The crew did such an awesome job when we hired them to paint our townhouse in preparation for selling. They painted our ceilings, walls, and baseboards. Everyone was professional, worked hard, and got the job done one day ahead of plan. Fast forward to us selling that townhouse and building a new home. ProTect was literally my first call and the builder hadn’t even broke ground yet. I just wanted to reserve my appointment early so that we could paint before moving in. Again, the crew didn’t disappoint. They worked with such precision and every room in this house just reminds me of how skillful they are with a brush. My house looks amazing! I’m not buying another house any time soon, but if I ever need a painter, I’ve got ProTect on speed-dial!

–The first day they were supposed to show up between 8 – 9 am and did not come until almost 2. When they finally arrived, they just taped up a few things and left, saying they would be back the next day. We made arrangements with our schedule for them being there all day, so this was a big waste of our time. –While doing the job we basically had to be on them the ENTIRE time to fix things. Obvious things like patching holes and getting paint where it does not belong. We finally got so upset with the job they were doing, that we decided it would be better to bring it up with the owner after they left. They were very sloppy and rushed out the end of the third day not giving us time to look over what they had done. –We sent the owner an email asking if we hired them to paint the rest of the house, would they fix the poor job that was done in the first place. While the owner agreed to fix the poor job that was done, he also seemed to scold me for letting them leave when we were unhappy with the job. The painters he sent couldn’t edge well or patch and cover holes properly. Here is a portion of his email below… «Normally we ask that customers look over the job closely so that we can fix anything they want there and then — before we get the check and leave. I thought that is what happened in your case. Returning to do minor touch-ups is disruptive to the schedule and costly so we want to take care of them while we are there. For a larger interior project, we have crews that ONLY do interiors. Just let me know if /when you’d like to move forward on the larger scope.» –I was also very unhappy to learn that the guys who did our job were outside painters. The owner indicated that the skilled inside painters were only used for«larger jobs». The painters who came did a poor job. Had we known they were only going to send guys who normally do outside jobs, we would have used another company. –The painters also painted a bathroom that was not in the contract. I gave them the contact to look over, but they still painted it anyways. I was also scolded by the owner for letting them do this. I was looking after my newborn baby, is it my fault that they can’t follow simple instructions? The assistant manager said he would come out, and never did. Perhaps if he had, it would have been caught by him? We considered using protect to paint the entire house, but given everything that happened, and the owners lack of caring that his guys did a poor job, we will not be using them or ever recommending them to anyone else. We will take the remaining $ 4,500 project and find someone else who can do it properly the FIRST time.
