Had the steak with risotto… The steak was just ok… Paid mid 20’s for the entrée… Risotto was definitely prepared before hand… Looks like it was scooped and reheated… might try it again but will ask if it is freshly made…

We ate here before heading off to a concert at the Corelli Center. I had the 5th floor burger, and the Mrs. had the shrimp pasta. The burger was excellent, and my wife enjoyed the shrimp pasta. I thought the pasta had to much garlic in it. I had called earlier that day and made reservations, and when we arrived the hostess told us that the host sat someone at our table. The hostess then said it wasn’t her job to deal with and the host was to fix it. He did, and sat us at a nice view of the city through one of the large windows. The server seemed to be lacking in qualifications, and when asked a question about the menu, her response was, ‘I like everything’. Bottom line, the price was right, the food was on par for what I had expected, and the service was bellow average. Would I go again? sure.

My wife and I ate here on a whim for a date night before a concert at Covelli. What can I say? Food was excellent, service was some of the best I’ve ever had. Beer and wine list extensive. Great atmosphere inside and beautiful view outside. Will definitely eat here again! Prices are comparable to most other restaurants, but food quality was a cut above! Do yourself a favor and eat here!

I met friends for dinner yesterday which is my first visit to the Fifth Floor restaurant. It is located on the 5th floor of the commerce building. Parking is available. The restaurant reminds me of a bar/restaurant that you see in old movies. The owner came over and chatted with us. The risotto balls are amazing. The bartender is excellent – very customer service oriented. I had the eggplant Parmesan for dinner, which was good, but the eggplant still had the skin on it, which I didn’t care for. The almond cake is amazing. I would recommend to anyone meeting colleagues for a drink after work or dinner.

Made reservations for an early Mothers day dinner to take my mother in law. Was excited to try out for first time since they opened. We used to go when it was the youngstown club. On our way in, one of the staff was walking in and opened all the doors and held the elevator for us which was very nice. My mother in law walks with a roller walker and the hostess at the front showed us to our window table which was the absolute furthest table we could have been seated at. We passed 5 other open window tables. Appreciated the corner but felt bad for my 82 year old mother. Server was nice and brought waters and took our orders. All the other reviews talked about horrible service so I was prepared it might be bad. Our server did fine. The interior is beautiful. Elegant, charming, high ceilings and nicely decorated. 2 large dining rooms separated by the entrance with a long bar. The main view directly outside is of the youngstown post office and covelli centre. Onto the food… risotto balls with tomato basil sauce and cheese. Deep fried and nothing special. Interesting texture. Hubby ordered and ate 1 of the 4 so I ate one. Salad was a mixture of fresh greens but the greens were definitely not fresh. Tomato slices were dried out and my spring mix had lots of black and bruised pieces. Hubby and i barely touched the salad. I will say the house balsamic was wonderful though. The salad was just a house salad that came with the meal so no big deal. I just expect more. These salads sat in the refrigerator premade I believe. Hubby ordered eggplant over pasta. Beautiful presentation with a knife sticking out of it. Hubby said it was ok. Looked like it needed sauce. Not sure if it is eggplant parm without sauce. Wedding soup was wonderful. Big bowl for only 4 $. I ordered the salmon with hoisin sauce over some special rice. Salmon was cooked well but the skin on bottom was really tough and i wish it wasn’t there. The rice was different but I liked it. Can’t remember what the description was. Plating was very nice on big white plate and very crisp and clean presentation. Overall, big fancy plates and gorgeous presentation for mediocre food. Nice for youngstown but not a foodie thumbs up.

New restaurant occupying the old Youngstown Club location. Crowded tonight(Friday) and the wait staff was simply overwhelmed. Food was great but the service was very slow. Location is divided into 2 dinning areas. Both have a large bar sharing the dining space which makes the whole restaurant very noisy. We will try this in a few weeks after things have settled down.
