Excellent food and great service! This is not your typical Asian restaurant. Their sushi is the bomb! I always get their crab and cheese wontons which lack crab but they are still delicious! Wild ginger is my new obsession. It appears and tastes as if everything is house made and I’m sure it is.

The best pad Thai you will find anywhere, hands down. I could eat it for every meal for the rest of my life and never get sick of it.

Their pick-up is not the quickest. The two times I’ve ordered from here, I’ve given 20 minutes before showing up. Both times I’ve had to wait. However, today’s visit was considerably worse because the waiter was surprised to find my online order printed out and still laying on the printer. They had no idea it even existed until I showed up to pick it up. I ended up waiting an extra 20 minutes while they made the order quickly. No apology was offered. The food is decent but this experience will keep me from coming back.

Tried Wild Ginger on a suggestion on Black Friday with my wife. Got the special Big Mac roll and the sushi regular. They were accommodating and substituted the crab and shrimp, which I always do. The edamame was really good. The Big Mac roll was my wife’s and she enjoyed it. I got the regular combo. The fish was good. The salmon was probably the best. The tuna lacked some flavor. I was not happy with the rice. It was very wet, did not stay together and was flavorless. It continually fell apart when I attempted to pick up the sushi. The yellow chicken curry was quite tasty. The service was average at best. We were charged for a sushi deluxe that we did not order that they had to remove from the bill. They never refilled our water or hot tea. Never even asked. I’d say a 3 star review is fair.

Quite possibly the worst service I have experienced anywhere this year. There were two waiters and maybe six patrons total. We ordered green curry; basil curry, and a dragon roll. We got our tea and souos. Then our dragon roll sat on the sushi counter for iver 10 minutes until I actually ASKED one of them if that was ours. As if that wasn’t bad enough… they bring out the green curry… and pad thai. When I asked the waiter«Is this basil curry?» She actually couldn’t tell me. Now you would think… at this point… they would at least attempt to quickly rectify my order and get me the basil curry put asap? Wrong you are! Took them another 15 minutes. At this point there were two other patrons besides us there. At no point did anyone even say«we are so sorry» or even acted like they cared. Will never go back there again nor will I recommend this place to anyone.

Gave this place a try on a recent Friday night, and both my wife & I thought it was very good. We had a steamed edamame appetizer, and then went with 2 different entrees off the Chinese section(chicken w/broccoli & tofu w/veggies). Also got a tuna roll on the side from the sushi menu. Everything was very good. It tasted fresh & flavorful, and well prepared. We asked for additional hot sauce, and they brought out 2 diff options: Sirachi style sauce, and then a hot peppers in oil sauce. We tend to enjoy our food a little spicier than most, and the peppers in oil were excellent for that. The service was excellent. We were well taken care of by the team of servers in the restaurant. Refilled soda & water glasses very quickly. We will definitely be heading back to dine here again.

I consistently have fabulous experiences here. The double dawn roll is my absolute favorite, finished with green tea ice cream for dessert. Pretty much any of their spicy sushi is amazing, and I absolutely love their pad Thai; truly a successful fusion restaurant. The staff is always accommodating and polite. Don’t let the location fool you! I have the bulk of my dates and business dinners here and will keep coming back.

Always great service and good quality food. Delicious sushi. I also suggest the pineapple fried rice!

Their special rolls are great. I’ve enjoyed Transformer Roll, Spider Roll, Crazy Roll, Double Dragon Roll, Pink Lady, and Yellow Submarine. There’s a varied lunch special from Monday-Saturday that includes a sushi or sashimi plate, or a bento box. Also splashed out and tried the Basil Chicken. Something for everyone here.

My husband and I were just a little hungry so we ordered some Wonton Soup. The broth was bland and the wontons were under cooked and doughy in the middle. We won’t be returning.

We frequently order takeout from here. The sushi is great! The raw rolls are fresh and tasty. Tempura rolls are battered and cooked well. We’ve ordered the General’s chicken as well which was very good. Cooked and seasoned nicely. The few times we’ve eaten in the dining room, it has been pleasant. Generally not very crowded, and dimly lit. The wait staff is attentive and helpful when discussing the dishes. Always a positive experience.

