We visited on a fairly busy Saturday and my entire family loved the visit. The wife had the Cuban, I had the Rueben(made with Turkey, so in reality a Rachel) and my daughter had the Grilled Cheese. All the sandwiches had great flavor and are nicely grilled. The cool thing that ‘wowed’ is is that you pay a dollar extra and get handmade sodas from the Fizzy Bee next to the Busy Bee. We all had colas with different flavor and they were really good. They serve BBQ chips with their sandwiches which are the perfect match. Fun place to eat with great flavor and friendly service. I wish we had more places like this in or around downtown.

I’m so sad… they have all these great reviews and I was sure we would have a yummy meal but I am disappointed instead. *pout* This is from last month First Friday and I have been putting it off since. We got salads but I don’t remember the names, not that it matters. Okay so he got the salmon on a bed of mixed greens and I got the chicken spicy salad on spinach. He tossed most of his away, well the salad part he didn’t say anything negative and it could be his man mouth really wanted fries and fried chicken ;) My salad was dry as the Mojave Desert in July! Really. This was a first date experience and he paid and of course we left the market for Cherry Lane so we could talk and I was nearly choking on those damn dry spinach leaves. God’s sake people! My salad was suspose to have((hots)) no((hots)) none I could detect and what about a dressing? You only get one chance to WOW me.

I love both The Busy Bee AND the Fizzy Bee. They make the market a better and more well rounded place. Always a pleasure to see what they’re cooking up next. Stop by. Get something ridiculous(hangover cure) and delicious.

This review is for both the Busy Bee and the Fizzy Bee. This place is located in the market house which has limited hours, check the hours before you go there. They were one of only a couple of vendors who were open on first Friday due to the weather. So glad that was the case because their food was amazing, creative, fresh, healthy and delish! So when it came time to order our drinks we were given the option of bottled beverages or one that«they make». We were sent to the Fizzy Bee which is next to them to select a custom made soda. I am sure all the choices were great but the hibiscus ginger ale was so good that I had two large that night and another on Saturday when we went back for lunch.(Yeah the food was that good!). While eating my lunch I watched them create a variety of old fashioned sodas, floats, etc. What a great place, I wish we had something like this near us.

Breakfast is outstanding quality and value. Had the not so easy breakfast and it was wonderful. The blueberry pancakes were truly superb, crunchy crust and light. Awesome breakfast.

Busy Bee’s creations are so creative and interesting, that you will want to try every combination that have. I’ve tried the Bison burger, which was good, and the Fire Cracker Chicken Salad. The Fire Cracker was THEBOMB. Wasn’t expecting the chicken to be so flavorful! If a Chinese restaurant wanted to learn how to improve their spicy chicken, I would send them here. Hands down the best chicken-on-top-salad I’ve tried.

I really like the Busy Bee. The food is locally sourced in general and very high quality. The staff is very helpful and is willing to describe their creations to you. I work a couple of blocks away and I like their bison burgers. They also have a soda jerk next to the Busy Bee location called the Fizzy Bee which has some amazing creations of their own. This is a case of a local business doing it right and I like it quite a bit.

AMAZINGLYGOOD& not at all what I was expecting to find in York! I loved that when I asked whether the salmon on the salad was wild or Atlantic(I know, I know, but I lived in Seattle & learned to be a salmon snob), they were like«ew! No! Not farmed! Wild caught Coho!» And it was fantastic. My friend has the bison burger with a crabcake on top & raved about it, too. If I ever make it back to York, I will be back(and will probably even get up early to try breakfast)!

