We were able to stop at the Ben and Jerry’s after lunch. Wanted to get a cone and walk the Yorktown riverfront. Son had a large on a waffle, husband regular on sugar cone, myself regular in a cup and the youngest son a large in a chocolate waffle. We paid, went outside, crossed the street and stopped to see the view. The ice cream was already melting all over my sons hand within a few minutes. He had to gobble it down while it was dripping down his arm and all over the sidewalk. I have never had that experience before with any ice cream. Made the experience no fun at all. Not sure if the ice cream was too soft or what. Our order was $ 29.00 and some change. Quite expensive for ice cream.

This is one of the best placed Ben and Jerry’s of all time. Right on the Yorktown Beach waterfront shops. Nice outside seating area as well as indoor seating area. A bit smaller than most but cozy in its own right. The store is always clean and the staff are friendly. A bit pricey but it is gourment ice cream people. I don’t need to write about the ice cream because it is Ben and Jerry’s so you should know what deliciousness to expect. Always great to stop in here after a long day at the beach for some well earned taste of summer.

Ben and Jerry’s, what’s not to love? How can people dislike this ice cream heaven, I don’t know. It’s the best ice cream in the world and I DEFINITELY recommend Ben and Jerry’s! The one flavor that I reeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaally recommend is Candy Bar pie, but that’s just me.

Nice little chill spot at Yorktown Beach. It gets pretty full in the summer and for a good reason! The staff and of course the ice cream is delicious. I don’t come to Ben and Jerry’s often but I do go to the beach/​bay area and once in a blue moon I’ll make my way down here for a little treat.
Staff is nice, there is wifi and this location is open year round unlike some other nearby by shops and restaurants.
While the place works it is your typical Ben and Jerry’s and probably the closest storefront for miles up on miles. Overall, good ice cream and nice people in a semi-​clean environment for the majority of the year. Not my favorite ice cream but definitely good stuff.

Perfect location, right on the beach. The line can get a little long depending on what type of day and how hot it is outside, but it’s worth it. They don’t just have ice cream, they have really good tea and coffee, and a few pastries. The waffle-​cone scent draws people in off the street, and they have a flavor-​board posted right by the door, so if they don’t have what you want you don’t get stuck in the line.

Wide range of choices for top quality ice cream. You don’t come here to cut calories, you come here for the real deal. I was impressed with the large selection of smoothies, milkshakes and coffee drinks as well.
The setting at Riverwalk Landing is beautiful. I came on a cold and blustery afternoon, so enjoyed the river views from inside the dining room, but during the warmer months it would be perfect to grab a cone to go and stroll along the water.
Prices are a tad higher than you might pay elsewhere (my 1 scoop was a little under $ 4), but much better quality-​wise than many other ice cream chains. They have freshly baked waffle cones that looked yummy. I also appreciated that they had free self-​serve water.
UPDATE (6÷25÷14): Prices appear to be seasonal. I went in the other day and the price for a scoop had gone up to $ 5.

The boardwalk is lovely — the views are tremendous (York River and Coleman Bridge to Gloucester) and the ice cream– YUM. Cannot go wrong with Ice Cream Shoppe AND a coffee shop. Perfect for year-​round visits to the Yorktown Beach.

My husband tried the mish-​mash with strawberry cheese cake and vanilla heath. It was delicious! It is in the perfect location if you just want to walk around Yorktown Beach and have a treat. The service was friendly and helpful. I drop in everytime I am in the area.
