*** DON’T DOIT *** HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE&VAGRANTS !!! That damn HotWier(I spelled it wrong). I thought I’d get a good hotel room on the cheaps for the evening. I just needed to sleep for a few hours on my trip across country. I just drove 16 ½ hours straight… The hotel is located in the center of the city, directly across from the courthouse so I deemed it to be pretty safe. It looked pretty clean on the outside. I go to check in… The office is small & dank with a space heater blowing for patrons that come in… I scan the place & decided. OK, I won’t eat breakfast here. They assigned me a room wayyyyyy down in the corner… As I’m walking to my room, a man that looked like a vagrant & smelled stinky as well said hello & I immediately said NOPE… I turned around, went back to the office & asked for another room CLOSER to the street & to the rental office. The clerk started an argument which turned into cursing… WTF did I get into? All I asked for was a different room. We went back & forth for about 10 minutes. I asked him for his name several times & he REFUSED… I went to take a picture & he got up, walked into another room & slammed the door. The place had PLENTY of available rooms. I eventually called 911& had an officer come out b/c he didn’t want to refund my money either. Oh HELLNO… THAT’S NOTGOINGTOFLY. He has ALL of my personal information, name, address, phone #, DL#, Credit card info & I can’t get your name? As I’m speaking to the dispatcher on the phone, he’s yelling at me to get out of their establishment… and since I came in a car, I can wait in my car for the police. Oh yeah… DUDELOSTHISMIND! I told him, NO, I will NOT leave & you WILL either give me my money back or another room! The police said it was a civil matter & wouldn’t get involved… Wouldn’t even ask the a-hole for his name. but before they left, a gentleman, Nick Patel appeared from a back room. The clerk told him, well you deal with it b/c I WON’T & I’m leaving & I’m leaving for good. He STORMED out of the establishment. Patel apologized for the clerks actions & gave me the room right above the office. Room 201 with double beds. I asked him, why didn’t he intervene BEFORE the police got involved. He claimed to have just gotten there. The room looked clean, but I didn’t scan it well. The TV was old, the sheets were clean, I supplied my own pillow, the mattress was lumpy & noisy, but I didn’t care. I took a shower, went to bed & checked out early the next morning. As I’m checking out, ANOTHER vagabond(female with a shopping cart) was sitting at the table eating a bowl of cereal… yeah, she was dirty & smelly too… I put my overnight bag in the car, walked around my vehicle to make sure I still had the 4 rims &4 tires I rode in on… and I PEEEEEELEDOUTOFTHELOTNEVERTOLOOKBACK! You’ve been warned… You’re welcome!

All I cared about was if the room was clean. It didn’t matter to me that as soon as I walked into the lobby the clerk behind the counter was not welcoming or polite. There were man made signs all over, stating fines for smoking in rooms, bring any guests in, etc. After driving 6 hours, all we cared about was a clean room, hot showers and a somewhat comfortable bed. Well when we finally got up to our room, man were we in for a shock. The room smelled as if someone was smoking in there for years. There were finger marks all over the walls. The refrigerator was just plain dirty on the outside with spilled drinks and food stuck on there. The sheets were stained and I know that it was blood we saw on the night stand. Well we get into the bathroom, the rest stop we visited earlier in the day was cleaner than this. When we went back to the front desk, not 15 minutes after we checked in and let him know the state of our room. He simply said no refunds and the manager is out of town and won’t be back till Mon and he can’t do anything. I’m not sure can’t was true, but more like won’t. We could not stay there. We ended up staying at another place that was 100% cleaner with nicer staff. We will be calling on monday.

So I thought since I’m only staying one night it would not be the end of the world… BOYWAS I WRONG!!! DONOTSTAYHERE! Unless you like drug addicts and drunks hanging around the parking lot and rooms. On top of that the sheets were dirty, one of them had a blood stain on it. Plus the towels were dirty like they haven’t been washed. Oh and to top it all off, there was a red beetle in my sheets that looked like a bed bug!!! I’ve stayed in a motel before for overnight trips and they were clean but this was definitely not it! Never again. I think the only possible positive thing about the whole experience is the people at the front desk were friendly.

Clean sheets, hot shower. Within walking distance to Sovereign Bank Stadium. It’s not The Ritz, but it was perfect for an overnight stay.
