Palmer’s Kitchen, Bath and Beyond

My husband and I had Palmer’s remodel our kitchen. They made all my ideas work! I now have the kitchen of my dreams. The crew was courteous and professional. If there was ever a concern or problem they made sure it was addressed.

Picked these guys to get a quote to remodel our kitchen because they were rated high on Unilocal.Don’t waste your time. Guy came 8 days ago, took measurements and said would have a quote to us by the end of the day, would call with the estimate and would send an email the following day. 8 days later and a couple of emails from my wife, still no estimate by phone or email. If it is taking more than a week to give an estimate, imagine how long the work would take.

Outstanding choice for all remodeling needs. We used this company for 2 bathrooms and a kitchen/​office space. Thorough knowledge of construction and a good working relationship with subcontractors who are specialists in their own areas. Most importantly, Palmer’s KBB rates high in integrity. They tell you what they can do and then they’ll do what they said. I recommend this company without reservation.

First of all these guys are not plumbers. They are a handyman type service. That is a key point to know. I called them because I needed help removing a cartridge from my shower valve. A plumber would have the tool for the job. The guy came in and gave me a quote of 60 bucks which I thought was fair and said he could get it out no problem. Well, an hour later not only did he finally give up but he damaged the cartridge so bad that I could not turn the water back on to my house. On top of that he told me I needed to replace the entire valve now and that is something I would have to pay for. Excuse me? You come into my home, and because you do not know what you are doing, you break my cartridge to the point that I can’t turn my water back on and then you tell me I am responsible to pay for a new valve which was fine before you got here? Oh by the way a new valve costs about 900 dollars to have replaced. I went back and forth with the owner TJ for about 30 minutes and it was like talking to a 10 year old kid. He wouldn’t listen to anything I had to say and refused to take responsibility for his handyman’s mistake. Finally I gave up and had Ben Franklin Plumbing come out and guess what? This tech had the right tool for the job, after all he was a plumber. Even though Palmer’s screwed the old cartridge up pretty good he was able to get it out no problem and even put my new cartridge in for me. The valve didn’t need replaced at all there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. Palmer’s has no business working on your plumbing needs. Do NOT use them.

TJ from Palmer’s came out over a month ago to show us samples and give us an estimate on new countertops. He said he would get an estimate to us later that day or the next. After waiting about 3 – 4 days and not getting the estimate, I emailed and called him. He said he had been busy and would get to us within the week. 2 weeks later and still nothing. I again sent him an email, TJ replied that he thought the estimate had been sent to us, and that he would make sure it got to us. Well, it is over a month and a half later and I have still never gotten an estimate of any kind.
I feel like either TJ or the company thought that our project was not worth their time. I understand that not every job is right for every company, but I would have appreciated them just being upfront about it and not keeping my husband and us hanging for weeks. I was very disappointed in their professionalism. I would not reccomend them.