I’m shocked that there are so many bad reviews! I usually go here by myself for late lunches. I enjoy that it’s usually not busy around this time, and it’s nice and quiet. The waitress is always polite and unobtrusive. She’s there when I need something, and that’s it. I always order a few different sushi rolls, usually one of the chefs special and one off the menu. I have never had a bad experience yet. I leave satisfied every time. I do however feel that the food is better when you sit in the restaurant. Whenever I have gotten takeout, it just does not seem as good.

I visited Wild Ginger for the first time last Friday. A friend of mine was praising this place and so I decided to try it. I’ve never been treated so rudely by a waitress before. I asked a question about the menu and she huffed(literally) and was shifting her hips like a teenager with an attitude. I’m reading through these reviews and I’m almost relieved that it wasn’t just me. Others are receiving bad service. I was so uncomfortable that I was afraid to ask where the bathroom was located. The waitress continued to give me dirty looks when she came back to our table. I asked a waiter that was with another table to tell me where the bathroom was. I spent $ 75.00 on 4 drinks, 2 General Two dinner and 3 sushi rolls. I would have rather go to the food court at the Capital City Mall in Camp Hill to eat sushi. Queen B… at Wild Ginger ruined my lunch. The Spicy Salmon was pathetic. I Truly Have Had Better Sushi from Giants Grocery Store.

Great atmosphere and really good sushi. They do seem a bit pricier than other close by places but it is a nicer dining experience with better food. The close vicinity to the Wine and Spirits Shoppe make the BYOB quite convenient.

Attention people in York looking for a great place for Chinese! Don’t be intimidated by «Neo» in the name or the sushi! This place serves up delicious Chinese food with a fresh and healthy flare. I ordered the chicken and string beans lunch twice in two weeks but they were out of string beans both times. They offered pea pods instead and I was happy to accept. The chef at this place really knows how to prepare a beautiful plate with bright, crispy vegetables. My lunch came with a refreshing light wonton soup which may disappoint you if you’re expecting the usual heavy thick noodles with bright yellow salty broth. This soup was a perfect start to the perfect meal. LOVE. THIS. PLACE

The service was not good at all. The sushi presentation was below mediocre. One in our party ordered a dish which was supposed to include scallops, and it included exactly one. Our server argued with us about it without a smile. The actual food was also just mediocre in terms of flavor. I will not be returning here.

I’ve been to many Asian fusion places, and most of them are decent or good, but this one is REALLY good! My girlfriend got two different types of sushi rolls — sweet potato roll and the Philly roll — both of which were great. We had an appetizer of tempura vegetables, which were great. The broccoli managed to be super tender with a soft crispy outside and that was just perfect! I ordered two pieces of unagi and General Tso’s chicken. The chicken was magnificently crispy on the outside with a soft, tender, juicy inside. The flavor of the sauce was perfect — spicy enough to clear sinuses, but sweet and flavorful enough to not overpower you with spice. Servers were all very friendly and attentive! Really nice folks. Food came quickly after ordering and was served at the appropriate temperature(steam coming off of my chicken platter, warm unagi, and nice, cold sushi rolls) If you’re in the area and looking for decent Asian good, skip the rest and go to the best. This place wins hands down over the rest of the York Asian-themed eateries.

I’m in York for business and thought I’d try it. Service sucks. Waitress lacks customer service and was not friendly. Sushi was good, not great. I ordered the spicy grill roll. When they brought it out, I was surprised at the size of the roll. Grocery store sushi size. Very OVER priced for what you get. Not worth it. Will not return.

This was my worst sushi experience ever. I ordered three rolls, two of which I eat regularly when I dine out for sushi. My first role was a new one for me. I ordered the white tuna jalapeño roll. Unfortunately, it was more jalapeño than white tuna. The second role was a spicy scallop roll. They added Panko breadcrumbs to their spicy scallops which were very soggy and had an off flavor. The scallops had a very poor texture as well. My last roll was an eel avocado roll with cream cheese. This is listed on their menu has an eel avocado roll but I asked them to add the cream cheese. They did so without any question, but then charged me an extra dollar for the effort. Normally this would not be a big deal, however on my very last bite I bit into something hard. When I showed it to the sushi chef he told me it must be a bone. I don’t know about anyone else, but I like my sushi to be bone free. I wish I could say anything nice about this restaurant however the service was even poor. I will not be returning to this restaurant anytime soon.
