pretty large gift store area that really helps pass the time if their is a wait to be seated. A brilliant idea really, but it does get crowded because the walkways in the gift store are fairly narrow. You can also wait outside on the front porch in one of the many, many rocking chairs and wait for your name to be called over the speaker. There is also hundreds of antiques suspended from the ceiling throughout the gift store and restaurant. The food here is always very good, and the prices are good too. You can expect a big dinner for around $ 10-$ 12. The fried apples are a favorite side dish of mine that are a true delicacy. They also serve perfectly delicious biscuits and cornbread with your dinner. I usually ask for the biscuits before the dinner which is how they use serve them before everyone kept filling up on the biscuits and couldn’t eat their dinners. I often see unexperienced waitors/waitresses here and I do think it gets kind of loud when the restaurant is pretty full. They also serve excellent breakfasts all day long, so It’s really a good place to go at any time.

How can you not come here when you’re on the east coast! My first time coming to a Cracker Barrel was last year in Connecticut! I was hooked on their pancakes! As I wanted to see where my bf grew up, he took me here.. .his first job in HS! I was so excited to eat the delicious buttermilk pancakes! Fluffy and oh so delicious! YUM! And their maple syrup, sweet and perfect! I don’t know how they make this delicious pancakes, but its like crack to me. I can’t get enough! Service was great and friendly. After eating, we walked and looked around the cute store. We ended up buy the old school cracker jacks!

I take my family to Cracker Barrel on special occasions because, that is they’re fist choice. We love the breakfast and they’re pancakes, farm house eggs and bacon, warm soft biscuits and special southern gravy. There are plenty of choices on the all of your menus to indulge in. We love your breakfast, lunch and dinners! Your atmospheric is warm and inviting and we feel just like being at home with my Grandma after church on a Sunday afternoon eating apple dumpling around our big farm house table… fun warm and cozy and you hate to leave! That is how my family feels a Cracker Barrel. Our home sweet home. I highly recommend it for anyone who lkes down home country cooking.

I am amazed at 31 years old I visit a Cracker Barrel for the first time ever. It was wildly unnerving to walk into a weird old-timey store situation before entering the restaurant, but at least the store provided some browsing while we waited for our table for two. It was brunch time on a Sunday, the place was filled to the brim yet our service was fast and friendly. The waitress even took the time to show us how to play the little peg game on the table. The breakfast menu was HUGE! They had a lo-carb section, which was great and made my breakfast choice easy. When the food arrived(quickly, too) it was tasty with big portions. I would definitely return for brunch here again… wish they had bloody mary’s or mimosa!

On a snowy Saturday My wife and I were looking for a place to eat breakfast. I mentioned that we hadn’t been to cracker barrel in a while so we stopped in. The wait was only a minute and we we seated and had our drinks right after that. The service was pretty standard and yet efficient with our food coming faster than I expected. The ordering was simple and everything was cooked well. After I took some pics the Manager came over to clear our plates and ask about our meal. I was pleased by the attention to detail and we shopped in the store for a few minutes before paying and heading out. The menu is very homestyle and tasty yet not too far out with the kind of stuff you might see at the diner too. We looked around and they had some nice items like stuffed animals for the kids and bottles of preserves and syrup along with a good variety of candles and scented lotions. I got a woodwick car air freshener with was called fireside and had a nice spicey aroma. I would come back since the service has always been good at this location and I haven’t ever had a bad meal. I do think the breakfast is their strong suit — and I am a breakfast fan.
