Highly disappointing, looked good, but… very bland. Eggroll should be called a cabbage roll thats really all that was in it, and one tiny shrimp. Had gotten the lunch specials, not with a visit.

Got take out there once and it was very good and fresh. Lots of food… great prices. especially on specials. My boss also got take out on another occasion. a seafood dish. and was very pleased also with quality and freshness. West York for some reason is a tough place to start up so I hope they do well. Not fancy but nice clean tables and eating area also. At the old Dairyqueen location if anyone is looking for a landmark.

King Chef opened recently in West York, PA and being a resident of the area and a big fan of Chinese food I had to try it out. I have now been there two times. The first experience: I had I placed the order over the phone for Singapore Street Noodles. I picked it up in person(no delivery unfortunately) and was shocked at the open air kitchen! The restaurant is set up so that you can see the entire process of the food being prepared and it was a breath of fresh air to see such a clean kitchen. The second time I was there I placed the order online for Kung Pow Chicken and Egg Foo Yung. The website allowed for super easy ordering from my iPhone which made me happy. Again when I arrived, the place was spotlessly clean and the staff was very nice. One more thing I really liked was they did not fill my take-away food bags with a million sauces, napkins and other things that go directly in the trash… they have a self service area stocked with sauces, chopsticks, napkins, fortune cookies and more. I grabbed what I wanted and didn’t have to feel bad about throwing away 40 soy sauce packets later on. The last thing I will say is this: The food tasted fresh and was good. I am used to super greasy(but super delicious and unhealthy) Chinese food from other local restaurants. King Chefs food may not have been as flavorful as other Chinese food I eat around here, but it tasted a lot more healthy and fresh,
