Royal Grill Buffet

Was in the mood for a Chinese buffet and found this one nearby. The atmosphere was great and the food was even better. Nice variety (even sushi) and everything was hot and fresh. Highly recommend.

I have visited this restaurant a couple times and I can truly say that each experience is just delightful. They have a wide variety of food to choose from and not all of it is Chinese. The desert selection is pretty good as well, having different types of ice creams and cookies to choose from. The banana pudding is very good and I would highly recommend the bourbon chicken as well. I gave this restaurant a ⁴⁄₅ only because on select visits certain foods were lacking on being refilled, otherwise I would have given a 5.

The best buffet in town. Food is always hot. Always full. Customer service is average. Friendly. Average noise. Over all a pleasant place to go when youre belly needs plates and plates of good chinese. Sushi is also offered. Raw hibachi meats and veggies can be cooked for you fresh at the grill. A dessert bar. An ice cream bar. And various american type foods as well for those who dont care for chinese but a friend does. Love this place!

I am so glad we found this on Unilocal!We were in Boardman and looking for something different to try… and this was awesome! They have a huge buffet including a Hibachi station, sushi and desserts. Of course there are many already made dishes to chose from as well. But I am getting ahead of myself.
I was so surprised when we walked in at how beautiful this place is. The have a gorgeous waterfall at the entrance and the décor is very pretty. It is also a HUGE place. Plenty of seating in both tables and booths.
We were there a little after 5 and the buffet was stocked beautifully. There were so many things to choose form. from cold fruit and salad to traditional favorites like Sweet and Sour Chicken, Lo Mein and General Tso’s Chicken. They also have american dishes like chicken fingers and mashed potatoes if you have a picky eater that does not like Chinese.
As for me, my favorite part is the Hibabchi. You choose your own meats, veggies, seasoning and sauce and then it is cooked for you. I made a wonderful dish of chicken and beef with bean sprouts, mushrooms and snow peas. It was just what I was craving. I also loved their Lo Mein. It was very flavorful and NOT greasy. Their egg rolls are really good as well… and of course the Crab Rangoon. Yum!
Best part? Their buffet is continuously refilled so dishes are hot and fresh and it only $ 7.99 for dinner!!! Most places have jacked their prices to $ 10 and do not have near the quality of a buffet that this place has, I will definitly be comeing back again!

Around a year ago we found this locale.
The hibachi options were nice, with a wide variety. We went today and they have narrowed. However the sushi options have expanded. I would take the crab meat and more meat options at the hibachi.
This is what made this spot unique. The price is good but the average buffet food options can be got anywhere. Cutting food costs is understandable but your hibachi chef is good use him and give us options to eat.

Tried the buffet on a Monday night. The restaurant was relatively busy so I expected the food on the buffet would be fresh and hot. Unfortunately some was, some wasn’t. The hot and sour soup was really good, some of the best I have had anywhere. It wasn’t my first choice though as I really wanted won ton but the wontons were so stuck together I could not get any out of the steamer container. The hot and spicy chicken was good as was the grilled chicken dish. The green beans were also quite good. Dumplings were lukewarm at best and so was the lo mein.
To sum up, the things that were hot and fresh were all good but not enough to make up for the things that weren’t. After all the 5 star reviews, I expected alot bettter.

Very good food and wide selection at an excellent price. Everything was fresh. I will return.

Most consistently-​good Chinese buffet I’ve EVER known in the Youngstown area. They have enough turnover to always be quite fresh. Food is actually HOT, and doesn’t have that «5-​hour-​old» taste. The sushi rolls are as good as you’re going to get for a buffet, and there’s plenty of ginger and wasabi. It’s quite clean. The always-​present manager is as friendly as you could ask for – I’ve probably been there 15 times and he addresses me like we’re friends. The price is totally reasonable and I get multiple $ 1.00/$ 1.50-off coupons in the mail almost weekly. I pay about $ 9.00 for a dinner that’s worth nearly double that. All manner of standard chicken dishes, egg and spring rolls, hibachi grill, great salad and dessert bars, typical shrimp, mushroom, fish and beef dishes… and occasional exotic options. You simply can’t beat this place for the price. It’s not a 5-​star restaurant, but it’s EASILY a 5-​star buffet.

My family and I absolutely love this buffet. We are from NY, so we are picky about our Chinese food. I never wouldve thought to go here– I like to introduce my sister to different cuisines, but I saw the reviews on Unilocal,and we decided to take a chance on a place that is literally 5minutes away from her house, yet we have passed by over the years without stopping. *** best buffet ever! I’ve never had the opportunity to do the Mongolian stir fry because there’s too many options on the regular lines and sushi lines. Sushi chefs are constantly making fresh items as fast as pieces are being taken. I can’t get enough of the coconut shrimp and general tso’s and sesame chickens. Many different chicken preparations, rice/​noodle dishes, american food for picky children (pizza, fries, etc) plus strip steak. They have a large dessert section including many tubs of ice cream plus a nearby line has fruits and puddings. Honestly, find the chinese donouts and use it as the base for an ice cream «sundae». Food is always hot, place is clean, and the service is exceptional. I really want to thank Jin. My 3 year old nephew Jaxon was very fussy during our visit, but he absolutely adored her, and would stop crying whenever she was around.