I adore the Busy Bee! SUPER friendly service and imaginative, delicious food. I look forward to Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays so I can do my shopping at the market and grab an amazing lunch at the Bee… Duck, lamb, tuna, bison, chicken… you get it all here. Here were today’s specials: What the duck? Duck breast dusted in rooibos tea & pan seared. Served w/baby spinach, grilled nectarines, red onion, sugar snap peas, & nectarine poppy seed vinaigrette. Grilled Tuna Caprese– tuna steak grilled to order served on a golden tomato & fresh mozzarella salad drizzled w/balsamic Woody Wilson Cheesesteak– Ny Strip w/giardinera, caramelized onion, red wine, aged Italian cheeses, served on a hoagie roll Central PA Vindaloo– leg of lamb w/golden & chioggia beets, fresh local summer squash & corn, & house made vindaloo masala, over basmati rice w/cucumber riata Veggie Cheesesteak– Portobello caps, caramelized onion, roasted red peppers, kalamata olives, and baby spinach, sauteed w/red wine and blended Italian cheeses on a hoagie roll. I mean, come on … does any other place in York offer this kind of food? I think not. I had the tuna special. The tomatoes were ripe and sweet, the mozzarella sublime & tuna was very fresh and cooked to a perfect medium rare. I’ve had the duck special in the past and would definitely order it again. Go here, make it a regular stop, support downtown York!!!

Just say no to chains. This is fabulous and I always try to stop here when I get near the ancient York Central Market on a Saturday morning. I think it’s wonderful these young folks create the ever changing always fabulous menus.

Amazing food for York! Fun loving vibe to it and the staff is always friendly. Great selections. The gyro is a little hard to eat but other than that nothing but good experiences.

Love Andrew and the staff at Busy Bee. Nice folks and some excellent food! Some creative dishes which are a bit outside of the norm, but I’ve really enjoyed all that I try. I love some of the creative breakfast/brunch food options on a Saturday. The soups are also particularly good. Glad to see Busy Bee is doing well and sticking around the Market!

I love when chefs experiment with new and unique menu items, and The Busy Bee gets an A+ for a truly original menu. I get particularly excited when the vegetarian options are creatively put together, as I am always looking for delicious ways to pair up veggies. Again, The Busy Bee succeeds in this area. I’d pin flying colors on their culinary success if I could! It took me a good 10 minutes to narrow down my dining options, as everything listed appealed to me. Since my Dad got the Crabby Patties(Spongebob reference noted and appreciated!) and I knew I’d get a generous sampling, I went for the veg-friendly Anastasia(on sourdough instead of rye). This sammie is your basic reuben, but has fistfuls of sauteed mushrooms and spinach in lieu of the pastrami. Complete with red slaw, swiss cheese and«Czarist dressing», this meatless masterpiece is worth every penny!

I’ve only eaten here twice but was blown away both times. The food is fresh, flavorful and plentiful. The Firecracker Chicken wrap was seasoned perfectly. The staff is friendly, personable and the place just has an overall cool, unique vibe. Seating is limited, as they’re sharing the space with other stands in the market.

This food stand in Central Market is possibly the best quality food prepared for your money. The chef is very personable and definitely knows how to cook. I could have used a bit more pickle on my Cuban … but all and all that was probably one of the best Cuban Sandwiches i have ever had. Defiantly worth the trip to the market.

My favorite eatery at Central Market, and probably in all of downtown York. Don’t let the modest appearance fool you — the food that is put out is consistently fresh, funky(in a good way!) and delicious. I have eaten here dozens of times and have never had anything subpar. The chef/owner is very friendly, and will converse with you as he prepares your food. He will gladly alter the contents of each dish to your liking, but I highly suggest sampling his creations in all their glory, as he intended. Fresh ingredients abound, with most of them being purchased daily from the market vendors. Word to the wise — unless it has changed recently, the Busy Bee accepts cash only — although most people come to market with cash anyway, since few of the stands take cards. 100% worth the trip downtown.

The Busy Bee delivers on everything it represents. Overall: If you could like a tandoori chicken wrap, or a firecracker chicken salad, you’ll mostly certainly like the Busy Bee. Weak points: You won’t find a chair to sit in next to the Busy Bee — you’ll have to sit by the piano or upstairs(which are actually two fantastic options). Be prepared to give it a minute — the guy is making to order. Strong points: Food. Plus getting edgy compilations from a hipster in a Fedora has it’s perks. Sparkling water for a $ 1 ~ new menu/rotating items & all of the ingredients are whole, fresh goodies bought exclusively from other vendors in the market. How about that?
