It is a bit of a stretch to give this a full three stars, but let’s just say that it had some good and bad points. First, the good: 1) lovely setting in an airy, very open and yet cozy room next to the theatre and performing arts auditorium in downtown Youngstown. 2) simple menu with well priced appetizers and salads. 3) excellent wait staff and very attentive management,(even gave us a tour of the lovely theatre, built by the Warner brothers family… amazing!!). 3) small, but well priced wine list. Bottle of J. Lohr Cabernet for $ 20.00, excellent! 4) the Caesar salad was also excellent! Now, the disappointments: 1) the filet wrap with gorgonzola filling appetizer was not just undercooked but actually raw in some parts, making it hard to eat as you had to de-layer it to find the cooked parts. 2) The entrée selections seemed over priced and lacked any«middle priced» selections other than a Scrod dish. Despite the disappointments, this is still worth booking before the symphony or other performance. They are open for lunch as well and I’ll try them the next time I’m looking for a business lunch in Youngstown.