Food is really good. Service great. Food choices are wings, fish, steak, shrimp, you name it. Very clean, sometime refilling food areas is delayed. Worth the cost, something for everyone.

Good food for the price as far as buffets go. Sushi can be somewhat inconsistent freshness during times of lower customer volume, so go during peak lunch/​dinner times if that is what you have a taste for.

Hibachi station is really good, but the rest is subpar. The dressing bottles are straight from Aldi. My son enjoyed the fish pond at the entrance.

Awesome buffet! Sushi bar, hibachi and so many other foods. The price drops from $ 10 to $ 7 from 11 – 330. Great food, desserts and even ice cream. I’m always full and satisfied when I leave. Enjoy!!!

Great place! So much to choose from. I was full before I could try it all. Food is fresh and everything looks great. Staff is very friendly and restaurant is big a comfortable. Selection has everything you could want from an Asian dish. Also has a Mongolian BBQ and sushi bar. I would definitely come back every time I come to Youngstown OH

This is a new family Favorite for us! Me and my husband absolutely loved it and there was so much to chose from for my 6 year old daughter as well! The three of us left with full bellies and happy faces and a bill under 30 $! There’s so many delicious options its hard to wrap your head around it and pick a starting spot! First of all, A sushi bar! All you can eat! Also, a delicious chinese buffet and hibachi grill with some great American food options and desert as well! We had crab legs, steak, ribs that fell off the bone, shrimp, chicken terriaky, sushi, stuffed mushrooms, crab Rangoons, tiramisu and so so much more!!! We will absolutely be going back very soon!

For a buffet that charges $ 10 an adult for dinner, this place is awesome. They have hibachi, sushi, hot and cold foods buffet and a large dessert section. The service was great, place was very clean and all of the food was really good, especially loved the stuffed mushrooms, mango chicken and hibachi. I didn’t have any of the Sushi but everyone who had it said it was great.
We don’t travel to this area much but if we are around again, we will be back. :)

Love this place. Best buffet for lunch, period. Great food large selection, and to answer the person who wondered why no all you can eat crab legs. You CAN buy them pound at a time. All you can eat crab leg buffets near Youngstown. Not a good idea.

Probably my favorite buffet in the area. And I have gone back quite a few times already. The place is very clean, and it’s almost always been packed every time we’ve gone.
Selection is great, they have a huge sushi station, a make your own stir fry station, a small American section, a salad section, your typical Chinese food, an ice cream bar, and a desert section. My biggest complaint is there is no crab legs. For some reason that’s a big thing Chinese buffets in the area lack. Also the first time we went they had this amazing chicken (I forget the name!) and I have never seen it since I’ve gone back. You definitely won’t be disappointed. There is something for everyone.
Price is pretty reasonable for the amount of food.

After much thought between whether I should give it 4 or 5 stars I decided on 4 even though it could have easily gone the other way. The food was great, the staff was attentive and friendly and the selection was great. The facilities were as clean as the day they were opened.
Best sushi I’ve had at a buffet in this area, especially the fried sushi with eel sauce and spicy mayo. NOM!
The reason for the 4 star review is that I would have really enjoyed their Mongolian section but didn’t realize they had one until I was already full.
I highly recommend this place, it’s a must hit if you’re in the mood for Chinese. And it was very affordable. My fiancée and I only spent a total of $ 25.00 for both of us.

As far as Chinese buffets go, this one is better than most. Hence the 4 stars. However, it’s not the best I’ve ever had. Hence the not-​5 stars.
The place is quite big, nicely decorated, and very clean. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. The food area is well lit, clean, and constantly restocked with fresh food.
They’ve got a large salad bar, several soups to select from, a small «American food» section, and mostly typical Chinese buffet food selections (General Tso’s chicken, pepper steak, egg rolls, spring rolls), as well as a dessert table.
They also have a sushi station, where a sushi chef is continually making new rolls to replenish the bar. I had a California roll topped with tuna, a crab & cream cheese roll, a spicy crab roll, and tuna sashimi. They were pretty good for a buffet. Don’t get me wrong though, this is no Mizu. The tuna did have a slight fishy taste that you normally don’t get with quality sushi. Wasabi and pickled ginger are also available.
Something that I was impressed with… and didn’t see until I was already full… is the Mongolian Grill-​style section of the buffet. If you don’t know what that is… its all raw meats and vegetables. You select the items you want to eat, add them to a bowl, and bring it over to the grilling section (to the left of the sushi bar) where the cook there will stir-​fry your ingredients to order.
I will definitely be back to try this section.
